I feel like this has something to do with the lore, I mean I don't play HSR so I have no idea if the Fate crossover is canon or not. Aloy keeps sending us birthday messages so I'm not sure how that's being handled.

So apparently there's a new Genshin "boycott" going on for a change, but I haven't been able to find the reason for it, only that Google classroom is getting spammed with negative reviews again. Has Hoyo done a racism again or what's the complaint this time?
Not that these things ever accomplish anything anyway, since the twitter activists participating aren't spending much if any money on the game anyway, and they're not even actively boycotting the game by quitting either because according to them they hurt Hoyo most of they keep playing but don't spend. Lmao. Retards, all of them.
(Not that I want to defend the poor indie company Hoyo, I just hate that kind of performative activism even more.)
Evanescia is coming out tomorrow in HSR, I'm really excited to be honest, been saving since I started playing (more like replaying I suppose) in like November last year to get a nice team that I like and elation with Eva as main DPS fits the bill perfectly, definitely going for E2S1 maybe even try getting some more eidolons if luck is on my side, but that will depend, especially since her team is far from complete and I'll have to pull for other characters.
I have heard that Aventurine SP will be Elation and work on the guy team with Ashveil and Blade SP, but we still don't know who the fourth member might be. I wonder how an Elation character is supposed to function alone in this context. Blade in his beta had an eidolon that caused him to charge up faster whenever party member used their attacks (now removed). Perhaps Aventurine will get that, and Aha Instant will get action advanced and charged up whenever other non-elation party members take action.

The next patch has a total of 60 pulls to it after they spent a year artificially inflating the meta and shilling new all-premium 5 star teams. Plus the next event reward weapon just being a recolor weapon skin of an already existing model. This is greedy even by hoyo standards. Plus there's the fact that they are actively moving rewards into their roblox knock off and cutting down on exploration. Dorman port has been anticipated for 5 years and the region was objectively lackluster and you could 100% it in a few days if you wanted to, same with the prior nod krai expansion.
I don't think this will go anywhere because shnez is right around the corner so all of the outrage will instantly die once the new shnez characters drop.

Ah, so that's the reason. Hoyo has definitely become unreasonably brazen in Nod Krai (Natlan nightsoul racism was one thing, but the lunar shill is on yet another level) and their desperation to get us to play that Milliastra slop is annoying. So I get it that people are pissed.
However, the same people talking about boycotting are also saying that Nicole, Durin and Lohan are bad units that "brick your account" if you get them, so they might as well save those measly 60 wishes and wait for the powercreeping stellar units.
See, I'm very picky with the units I pull. Since I'm allergic to traveler-sexual characters I lack a lot of the most "essential" units like Columbina or Skirk. However, I make my decisions in the full knowledge that it keeps me from doing the hardest content in the game. And since team restrictions will only get stricter in Snezhnaya imo, I'll just have to accept that it's going to happen more often. Maybe there'll come a point where I'm frustrated enough to even drop the game, who knows.
All this to say, that while I for once understand the frustration, I just find the way the twittertards go about it dumb. It's simply not effective, especially since none of them are whales. Hoyo won't care if a bunch of minors drop their welkin that they couldn’t keep up consistently due to not having an actual income anyway. If they're really as outraged as they pretend to be, they'd drop the game and play something else (and no, HSR and ZZZ don't count). As it is, they're too weak-willed to do even that, so it’s all just useless noise they're making.
I wonder what would be the final fate of the Hoyoverse. Either they keep making new games for less and less players, or that Genshin will exist forever in life support with dwindling amount of players like WOW does.

Not only that thanks to the refunded pulls I'm at 110 pulls, next target is Yao's LC, hoping I win the 75/25 there too, fuck Himeko SP, my vertical investment for all of 4.x will be Elation with Evanescia as the main DPS.
I think genshin is the most frequently "boycotted" gacha. I would assume players say theyll boycott but still keep logging in but not give any money(which if so is pretty fucking retarded). At this point hoyo doesnt and shouldnt care about the community because no matter what they do, the whales/regular players will just keep coming back to the game and thus reinforcing the bad behavior hoyo has.

You should be clearing abyss 12 its not that difficult, its only theater that should be blocking you from primos because of a lack of units. Even Stygian is nothing if you just go to difficulty 3 (where the last primo rewards are).

The ui is ass, which is a consistent issue in this game but the mini game itself is just straight up broken. There's horrible latency...that is when your inputs are actually registered. Oh and the best part? If you change the key binding for the drums, you change the key bending for eveything!

Also just personal for me but it's actually kinda difficult? It shows you a brief tutorial, not an intro stage, mind you, just a screen telling you that you need to get ready because notes will come and fuck you. And then you're just thrown into the fray of what feels like a hard difficulty stage
