Last leak about her I've heard said, that her jellyfish is gonna apply hydro on every tick, instead of every other. Area of that thing is considerable, so she might do well in permafreeze.

I lost every 50/50 and got Qiqi/Diluc/Jean. A lot of people like Qiqi with Baal, and she fills Kokomi's intended role better in most teams due to being Cryo.

If I luck out on Kokomi, I want to try to her in a Raiden/Sara team because I'm a stupid asshole that refuses to make it easy for myself and just build Bennett.

So what is the final verdict on a C0 Raiden Shogun? Worth it, or basically just skip unless you are willing to whale?

She's good overall, but her usefulness will entirely depend on what other characters you have built and what you're trying to accomplish. She's at her best with a lot of sub-DPS that have high energy bursts, so I see her paired a lot with Xiangling and Xingqiu. I've used her a lot in my Eula team since she came out and it works like a dream. (Also the constellation power spikes are just something to look forward to whenever she gets a rerun.) If you don't dig her aesthetics or if you didn't have fun with her on her trial, she's an easy skip though, you can't just slap her in any team like Venti or Zhongli.

edit: new abyss just dropped. nothing crazy, just more HP bloat on floor 12 but I was able to get it done. Mona/XQ/Diona/Ayaka first team and Ning/Zhong/Bennet/Diluc second team.
Floor 11 is interesting, it has that new corrosion mechanic. Whenever you kill an enemy you get poisoned though once you get to 15% HP you cant take damage from corrosion any more. Had to make sure my Diona's burst was ready to go at all times which was fun and satisfying to manage, though on the second team I just unga bunga Bennet + Jean overheal every 30 seconds

It's funny to see some people are actually upset that healers get to be useful for once. I didn't have much of an issue with Floor 11 but I usually run Barbs and Jean in Abyss anyway.

Floor 12 was too much for me though. Perpetual Mechanical Array has too many invulnerability phases and ended on a personal best of 6:45. I hate when they add world bosses to the Abyss because they all stall so much for no good reason.

i don't really get the argument that not crit'ing == bad, just don't build her on crit rofllmao? if anything that makes it easier, you wouldn't have to actively look for cr or cdmg, nor get lucky and have both (and roll on def anyways). or if you really care about it, don't ascend her for the talent that does cut her crit rate. they clearly wanna move away from relying on critical hits, so literally just stack her with hp% on everything and she gets huge bonuses from that.

Yeah even minmaxxer f2p/welkiners like me are barely finishing 12-3 with like 1-15 seconds left. It makes me wonder just how fucking further theyre willing to push the hp bloat, the cube has 2.2Million hp lmao. Fucks sake my ning is c6, triple crown, 5* weapon. Any more hp and she wont even be able to 9-star any more.

banner synergy was always retarded, like who builds their team exclusively from current banner chars? you always look how the chars work with your existing team and what abyss requires if you care about that.

Game design wise it makes the most sense, since if you are a new player you'd want a chance to have a solid team rather than jigsaw what you randomly get into a cohesive result. Though in Genshin's credit you can fuck around with the party for dozens of hours until World Level 3 and only then actually needing a decent dps and healer/shielder and by that point you are almost certainely have something resembling an alright party.

I do always wonder how new players get by with all the free shit they missed.

I have Eula but also a C2 Keiqing (that I just got by random without trying) which honestly I kind of like the flippy nature of Keiqing with all the teleports and low E skill cooldown.

Thanks for the feed back. I do wonder if they are ever gonna bring back Zhongli or if that is only if the $$$ slow down for a bit and management needs fresh hookers and blow.

Try Chongyun in place of Diona if you have C2 on him. The cooldown reduction helps, though with a decent NO set, he can propel your freeze team's performance much further by his low cost bursts. When XQ gets a few constellations, swap Barbara for him and freeze things all day.

Somehow managed to oneshot Fire Hypo once its defenses went down using such a team.

I have c0 chong but he feels wasted on Ayaka since she can infuse cryo for free already. Diona might not boost my damage but i got lucky with a Sacrificial bow so she is a good battery + her shields and burst help me keep above +90% hp for hod. Barbara might do no damage but dragon tale buff was what allowed ayaka to carru. I can see XQ helping much than barb once i get him leveled but i dont see chong matching Diona in utility.

IMO the lack of crits is a escape goat, Kokomi's real issue is being a healer who offers nothing unique and her burst requires field time to do uncritable single target damage. Her skills is basically Mona's but with heal instead of taunt and her burst is a flat hp-> dmg boost + team heal on hit. The only other healer who requires field time during burst is Noele and at least she gets a shield + huge AoE swings.

