Hell of a reality check to pitch a whole show about how Disney doesn't like you and rejected you, only to get rejected again going indie because your Tumblr crowd didn't follow you and your stuff just isn't good in general. I don't like the redesigns of the characters, weirdly too current year-y. They got the og design for the dinosaur guy int he corner for a little bit. It's kind of weird how a flash cartoon from years back is now getting remade like this and people are now just kind of forgetting the original existed entirely including people that were alive and watching rubbeross before he got sent to the game grumps dungeon for how many years

For me, it feels less like a late 2010s "Calarts beanmouth" cartoon, and more in line with the kind of stuff Internet artists on TwiXer, Tumblr, and NG make these days, where there is a bit more emphasis on angles and giving everything that "Pseudoanime girl" look. I can definitely see the Shantae influence, for example. Pretty much everyone in this California "gaming adjacent-indie art" scene has either been involved with, or has more likely than not taken influence from Shantae in some way, shape, or form over the past decade and a half.
Wasn't one of the reasons those games got popular in the first place the unique artstyle? Shouldn't that like be one of THE tells of "maybe keep your shit unique and it'll catch on with people"?

Yeah it's kind of a given the new visual thing seems to also be doing pibby shit looking at the thumbnail but without the whole draw of pibby which was "haha fake modern edutainment character has to go to other REAL WB owned cartoons and watch them die and shit". The only thing we saw of that was the initial trailer where fred flintstone gets eaten and assimilated by the demons.
I don't remember pibby being sent on a quest by a giant talking number one.
