Yippee, more Online exclusive content! Us single player fans sure do appreciate the cold shoulder Rockstar's given us.

A part of me wants to believe that the next gen version will feature much of that Online content for the campaign, but Rockstar has forgotten all about it ever since the Lowriders update five years ago. Maybe they will throw us a bone, but it's just as likely that we'll only get better graphics and performance.

I don't even mean to be this pessimistic, I'm simply disappointed in the way they've neglected the single player fans.

Rockstar isnt releasing online content in single player. They're going to hide behind the excuse that Online takes place today and GTA V in 2013 but it's just greed.

The optimist in me hopes that maybe Rockstar will throw us a bone and that the PS5 version of GTA V will have a lot of the cut single-player DLC stuff added back in or more of the updated DLC content from multiplayer included in single player but I doubt it.

All I can say is that GTA VI better be good when it finally does come out.

>he believes in new GTA
:story: :story: :story:

Well, they said there was a GTA in development but knowing Take Two these days, they were probably talking about yet another Online update.

I hope that there is a GTA VI for the PS5 since you can only milk the GTA V/GTA Online money train before the law of diminishing returns kicks in

A good way to retcon all the updates with single player is to make GTA Online like a movie. Michael's a movie producer, correct? Make all those scenarios that take place in Online a movie Michael's producing.

That way all the futuristic shit would make sense. The little missions like Gerald's Last Play could actually happen within the timeline.

If they do that, then it would be a rip-off for those who bought it for the previous generation.

I like that idea a lot, especially since movies play a role in Michael's story in the single-player mode.

As for the next-gen being a rip-off for those who got it for the previous generation, I think we may have already jumped the chasm on that one, sadly. I do hope GTA VI is good and that it doesn't take too long to come out.

I do have a theory though...

What if the upcoming GTA Online update is going to be used to preview (and test) some of the features of GTA VI? I think Red Dead Redemption 2 likely also includes elements we'll see in GTA VI since RDR 1 had a lot of features that were also in V but not in IV (animals, wilderness, etc.)

Well to be fair Trump tower is on the cover of GTA 1.
I’m surprised Rockstar never had a Donald Trump like fictional character in GTA Online. They put so many online and single player content, they could’ve at least given a nod to maybe a Trump like Tower in Las Venturas.

And I don’t just mean casinos.

dude, GTA Online has no competition, there's no way it will happen; BTW I would play online mode, but Pajeet-tier netcode is instant disqualification for me

Legit the reason why my friends and I quit playing; the servers constantly shitting out and rampant hacking and Rockstar coming down on the victims of hacks. Some random dude gives you money? You had nothing to do with it but they'll fuck you anyway.

GTA Online is a total shit show if you play public. I honestly don't get why people keep spending money between the horrible servers, the horrible griefing tools they keep releasing and the horrible anti cheat meansures. I'd assume most just fuck around on it with friends like I do but any time I do go into a public lobby it's full of people bitching about modders or griefers so I think the majority still try to play it the way it was intended.

Is modding a big problem on XB1/PS4? I know it's a big problem on PC.

I've actually heard that playing on last gen consoles is not that bad right now. Even though there were mods there too, since most people play on current gen it's a way more tame experience.

I don't know about modding on consoles but before I uninstalled GTA on PC earlier this year, I'd say you had a better than half chance of getting into a server with hackers. You can't really choose to play by yourself either and do stuff because it locks you out of doing professions in a personal lobby.

Modding isn't a problem on PS4/XB1 but that's because of the PS4 and Xbox One's security measures (correct me if I'm wrong) but there are still connection issues, glitches and potential DDoSing.

Remember the character transfer option if you had a PS3/360 and could transfer it to PS4/XB1/PC with your Social Club account? They removed it in the middle of the PC release. Why? Because people were getting money drops or doing money glitches from PS3/360 and transferring them.

Same reason why bounties were removed from last gen.

Its pretty scummy of R* to punish innocent players for stumbling onto these hacks without their volition. They need better security.

GTA: Online is a fucking joke and i have no regrets having my account banned for hacks.

Yeah GTA Online's servers being garbage is a big reason I didn't get RDR 2. I've heard the servers and hacking on that is just as bad.