Like, if she was going to be the FIRST 5* healer waifu banner then she had to be more original and useful, even if they had to trade damage for utility. Between yoimiya, raiden and kokomi, this is the third "i'm gonna buff myself, do a flashy normal combo and leave" character in a row. She could crit and i (personally) still wouldnt roll for her.

because it means she won't crit on vapes. that's like asking "why is electro bad" (because electro reactions can't crit either, among other things).
will she be absolute dogshit? doubt it, she's a 5* after all and as you said you can just push her baseline numbers high enough in exchange, but that still won't give you the big burst numbers you actually need, nor does it "fix" her mechanically.
and worse, my suspicion is that she depends even more on constellations and her weapon than the rest to be more useful than a 5* barb.

because people look at diluc/ganyu/hutao numbers and think that's what you need.
any new player gets a solid team for free, you might not 12* abyss on level 30, but for everything else even lisa and amber are more than enough. plus you get xianling around 20-25 and noelle from the starter banner (and another char which has a good chance to be one of the standard 5*). you don't really need any new chars for a long while considering what you got (fuck xl is probably the cheapest/easiest to build and gear from all chars and will always be useful).

but if you wanna roll just pair rosaria with kaeya for resonance while running lisa for superconduct and a flex spot you can fill with noelle if you need the heal/shields, heck even amber with the aggro bunny is great depending what you fight (like, what's the easiest way to get a fatui to turn around..? but those only show up towards the end of liyue anyway). if you pull kokomi you can use her with anemo mc for a freeze comb, or use xq which is always a great char to have (without sac sword not as good for freeze tho) and beidou is just fun to play and giving you the big greatsword numbers.
not to mention how dogshit it is to get 4* chars to begin with, pretty much no one gets them in an equal amount so even if you roll for the 5* there's a good chance you end up with 1 or maybe 2 of them with a few constellations.

literally all you need is build them, but if people go "uuh tierlists say kaeya is shit I rather spend my resin on farming artifacts on lvl22" that's their own fucking fault. the game isn't really hard, you just need to plan ahead and actually build the stuff you got (and supports don't need that much investment anyway). you won't be able to ungabunga shit left and right diluc-style, but in the long that will also make you a better player.

I'm living the C2 R4 meme, managed to hit in the range of 150k+ on her burst with full resolve stacks with the highest being something like 190k. Now I'm starting to wonder if C6 Bennet would turn Raiden's burst into pyro and if you could trigger vaporize off of Mona's burst with that. I'm gonna count my blessings with everything I got off this banner but I only managed C1 Sara meanwhile Xian and Sucrose would both be C5 from just this one, rolling for 4* is just pain.

I'm not that mad since the only thing i really wanted was welkin and i got it for almost the same price (welkin is actually 28 reais) but this is not something i want to deal again. My unironic criticisms from this experience.

1-This is waaay too much effort just to put money on a videogame, especially if you dont play on ios. Why cant i simply use the card code on pc? Why cant i buy this stuff from some online store instead of ingame? Why does the pc version hates national cards? Do the devs hate money?

2-Their choice of words makes the devs sound scummy OR insane. I know it's "technically free shit, stop whining" but its explicitly stated how much those "surprise bundles" are worth it in cash. In what universe does 2 chairs + 1 table + 1 namecard is "valued up to 56 dollars"? At worst, i expected that much money worth of mats.

3-Why did they think this was a good marketing idea? It preys on ignorance and only makes the player spite you. No one who knows the rewards would bother with this. Even if you (somehow) love this, the bundles are limited per account which makes no sense since there is nothing here worth stacking???

4-Why make a google crossover out of all things??? No sane person ever wished their chinese gacha had google themed chairs. You could at least make something useful or cool like a google themed glider. I'm sure some people would pay double money just for that.

The description says "no one knows what is made of but it's very hard" so it sounds like it's 100% solid plastic? It also says it's "confortable" but it looks like ass to sit on practice.

The worst part is how the chair is so large that characters barely sit on it, making it look like they hate it. I dont see anyone relaxing with that huge hole and the tall armrests. Was this designed for huge fat americans?

On some unrelated but positive note, i finally got all the fishing rods! Now i can stop fishing until sumeru releases.

The point is that the others are strict upgrades as long as you're in their zone. The moon rod speeds up your catch but also speeds ups your drops so there is a trade off. If you're a bad fisher then it might not be that much of an upgrade.

eeeh not at all if you can already fish with default rod or dont care about fishing? You get an achievement after the first rod and it might make the next event slightly easier. Otherwise it's more like bragging rights and a few seconds saved.

You're not exactly wrong. After getting to use all of the rods plus the event one, the faster fishing time isn't that significant. But I love the collecting aspect of it, and the Inazuma and Moonstringer rods have gorgeous designs. Totally worth having for the aesthetics alone.

Now if only Mihoyo let us fish as our active characters instead of the Traveler...

Anyone else just think it looks like a floating donut? Least the effect and stat actually synergize, but the weapon banner is still a complete scam (fun fact - before I clicked on that, I rolled on it for a Wolf’s Gravestone, then got a second one through the Standard Banner about a month later)
