So therefore there must be something in Haiti that makes them act more retarded
A Caribbean (not Haitian) guy I know always refers to them as the cursed people and apparently it's a pretty common label in most Caribbean nations. (He also refuses to have anything to do with them and said "I only ever met one decent Haitian")
The story goes that the then leader and some of his fellow rebels met in a hill with a Haitian equivalent of a voodoo queen that was possessed by the Devil. Devil says "Give your people over to me and I will free you from the White man." They agree and then immediately drive out the French. Thus, their title as "The Cursed People." He blames that event for all of the ills in Haiti and claims it will never, ever get better, even the ground they walk on is cursed.
He's told me plenty of local stories from his home town about cursed houses/uncuttable trees, a man who was cursed and would chimp out every full moon, black magic Baptists you could pay to curse people, and way more insane stuff that seemed "normal" to him.
Any of it true? I don't know, probably to an extent. I just found it to be an interesting explanation from a guy whose explanation didn't involve race

All that needs to be said. Bog negros turn your lush green country into a desert. It is probably what happened in sahara as well.

I want to call this out a little more distinctly.

You can look at pre-nigger rule reports on Hispaniola (the islant that Haiti and DR sit on) from captains, traders, government officials. Everyone has the same conclusion:
The western end of the island, that is the one Haiti has, is the VASTLY superior end of the island. There was some trader who basically was looking to buy some land and refused an offer to buy a sizeable plantation because it was on the bad end.

So when you look at the differences in life between the DR & Haiti, remember that by every measure the land the DR has is worse than Haiti.

THIS IS WHAT LETTING NIGGERS RUN YOUR GOVERNMENT DOES.

The late comedian Kevin Barnett was Jamaican and he would regularly talk mad shit about Haitians on podcasts and it was hilarious.

A few years ago, I read the story of a Green Beret who was sent to Haiti to vax the niglets. The locals didn't believe in The Science so he made them believe he was a powerful wizard to be feared by using glow sticks.
Sounds like a hilarious place to go with plenty of ammo and body armor.

I have the mental image of this roided up US glowcommando looking up at the sky pleadingly as he is surrounded by the vantablack uberniggardry that is Haiti, wishing he could at least use a zoo gun to needle the niglets, it would be faster and easier.

I remember when I posted it on my Facebook page, and some commies started complaining, "Err, you think becoming a US colony is good?"

Because yes, having a similar GDP to China is such a tragedy, they should have remained like the antechamber of hell next door.

You will never find people who hate Haitians more than Dominicans, and that's hilarious. I completely get it, I just think it's funny.

It's funny to have such a stark contrast on an island where one side while kind of poor at least is stable and a common destination for people wanting to visit while the other is a lawless land of degeneracy and savagery.

I know leftists will say the debt they owed did it, but it was more of the blatant mismanagement of the late 19th throughout the 20th that did it, not to mention invading DR.

I certainly believe the debt fucked the Haitians, but the very fact that they accepted that debt in the first place in exchange for recognition from France was possibly one of the most retarded political decisions in all of history.

There's nations who have suffered similar debt issues that haven't turned into the savage and lawless land Haiti did. Plus it's been over 2 centuries, at what point do you start taking responsibility about how fucked your nation is?

There's a cruise port in Haiti as well (Labadee), but it's a walled off fortress compound in the total ass end of nowhere patrolled by armed guards with a strict short list on who is allowed to enter, and even then it's considered too risky to use under Haiti's current situation. Contrast to pretty much everywhere else where the port just dumps rich boomers directly into the city proper.

Why the fuck would you go to Haiti even when it wasn't going through a civil war? There's other islands that are cheaper, safer, and more civilized. The only reason I could see is pure curiosity like those who go to Kabul or North Korea.

Labadee is Haiti in name only, it's really a massive privately owned theme park and guests are completely forbidden from exiting into Haiti proper. It really is kind of pointless though because you could easily substitute it with a whole number of other generic functionally identical Caribbean destinations, and watching boomers get mad over cruise lines substituting the port with something else for obvious reasons is kind of funny because they really wanted to go to "Haiti" for some reason.

Apparently "Baby Doc" Duvalier leased the area to Royal Caribbean Group until 2050. The site is apparently doubly fenced off from the surrounding area; passengers cannot leave the property and locals cannot enter. Calling it a "theme park" of sorts is appropriate. It shows how bad things are when even a place like this suspended cruise calls due to widespread violence and travel advisories in Haiti.

I mean the rapist and cannibal gangs should make it a more authentic Haitian experience.
