Where did Swankivy say that? I don't think I've seen that. She makes some good points; it's clear that Gloria's not in this for the joy of writing, however much she might like to claim that she is; she's in it for the celebrity nature of it. Never mind that a lot of authors don't have that sort of celebrity clout that she's hoping for. Just look at the title of the blog post that she wrote; celebrity's right in the title!

Stephen King was forwarded $2,500 for 'Carrie' (with today's inflation that would be around $12,500)...mind you, this is after King had spent several years sending in short stories to publications and working as a teacher. He didn't suddenly shit out a legacy of science fiction and horror novels, which is what Tesch thinks will happen.

You could also say the same thing for her modeling, music, and directing plans.

I love the wording there. That sums it up nicely.

Oh, I'm not saying that there are no celebrity authors, because there clearly are, but what I'm saying is that they're not common -- not everyone who publishes a book is going to have a worldwide following like that. And, as you point out, King did have plenty of work experience/publishing experience before Carrie, which Gloria lacks. I think Gloria's thinking more along the lines of J.K. Rowling or Stephenie Meyer -- having nearly overnight popularity with a first novel and no previous publishing experience. Mind you, Rowling worked as a teacher for several years before writing the first Harry Potter, and apparently even Meyer worked as a receptionist for a while (and they both wrote stories that are entertaining, and written better than Maradonia). She isn't seeing all the work they put in to write their books, she's just seeing the end result, as you said.

I have no doubt her modelling, music, and directing plans are the exact same -- any way of getting that sweet, sweet fame.

I love this blog post of hers, showing the alleged difference between male and female Facebook users.

(sarcasm mode enabled)

Why, that's quite sexist, isn't it? She's clearly implying that female Facebook users don't know or don't care how to read the messages that they receive and just let them sit on their inboxes, while males are quite technology-savvy and can read all messages they receive, in prompt and orderly fashion. And just to prove her own point about new-media incompetence, she reblogged this entry too. On the exact same blog. Why, this is quite fallacious all around, I've met some technologically competent women, and most know enough to stay away from Facebook in the first place.

While I'm not explicitly saying sex tape...sex tape.

Bonus hilarity points if she's still a "technical virgin" afterward, because she's not that kind of girl.

I'm resurecting this thread because, first: it's awesome! And second....guess who turned into a little rave kid after all?

Guess Molly is her homegirl?

(Also fun fact for the ladies of this forum: Her parents had that jeweled bra custom made for her. It's called a Glory Bra and you can have one just like it for only 70 dollars!!)

Huh, I didn't know that Tesch knew Miley Cyrus.
If Tesch knew Miley Cyrus, one can only imagine what Tesch would copy off Miley.Such as twerking.
One other thing I could say is this: why would they wear such clothes? I can't help but wonder if they have any modesty.

Gloria Tesch is such a dumb rich cunt. She thinks she's a director, writer, actor, rapper, but she's done none of the work to be any of these things. I used to feel sympathy for her, believing her to be led on by her parents, but now she has fully blossomed into a reprehensible twat.

Also, so much for her strongly-held Christian values.

Ah yes, her Christian values, if she had any. When was that mentioned because I don't remember anything about Gloria Tesch and Christianity aside from plagiarizing the Bible through her Maradonia books.

She's a Teeny B Bikini girl now. Teeny B Bikini is an expensive upscale woman's swimwear designer known for having exceptionally revealing bottoms. The Teeny B girls are usually amateur models who have to pay to be on the shoots. But still, they're very selective about the girls and the models do get really good, um, exposure.

She really does have a great figure. But still, for a girl who claimed to be so conservative and bragged about what an "alpha" thinker she was, you wouldn't think she'd be spreading her legs for Teeny B Bikinis.

Let's be reasonable. She's really not that ugly.

She is very attractive. She has many faults, but looks aren't one of them. Writing though.....

Arabella continued, “Here is my ‘aphorism of trouble’, my statement of truth for you: ‘Over seven bridges must you go’!
You have to successfully pass seven stations of temptations to reach the lagoon!
Hear me! Hear me! ‘Heaven and Earth’, hear this aphorism saying by the great Arabella: ‘Over seven bridges must you go’!” (page 54)

I don't understand how someone can be an ultra conservative Christian but then wear almost nothing and go party somewhere where booze and drugs are freely available. To underage teenagers.
Unless she was a hypocrite or just making it up, one would have to wonder why a conservative Christian would wear such clothing and attend a party where underage teens can get drugs and alcohol.

Nope, she's still a Christian. She has also attended the Republican National Convention this year and last. Also she prattles on and on in her book about modest clothes, and how awesome Maya is for not dressing like a "slut".

Look, I'm not shamming Tesh for being a Teeny B Bikini girl or dressing like she does. But she is a hypocrite and that's really irritating.
