I do think that Hasan's YT expansion was doomed. While a clip channel is well within the realm of realism, a full-on YT career is impossible for him. His detractors have more than a good, established foothold in the YT popularity and I doubt that the YT higher-ups are as big fans of his as the Twitch simps are. The YT guys have more popular people and many of those hate Hasan. The Hasan tactic of "say something that would be considered hate speech by even some of the bigots and then deny or justify it depending on how you feel that day" would not fly in the YT system that does not encourage deleting videos. Shit he says in there, will stay there. His haters can comb through every video.

I understand why he tried it though. I assume that his Twitch contacts told him that there is much turmoil in the higher-ups over Dan's support of him and his actually illegal mouth noises. Testing the waters was understandable.

Really? My impression was the opposite, though admittedly I wasn't paying attention to either of them when that podcast started. But I know that when Leftovers ended a bunch of fans became h3 snarkers, but I didn't see the same thing with Hasan. His fans grow out of it, but I don't think that's because they decided to stick with h3 so much as the fact that Hasan really only appeals to dumb or mentally ill people, and if you're only dumb because you're a kid then you'll eventually grow up and stop being dumb enough to find Hasan appealing.

I meant it more as in the move was both to expand H3’s brand and normalise Hasan and instead in the long run it did the opposite. While the roach took the first victory, he lost the war.
