You're correct, it's a common confusion though. I think the reason is that Sun Tzu has this bit:
He wins battle by making no mistakes. Making no mistakes, is what establishes the certainty of victory, for it means conquering an enemy that is already defeated.

Hence the skillful fighter puts himself into a position which makes defeat impossible, and does not miss the moment for defeating the enemy.

Hassan is perfect because he gives the appearance of radicalism without actually being radical. He may say all these radical sounding things with regards to foreign affairs (apparently supporting nationalism long past the point its historically progressive is left wing if the people are not white), but beyond that and fedposting about meaningless adventurism, he mainly just falls in line with the DSA or the left wing of the democrats. He still participates in electoral politics, he still fearmongers about fascism, and still indirectly or directly pushes people to vote democrat even if he whines about them constantly. Hassan sells liberal social democracy as socialism, he lets people who know nothing feel like radicals when their beliefs challenge nothing. The same goes for Bad Empanada and all the other third world nationalist hitlerites that orbit him.
