the idea of a female protagonist with nu-R* at the helm is a thought no one should genuinely utter
Can we get Fairuza back in here? It's not like she has anything else going on.

I'm almost starting to miss GTA Clones
Tell me about it, I wish Saints Row was still like a "GTA Clone" instead of... whatever the hell the new one's mutated into.

Hell, I'd be happy for a game more like The Third & 4 instead of the abomination the new one's shaping up to be.

Aaaaaannnd, it's a shitshow.

Besides the game just being the PC version, those who transferred found out that their last gen characters were wiped. Also, if you switched consoles previously (PS3 to Xbone/360 to PS4) you can't transfer to next-gen, and finally, if you've split you're account by transferring from console to PC, that console account can't be transferred again.

Was Michael's jacket in the prologue supposed to look like a blurry mess on the PC version too? Because I'm watching footage of the PS5's "fidelity mode", and the jacket still looks like a blurry mess. I don't know if this is Rockstar trying to be "faithful" to the other versions or if they were too lazy to make that jacket look decent for the third time in a row.

I even watched a comparison video of the PS4 & PS5 versions, and the only noticeable difference is that the latter has higher crowd & vehicle density and 60 FPS. The textures are slightly sharper, the foliage density's the same, the character models are identical, and even the raytracing doesn't look that much better than the old reflections.

I can see why they're only charging $10/$20 for it, even they know they can't get away with charging full price for this "effort".

They shouldn't charge anything at ALL. Expanded and enhanced my ass. A few high quality textures and a new start up menu does not a new port make.

One thing I'll give credit for is the $4,000,000 bonus new players get for jumping in. That can be used to buy a business, a couple weapons, maybe a car. Still, inflation affected GTAO after Heists.

It is just so blatantly obvious that this 'version' only exists so they can keep Fortnite kids interested in Online right up until GTA VI is out in 2027 or whenever the fuck. No one plays on crappy PS4s and Xbox Ones anymore, d00d!!

Guarantee that Michael and Trevor online updates are in the works. And then we'll no doubt eventually get a big cocktease update that barely hints at stuff for GTA VI (but only if you pay monies!!). When all is said and done, this game will legit be some kind of monument to media longevity and we're already seeing this influence rub off on everything else these days that aims to be a 'live service'.

Was GTA V the worst thing to happen to gaming? It's more likely than you think.

It feels like the worst thing to happen to Rockstar's productivity. It's been almost 4 years since Red Dead Redemption II (which they've more or less abandoned, funnily enough), and all they have to show for it are some more overpriced Online updates, letting the GTA Trilogy "Definitive" Edition release in its busted state, another V "remaster" that even they can't justify charging $60 for, and barely getting the ball rolling on VI (according to rumors, anyway).

I know that development times have increased, but Rockstar has coasted on GTA V for almost 9 years. Let it go already.

Whoever said Red Dead Redemption 2 was Rockstar's Swan Song? They were 100% right. Have no faith GTAVI will be better than that, only downhill from here on

I'm worried that they're going to put an even larger focus on the Online, to the point of diverting resources from the campaign.

It's a miracle RDR2 had such an amazing campaign, I don't want to know what an Online obsessed Rockstar would do to VI...

On a less depressing note, my copy of Chinatown Wars arrived. For such an old game, it looks surprisingly decent on my New 3DS XL, and I'm impressed by how much they managed to nail the layout and appearance of Liberty City (no Alderney is kind of a bummer, but I guess they had to make do with the hardware limitations). Trying to get used to the controls though, the cars in particular feel a bit slippery (maybe I should use the d-pad instead of the circle pad?).

Something i remember about CW is that it was pretty damn funny, think you cap a troon at one point too
