Haha I didn't even know these games had an anime so thank you for that! I may have to look them up now.

I'm not sure if you've heard of Obey Me but it's an Otome game but also a bit of a rhythm game, itself. It's silly and kinda lame but I just had to recommend it again because it captured me...And I usually just go for straightforward JRPG's and such.

And, like, the voice actors are all super adorable and post a lot on Youtube and interact with the fans a lot. And well, at the cost of being super cringe I'll post a link here to one of their "meet and greets (make sure to turn on CC if you decide to watch)."

Like I said, I never thought I'd ever like a game like this, but they kinda won me over in the end. I blame Covid and all that free time lol.
Is it a mobile game?
I don't really play mobile games, but if it's for the switch I might get it.

must have been said already but damn is this thread creepy to see pop up in the new selection because you just know that 99% of people in this thread are dudes.

Go to the makeup or beauty threads if you want to creep on some dick. Just let us nerdy gorls sperg about our otome/yaoi vidya here in peace. 🤣

As an expert and if I could self-identify them by photo I would probably agree, but there is currently not enough scientific material to call 99% of Salon users fat, ugly and mannish.

Been playing the otome game Nightshade which is a historical romance novel in feudal Japan about ninjas and stuff, it is a Japanese import, but it does have English options so it is a bit pricey, but it is worth it because it is really nice and you can tell a lot of effort has been put into it and it is a higher budget than most otome games, like, the character's lips move, there are a lot of different poses and outfits each character wears, the soundtrack is amazing (especially the good ending song) and yeah, definitely worth it. I finished the Goemon route which was recommended as the first route and I enjoyed it immensely and next one I will do is probably Hanzo.

Is that on the switch?
I feel like I've seen it there, but avoided it due to the hefty price tag, I think they want like 45-50 for it.
Nice to know its worth the money.

Passing here to announce that Costantine IX will be on FGO next month, so anyone who wants the White Day man of the year to join FGO JP to acquire funds and playtime to get access to him and other characters

There is also 5 new characters beyond him

He has now this cool armor too.

We know one of them: Roland (Orlando Furiso), he appears in one of Astolfo's interlude years ago, we know that he likes to walk nude around there for some reason.
Also people believe that the one next to him is Charlemagne, which appeared in Fate/Extella Link some years ago since they are Paladins.
The girl with the bow and the sword, we believe that she is Kriemhilde, the wife of our sorry Saber Siegfried.
Since Sigurd and Brynhildr already exists in FGO and are a really strange couple, we don't know what way they will take these lovers reunited situation.

FGO is my favorite mobile game ever. Started playing the US version in early 2018 and I've only broken my log-in streak once or twice. Always glad to encounter another fan (especially one who appreciates the husbandos like I do!).

Thanks for all that lovely art! I don't mind JP spoilers at all, I just don't tend to seek them out, so that was nice to see. And I'm always curious about what they do for White Day/Chaldea Boys Collection.

And, please, "shill" all you want. I feel like so many have lost interest in this game because there are just too many other competitors in the market now. Let's keep FGO going strong!

I've been playing since day 2 of the game, in the Japanese Server, but in 2019 I had to take a stop of 2 years from playing, then came back but now I am more relaxed towards it. So I have suffered from almost everything the game was in the beginning, like the deadly Orleans filled up with dragons and the 48 Maintenance hours.
As for husbandos, I have a few of them, but my favorite is my boy, a character that I love since 2005

ORION! unga bunga buster critical damage

1652440440997.png

(I remember taking a bus to go to the terminal just to login in the game since I was going to lose my streak since the internet here was offline lol)
Also they just gave us a 4 Star pickup servant and I have almost all of them (f2p, never used a cent in the game lol), So I ended up picking up Caenis. Even as f2p, my account is filled with really good servants (which was funny since I had to play for two years without having a gold star Saber (Caesar is my savior)

My current support list looks like this
Screenshot_20220513-082318.png

My level 100 Muramasa, my boy Shirou isn't in the game and this is the closest thing to it. I really want him in the game as Shirou Emiya.
My Buster brother ORION.

My Cu Chulainn Alter, he saved me so many times in the early game, nowadays he helps me farming the game.
And one of my favorite Fate characters, Bazett Fraga McRemitz got in the game recently,

I almost failed to get her, but ended up getting her in my last roll. Her gameplay is one of the craziest things you can imagine, I just wish she could have battle continutation, it would really help her gameplay

Nice!! Like I've said, I don't know much about JP content because we are so behind here in the US but that's cool to that see Koyanskaya and Shirou/Muramasa get Servants! So cool.

