Was it that stream where the guy said “destiny made you”?
No, that was in a bowling alley in Chicago, I believe. The In-n-Out video was an old video of him out with some friends and another (very, very minor) streamer who is a fan comes up to chat with him. Hasan makes some small talk, and then as soon as the guy leaves just starts shit talking him for daring to talk to him.
So if that uppity dune coon actually got permabanned off of Twitch, would the platform collapse or would they just find another clown to take his place?
There's no way that Hasan actually makes that much money for twitch. He has a fairly favorable contract with them IIRC, so they make less than he does from their relationship while they bare the costs, and while Hasan makes way more money than he deserves, it's nothing for a company of their size.
As for him bringing users to the site... I'm not sure that I believe that. I'm probably biased since I don't see the appeal of Hasan at all, but it's easier for a viewer to find some other angry, self-righteous, radical leftist streamer than it is for them to move to a new platform. Hasan has plenty of people in his waiting room that would love to gobble up his audience and at this point I'm reasonably sure that his fans care more about the community than him, and that community wouldn't survive a migration to another site (if he could even find another site that a) he wouldn't get banned from almost immediately b) which isn't full of chuds).
Hasan needs twitch more than they need him, which makes their utter subservience to him baffling and completely unforgivable.
The ban does the opposite of this. Now there are numerous articles bringing attention to the fact that Twitch has acknowledged Hasan is (now in their opinion) not handling extremist material with care but despite this they still allow him to run free on their website. They didn't get the heat off them, they just threw the whole platform into the oven.
Definitely. There's a reason that they don't give him bans regularly. People here tend to forget that when we describe his antics it just sounds like bullshit. It's (understandably) hard for a normie to believe that twitch condones and even promotes a man who openly supports terrorists as their primary political voice. "Oh, if he was actually supporting pirates capturing cargo vessels and holding the crew hostage there's no way he'd be allowed to stream"... the ban legitimizes the criticism of him in these people's eyes because it's not coming from some random who clearly hates the guy.
Nothing will happen to Hasan. His family is obscenely wealthy. Even if his daddy's neetbux fail to stem the tide and he gets ostracized in America, he can just move back to Turkey and live a life of luxury until he's dead. The only way he's getting his life ruined is if his family disowns him, and the only way that would ever happen is if he publicly disavowed Islam, which he's not going to do despite 110% being an atheist.
His dad founded an anti-Erdogan party. Turkey is going to clamp down on this cockroach harder than Trump will.
