Mark Salling dead; 'Glee' star was facing prison for child porn possession

Mark Salling, the former "Glee" star whose career came crashing down after he was caught possessing child pornography, has died. He was 35.

Salling's attorney told the Associated Press he died in the Los Angeles area.

The LAPD told Fox News the department responded to a call about a body found on Tuesday morning.

According to TMZ, Salling died of an apparent suicide. The gossip site reports that Salling's body was found in California's Tujunga-Sunland area.

"The LAPD did respond to a death investigation at 8:50 this morning at the 11900 block Big Tujunga Canyon Road," an officer told Fox News.

In October, Salling pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. He was set to be sentenced on March 7 and was facing four to seven years behind bars.

The actor reached a plea agreement with prosecutors in October in which he admitted he possessed images of prepubescent children. The agreement stated a search warrant found more than 50,000 images of child porn on Salling's computer and a thumb drive.

The actor played bad-boy Noah "Puck" Puckerman on the Fox musical dramedy "Glee."

Sure I do. He was thinking he didn't want to be victimized by a much bigger, stronger man in prison in the same way all the kids he was jerking it too were.
 
One of the more interesting things about pornography is the saving habits of pedos. I read some FBI guy who said people into kiddy porn tend to amass absolutely gigantic quantities of it. Not always by any means, but a significant amount. I think they called it "squirreling" or something like that.

Who wants to bet Jimbo is upset that another fellow pedo is dead and will try to rationalize him by saying "b-but he just studied humans"?
 
All of Lea Michelle's love interests from the show are dying. I bet in a few months time, Jonathan Groff's going to be found dead from a strangle-wank or something.
 
I'm conflicted here. On one hand I feel that pedophiles are the lowest scum humanity has to offer and should all die but on the other I feel that people should have to serve their debt to humantiy instead of taking the easy way out.
I guess that I feel he should have done the 4-7 and then killed himself. Anyway dead pedos are dead pedos.

The other guy from Glee, Cory Monteith, died of a drug overdose in a hotel room. The old mixing booze and drugs deal. At least he wasn't a pedo.

I think it must be the taboo effect at play in regards to the three year-olds. As no one would find a toddler even remotely sexy the concept of them being sexualised probably has the effect of turning on these creeps just due to how shocking the idea is or whatever. It doesn't justify his stash but it might at least explain it.

Edit: I think I left out an important sentence. I meant to add that as the pedo gets more used to the say 8 year olds it gets boring so they move to younger and younger targets. It's like how serial killers tend to start with insects then move to mice and stuff then to cats and dogs and then finally to people.

The only thing that upsets me about this is that he didn't get raped and murdered in prison.
 
The amount of people(/old glee fans) defending him by saying 'no one deserves to die' or 'pedophilia is a mental illness and all he needed was help' is disgusting. A pedophile is a pedophile and not to a-log (can you a-log a pedophile?) but all pedophiles deserve to die.

If this man were older and not a part of the pretty gay glee culture no one would be defending him.

Good fucking riddance.
 
I don't think it's good how we demonize pedophiles. We should reduce the stigma, and encourage them to seek help. This will help us understand the illness better & we will have better progress.
