This is what makes Linehan so uniquely pathetic, contemptible, and just plain Chris Chan level stupid.

Its entirely ordinary for a has-been/never-was celeb to remake themselves as some "woke social media e-celeb" and to spend their days and nights ranting and screeching about pathetic causes and non-issues they dont even care about, just so that they can get attention and hopefully ingratiate themselves with the "new in-crowd"

It is less common, but still pretty damn ordinary for such has-been/never-was celeb to be so damn pathetic and lonely that they go full autist in attacking and harassing and spamming random people on social media who disagree with them, and attempt to use the causes they latch on to to try and get a personal army against such people

However, for such a person who is pathologically desperate to pander to and impress the modern woke media/internet SJWs as Linehan clearly is to be so utterly fucking stupid as to not put a lid on unironic /pol/ tier bigotry against the most fanatically protected SJW demographic, and then chimp out and try to start "counter" REEEEE crusades against those woke/SJW people who even so much as gently try to nudge him away from tarding out over this demographic, is frankly a goddamn glorious sight to behold

It has always been my joy to watch the smug and spiteful faux-woke celebs be exposed as secret sex predators and/or bigots, and thus be torn apart by the mob....but this guy is literally going out of his way to expose his own bigotry to the mob and then throwing terrified and confused tantrums when they start ripping him apart

all in all its a farce funnier than anything this hack ever wrote himself

Linehan is so senile and autistic about the tranny thing and his /pol/ tier conspiracy theories about them secretly planning to rape him in his sleep and such, and reacts so hilariously badly to any criticism and mockery by those he percieves as "lesser" than him (i.e. everyone who is not in his personal clique of aging and out of touch white media people who are too stupid to drop the 80s radfem shit in favour of SJW wokeness) that a full on SJW crusade in which EVERYONE he white-knighted for in the past 4 years turning on him and denouncing him as an evil crypto gamergate bigot manbaby will quite possibly make him attempt suicide in furious misery.

I’m still wondering where his intense hatred of trannies comes from. I know he’s appointed himself the official Woman Defender since gamergate, but I can remember a time when he wasn’t so full-blooded SJW. He’s always been super indignant and convinced of his rightness, but not always in this way. Part of me thinks his wife, but I don’t really have any evidence to prove that since she seems to stay out of the public eye. Whatever it is something/one must be influencing him if he’s buying every Progressive viewpoint bar one.

I attribute it to three things

a) picking up the idea that "screech about troons = feminists like me!" back in the 80s and 90s

This is self explanatory, he was basically doing the moronic "kowtow to SJWs so i can pretend to be a moral authority" schtick back before SJWs even existed, and he refuses point blank to abandon any of the inconvinient/dumb shit he spent decades believing will get him asspats

b) being more autistic than ahuvia when it comes to fanatically attacking anyone who disagrees with/mocks the various absurd and shitty causes he latched on to, even when he doesnt give two shits about the actual causes

Linehan is full on SecretGamerGrrl levels of obsessive, aggressive, and hateful when it comes to people disagreeing with him on the internet, especially since he is extremely narcissistic and self important, and sees everyone not a JK rowling level celeb as being "beneath" him and thus subhuman and deserving of screeching tantrums and abuse when they defy him

c) being as gullible and out of touch as a 90 year old on facebook for the first time, and beileving any horror story about "da ebil [INSERT GROUP HERE] are going to superrape all wammen!" and refusing to ever disbelieve any of it so long as it is from an ostensibly "liberal" source

Again, this is tied to his narcissism and inability to ever admit fault even insincerely and even regarding shit he doesnt care even slightly about. He reads some clickbait buzzfeed wannabe article with zero sauces that claims that jokes and memes are a secret nazi conspiracy or a medium article that gamers are planning to sodomize all wammen out of gaming and he will believe every word of them like irish potato god himself dictated them to him.

basically he is an aging and likely undiagnosed autist/aspergers narcissist who is bitter as all hell and obsessed with the idea of him being seen as some great progressive hero in lieu of having a career, only to furiously refuse to countenance even pretending to support a demographic he spent most his life spitting on for existing, even when attacking them makes him more hated than the average klansman by the very "woke" cretins he seeks to impress.

I think it's his wife. His wife is Peter Serafinowicz's sister, Helen. I seem to remember her having pretty extreme TERF views, but I can't find any evidence about that.

But you're definitely right. If it wasn't for some other influence causing to buy into the TERF shit, he'd be constantly posting shit about "respecting trans people".

Has Peter had anything to say about trannies? Not conclusive I know but if he’s a TERF too then it’s a fair bet Helen is the reason. All I really know of Helen is she recently wrote in a feminist edition of a magazine (guest-edited by Caroline Criado-Perez, who is a TERF), but I don’t know what she wrote about, and the last I recall hearing of her was to do with abortion/miscarriage so it could have been about that.

This actually totally makes sense when you remember that these people all use "GamerGate" to mean "person who disagreed with me on the internet about something". This is how Glinner is now GamerGate for being deeply transphobic, and how Glinner sees the trannies on twitter as GamerGate because they told him that TERF wasn't a slur so that means they're GG'ers and all hate wammen born wammen.

I'm not sure. These people are professional victims so they always think the world is against them. In reality, I'd say most of the feminist writers at the Graun and at other media outlets are anti-trans (Caroline Criado-Perez, Sarah Ditum, Helen Lewis, to name some examples). It's also worth remembering that the right-wing press agrees with them on this issue. The pro-trans element exists mostly online.

This is what I find hilarious about the whole thing. In this scenario they are the privileged ones, but are determined to convince everyone that they're persecuted. It's why they're trying so hard to paint all their critics as men so they can steer it back to a framework they like.
 
None of this is really new with him. There's Medium articles from 2016 about him being transphobic and there's a lot of articles and stuff if you just look up him or his wife with TERF in the search.
