How's trilogy atm with the updates? It can't be cyberpunk/aliens colonial marines type mess can it? I saw someone say VC ran fine, nothing except a light pole glitch.

It's on sale for $48 at the moment, but I think it'll become cheaper soon enough, so it's your call.

Normally, I'd say not buy it, but currently, R* are adding the original trilogy and another game for free if you purchase the definitive edition. Offer expires January 5th, and the Rockstar Games Launcher is required to access said titles.

Best way to explain the references of GTA SA in V is that the events that transpired in GTA:SA are "urban legends" in the HD universe. Maybe they happened, maybe they didn't.

I still remember the time when GTA V first came out back in the early stages, there were already “Easter eggs” that showed CJ, Sweet and what appeared to be Ryder riding on their bikes from Grove Street, while Franklin, Trevor and Lamar were riding in a van on the way over there

If I recall, Rockstar Games’ message forums literally spent months having fans trying to dissect how Ryder was still alive during that Hood Safari mission.

I forget what year, probably like 2010, the admins of GTAForums would randomly post random pictures of locations in real life in the logo, and the retards would literally spent a bunch of time and effort analyzing them to figure out where GTA V would take place simply because the first one was of a "Five Guys" restaurant in like San Francisco or something.

No matter how many times I explained to them that GTAForums was a fan site and wouldn't know dick about the location, they'd just keep on doing it.

So yeah, GTA fans are by and large extremely retarded.

Since I don't play GTA Online anymore, I didn't realize just how blatant they were getting with the callbacks to the 3D Trilogy.

It kind of makes me wonder with Dan and Leslie gone, if they're actually going to try and "merge" the two universes together more blatantly than just tiny Easter Eggs to try and go for the Nostalgia dollar everyone is so interested in these days.

I think it's a refusal to move on from the 3D era and/or people that don't realize HD and 3D are different timelines with some elements returning because that's too complex a concept for them to understand.

This isn't new. In V Franklin mentions that Grove Street was Families turf "a long time ago".