And, OMG, Orion is great. I only managed to roll him on my very new alt account, but he's probably who I use the most on there. Love those Buster bros! Also love Cu in all his forms (It took me 4 years to finally get Berserker Cu but Lancer Cu has been a valuable part of my lineup since I started the game)!

Anyway, I wanna share, too!:

Here's a typical Support set-up from me (I recently grailed and max-skilled Asclepius so I wanted to show him off. He was such a game-changer for me in the Lostbelts).

And, yeah, I love love love my husbandos...so that's usually who I put in my regular Support list. Gil was my first, then Karna, then Merlin...

My only frustration is that I have built up a pretty nice stable of Servants so choosing who to put in there usually boils down to a combo of who is the most maxed-out/who I want to show off/who would be best for general farming.

I'm not familiar with Bazett Fraga McRemitz, but admittedly I need to catch up on my watching/reading. I started with Zero, then watched Stay/Night, then Apocrypha and then the El-Melloi Case Files...So I know I still have a ways to go.

Wow, just now I realized the NP level, I wonder how much money did you expend on it, you must own almost every servant at this point if you want.
I got Gilgamesh in the first time he came in the game back in 2015, it was so bizarre that I still remember the moment where I got him. He carried me untl he got Bond 10, Him and Tesla are my own AoA NP archer that I have and Tesla is almost Bond 10 too...

Of those in your list what we share are:
Gilgamesh, Merlin, sigurd, Okita, Altera, Arturia, Romulus Quirinus (my main Buster Lancer),Enkidu, Bryn, Odysseus. Maid Alter, Skadi, Zhuge, King Hassan, Shuten, Cu alter, Amakusa, Dantes, Meltlilith and Drake.
Ignoring the 4 star and lesser of course.
For the support, I put always the gameplay ones, It is funny because I get almost no FP, usually 200 per day and I am always lacking, even with my meta servants. So dunno about it,
Bazett appeared briefly in FSN UBW anime as the Lancer master, she is the original Cu Chulainn Master, in the anime department, she is more famous in the Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya where she appears as an antagonist. But her first appearance was as a protagonist in Fate/hollow ataraxia VN
If Kirei hadn't taken her off, she and Cu would definitely win the Grail war, the only contender would be Illya and Heracles

She is really really strong

I started with the Stay night VN back in 2012, then read Zero, then hollow but there are lots of things I still didn't finish or even started like the whole Extra and the Tsukihime VN (I only completed the Arcueid route and the manga + Melty Blood manga)
There are lot of content, so don't get much worked up to consume all content since it took decades to make and since FGO the size of it all was greatly expanded.
As for the anime series, I guess I have watched all of them (Except Canaan) by Type-Moon.
The second Camelot movie was really good, I hope eventually they adapt the Lostbelts, it would be really great to see Atlantis/Olympus

The Kuroyuki route should be done last. I really enjoyed the Goemon route because it was so laid back compared to the others. Chojiro route is weird since he's your cousin and very much older than you but his VA, Kousuke Toriumi, has an amazing voice. Some might recognize him from the otome game Hakuouki as Hajime Saito. Other routes did not leave an impression on me.

Nightshade was my first game with artwork by Teita (fucking japs all the names sound the same) Other games with Teita artwork I have played are Fire Emblem Heroes (Male Byleth, Arvis, Saias, etc) and Sengoku Night Blood (an Idea Factory gacha otome game now unavailable after a mere two years of service). Teita stuff is always so colorful and floaty. Very immediately recognizable. Here are some from Sengoku Night Blood:

Fun fact: Sengoku Night Blood cast Yuichiro Umehara as Masamune Date (the dark blue-haired character above). He acquired an illness during 2019 which iirc caused his brain to painfully inflate in the skull. Luckily he recovered, rested a while, and is back. Wild shit. For a few months, his character did not have a voice in the plot updates.

Tbh, in my case I just realised most of the gameplay is a boring grind that consumed entire afternoons that I wish I could get back now on top of the gacha element being you praying to the rng gods to get something good and if not all you can do is just wallow in misery with the other losers. Around the time I realised that I went cold turkey on all my gacha games until 4chan briefly got me into Nu Carnival but then I quit that too once I remembered that at its core it's just another gacha game.

The Kuroyuki route should be done last.
Interesting, because the guide said to do it second to last. Then again, they also said to do Yang's route second in Piofiore then Dante's when I think he should be done after Dante's.

YO FOR REAL

I used Otome Kitten's guide for Cupid Parasite and I ended up in the same situation. The guide recommended Gill as an ok starter and his route actually revealed more plot than I'd like. Ryuki's route is the ideal beginner route for that game imo.

Also i'm retarded as fuck for getting Teita's name wrong repeatedly.
