Aside from the obsession with the Taurus missile system he's on, that's.. pretty much Trump's NATO policy anyway? If the threat is the Trump having influence over NATO in a second term the way out is doing what he wants preemptively so he can't demand they do what they've already done. Tbf Gunther's probably has problems parsing Trump's non linear speech through his poor English and autism.

Also I am once again asking for Euros to help me out here, because this is odd. Gunther's a fan of minor Serbian opposition leader Nikola Sandulovic of the Republican Party in Serbia. Now I assumed the name Republican was just because well, it's common in Republics. Then Gunther retweeted this.

lmfao I love it when even people not from or living in America are butt-hurt over Trump possibly winning the election. I personally don't like Trump but I gotta say he was better for our country than Biden which isn't saying much.

I never understood why so many of my fellow Bongs think he's uniquely bad. I'm not a fan, but I don't see how he's worse than the last few presidents. There'll probably be another one a few years down the line and everyone will be like "why can't he be a proper serious statesman like Trump was?" They're already doing that by comparing Trump to Bush Jr and Clinton, as if they were any better. It does mean we get a lot of Euro- and liberal milk though.

You can't really look at gunther through a political lense at all, he's not that sort of person. He's a goofy autist that makes outlandish claims, and people always respond to him or get real mad at this goofy happy go lucky guy just throwing wild stuff out there. He's just a big goofy dude with zero power or influence.

Yeah, it's nearly impossible to get upset about the things he says instead of marveling at what he's even getting at. Like the Trump/NATO one. Gunther hates Trump for threatening to leave NATO if they don't pony up, but at the same time he wants the exact same things for NATO that Trump wants. Or the Ireland thing. Last year he was clamoring that the Republic of Ireland had a plan to roll over the border into NI and retake it which had to be stopped, now he's touting the pIRA as an example of the benefits of joining NATO? Just.. what? He's old enough he has to know where the famous Armalites came from and no one's thinking of the 1920s.

As for Tucker/Putin, yeah he hated it because Putin bad but his response was Biden should do an interview with a Russian. What this would accomplish is unclear.

Oh I don't really look at him as a politician anymore, I just find him funny. He's like a wholesome cow compared to most of KWs selection of cows. I kinda wish we had more goofy people to laugh at that weren't sex pests, troons etc etc ya know?
 
I for one agree with Gunther I would LOVE to see Putin doing a interview with a Russian journalist. Just probably not for the reasons Gunther thinks.

Ireland spends 0.23% of GDP in Defense and supporting neutrality (whatever that means for a country whose air and sea protected by the RAF and Royal Navy, the Irish Air Corp and Irish Naval Service barely have a pulse outside some UN and police support stuff) is a popular squishy cause. Although the 2% is calculated differently and honestly mendaciously by some countries who include pensions to vets in the figure while others don't, Ireland would be an utter passenger, but probably like Iceland in NATO, it's rather strategic location would more than make up for their own nugatory contribution. Having put a fatwa on Russia and whatnot, Ireland better be careful. Looking on his content on Xitter, he seems deeply important.
