I've said this before to friends, but competition is good for companies. nobody wants a monopoly. it's good to see the idea of Kick/Rumble being an actual platform people go to. It's been far too long with Twitch's favoritism on TOS, their insufferable ads, the shift in creator payouts because Twitch isn't profitable.

It's amazing how for 10 years jeff bezos can't figure out how to turn his cash burn into a profit, but a billionaire casino owner can and manage to do it without running ads on their platform.

I encourage it and then some. Even though I disagree with some of the shit Kick allows, I'm glad to see Twitch get knocked down a few pegs.

I know it's already a given since Joe Biden's fuckups, but if Trump keeps the PR up, Kamala is ruined. If 500,000 viewers are willing to watch Trump fuck around with a few zoomers for a few hours when Adin only averages 50k viewers, it really shows what direction this country is going in. Call me optimistic, but it would be nice to go back, before identity politics, be able to afford groceries, and not get DEI shit every waking moment of my life.

Twitch streamers are not people, and political Twitch streamers being even worse are somehow even lower than subhuman.
 
I want to put my two cents in on the Rolex thing (and the cyber truck, that i thought was given as a gift too) I'd assume it was just some silly shit done for the camera. I remember Desantis refusing boots when given by patrick bet david a few months back saying he couldn't receive gifts. I can't think it's really that big a deal, and i'll be shocked if it's ever mentioned again.

DeSantis as an active governor has to avoid the appearance of bribes. There's some really stringent ethics rules in parts of government.

Heck just look at the current kvetching over the Supreme Court members like eating dinner once with someone to know how thorny things can get with contributions.

(There was even an old meme that TYT technically broke campaign finance laws during Cenk's failed run.)

Also Hasan moral fagging about Kick and it's connections to Stake is so rich considering he works for Amazon which by his logic is just as bad if not worst then Stake.

Also I have gotten heat for critically supporting Kick, but I think that Kick's success is ultimately a good thing even if I don't agree with every single thing about the platform. Same with rumble I don't see how Twitch losing market share is bad for us.

I honestly think Twitch is the worst of the lower case i internet, I know that is against stiff competition but the favoritism and elitism on that site is so blatant. It['s obvious people like Hasan could shoot a homeless child on stream and wouldn't get banned meanwhile most people get banned over nothing.
