I liked the first two books and played some of the PC games a lot growing up, but didn't ever get that into it. Still, the ways people are reacting to the Cursed Child has been thoroughly entertaining.

If they really think there's a lack of gay characters in fiction how about they, I don't know, write their own fiction instead of piggybacking off of someone else's work?
 
Well, I'm afraid I might break down and read 'Cursed Child' anyway. Just because I'm curious to see how Albus and Scorpius would be fleshed out as characters- not by teenage fanfiction writers, but JKR herself.

Thing is, Harry Potter has plenty of gay characters, you just can't possibly tell they're there without JK Rowling announcing it so that she can get SJW brownie points without having to do the work (and take the risk) of actually writing gay characters.

While that definitely feels like pandering, at the same time it's really nice she doesn't make being gay the center of a character's personality. Which is essentially what SJWs expect or want her to do.

Why?

Because she said Sirius Black was Straight, not gay. People are shunning her and turning her back on her because... I don't know, a bunch of crybaby tumblrinas really want Sirius Black to be a poof

Fuck 'em. They're her characters, she can do what she likes with them. Although she made a rookie error. She should've said Sirius was asexual, that would've shut them up.

He's an animagus, which is basically otherkin but if it was actually physically possible and not a sexual fetish. If furries lived in the Harry Potter world they'd have a field day.

The fucker had pictures of bikini-clad women permenently attached to his bedroom wall. Sirius was a deep enough character I could believe he did that for more than spite of his pureblood obsessed family.

Except you actually have to good enough to become an animagus, it was just by the grace of God a retard like Wormtail managed to learn. Plus you have to register what you turn into and any markings on your animal...maybe we should register furries actually.

Also, looking back on the Cursed Child as a longtime fan and someone that thinks most fan fiction is tresh and understands good writing...

The only saving grace is Rowling didn't Lucasize it, she just basically said fuck it, canon. If SHE wrote this...I would get Phantom Menece flashbacks.

Wormtail was cowardly, but he was hardly an imbecile.

He tricked everyone in the MoM to thinking Sirius murdered all those people, successfuly hid in a wizard family for all that time, and managed to bring Voldemort back to life.
