In all honesty guns are both good and bad, it's all about the type of person that utilizes them. When it comes to gun control laws my stance is for Pro gun laws. In a world that's manufactured so many types of weapons, enforcing a ban on guns is only going to screw the law abiding citizens over. Meanwhile criminals won't heed the law and still acquire weapons illegally, that leaves the upstanding citizens much more vulnerable.

The only way banning guns would ever work is an ideal world where every gun in the world is seized and either destroyed completely or put somewhere that nobody could ever find them, maybe then a ban would work. Even then there will still be knowledge on how to build guns again, so they'd have to find a way to keep new firearms from ever be constructed again.

There will always be idiots with guns and trust worthy people with a solid responsibility regarding the ownership of their guns. Either this issue will be put to rest in the future or will never get resolved. Either way, we live in a world that relies and functions on guns, so taking a gun away won't do anyone any good, aside from the criminals that plan to rob the poor suckers that had their gun rights revoked.

Infringed all the time.

In a perfect world. we'd only use them for hunting and shooting targets. This world isn't perfect, however, so the next best thing is simply being reasonable with the laws that are enacted. Some of the laws that have been enacted are pointless, though. At the end of the day, if someone is skilled enough, it doesn't matter if they're using a single shot rifle; they can kill plenty of people. Really, I think the thing that really needs to be done in regards to guns is make them really hard for someone who's had a history with suicidal tendencies or depression to get. Like, make it a 3 month waiting time. It's extreme, sure; but as the stats have shown, most people who die from guns are those who kill themselves. It's far quicker and far less painless than hanging yourself or cutting your throat. You have no time to regret it, it's instant, as long as you don't botch it.
