Yeah, but at least it's not gacha. If you really want something similar to Warframe, there's Duet Night Abyss (and it's also not gacha), but at this point it's a security risk to play this one and it's likely going to EOS soon.
 
So NTE had a patch update when I booted up the game and idk it seems a little worse now?

Some of the stores in the map menu have lower case descriptions. Maybe that's always been a thing but it doesn't speak good things about quality.

My laptop is a piece of shit yet it could handle the game and before the patch, there was no input delay. Now there's a more notable delay during combat. Like I dodge and characters react after a few seconds.

Menus glitch out often now and the buttons in the bottom right corner vanished completely and I can't bring it back like with WuWa.

Oh and the camera bug out often too, not automatically moving to face the enemy you're locked on. Also lock on disables itself every time you switch character.

Well I'm getting a new laptop in a month or two but still...damn

On a funnier note, you can sometimes get assistance from random characters during boss fights and when they depart, they just....slide across the floor without moving and fade away. It's the fucking funniest and it looks so cheap

Fair enough, and yeah I've thought about DNA but I'm not really sure if I can run it to begin with (low end laptop and no console release in sight), not only that but as you say that whole issue where information got leaked and all of that definitely killed my mood to even try the game.

According to the player base it's not great at all. Terrible movement, boring grind that rewards afk, terrible weapons balancing and garbage character balancing which the devs responded to...by adding another layer to the dupe system.

And bad monetization if you care about that. My piece of shit laptop could run it but the game is not optimized well from what I remember. Also is a resource hog and won't close properly when you exit the launcher

Neither will NTE actually.

Oh and controller issues that still has not been fixed
 
So Lohen isn't standard after all. Interesting. Redditfags are already whining. I don't care, I was going to get him anyway.

6.6 is going to be super painful for me. I want too much, but my primo savings are quite low. Oh well. I'm going to skip 6.7 and Sandrone, so yolo, I guess.

I think I might be late to this discourse, but you CANNOT possibly look at any of the Honkai: Star Rail character descriptions and tell me that Mihoyo didn't just somehow Deepseek them and corrected all the logical errors. Genshin Impact is also made before LLMs and Generative AI are even a thing but I don't know enough if something changed midway.

Also don't forget that China is the hive for most, if not all generative AI/LLM models.
 
The Snezhnaya preview was cool, really short but cool nonetheless, the zone looks really cozy, reminds me of dragonspine a lot and cryo traveller throws a literal ice spear so that's dope, and from the looks of it thanks to the archon statue we can confirm that the Tsaritsa is indeed a fae to some degree, as she has the elven ears, some people are theorizing that's she might be kind of a Elysia expy, like Cyrene, it would be funny as I'm sure lots of people would lose their mind over it.

Overall I'm really excited for the new region, might not pull again till we reach it, but that depends on how Sandrone comes out, as for all we know she could be a Ineffa situation, in such a case I will probably pull, but only time will tell.
 
I got on the top 60 of the score event in mecarashi. Not that impressive as it's a small game but good flex. Maybe i am the whale after all.

It's a bit more complicated than that. They actually removed core things like idle animations, tap animations, victory animations and even paid interactive scenes, that which is pretty crazy cause that shit was not cheap lol.

Well, it's not removed but you would get basically an exclusive 3D room where you can pose your waifu and have her do unique interactions/lines and full camera control and touching (usually some sort of fetish or ASMR shit) but now you can only kinda... stare at her.

I even tried to login but i forgot that i lost my fucking account??? I remember that happening, i guess i spent so long without playing that it unlinked or something, rip. Had all the event medal up to the day i quit too.

I do not know why they bothered bringing it back like this but it's obviously some kind of desperation move to show the game isn't dead, but if it stays like this then idk how the fuck they will monetize the goon again. They actually already played around censorship by having a "semi-official" mod that removed the censored stuff on PC version but now it doesn't work anymore (people managed to bring it back but it's unclear if it could get them banned). They wont be able to get away with it anymore.

The ironic thing is that this would be much easier to avoid if snowbreak actually had a chinese server separate from global, where they could be censored while others aren't (which is bad but understandable) but IT DOESNT. It only ever had one server, which was kinda nice cause if it had different servers you know global would be treated like SHIT.

And bakc to genshin, lohen being standard really sucks ass. I was really hoping to get him in the anniversary and get C1 too but i guess he was too good to be standard but at same time his kit is too restricted for a limtied. At least i have durin but Sandrone is cryo and comes right after him...

well thats just fucking gay. His whole kit benefits strongly from nicole and durin so having his 2 BiS (arguably mandatory since he NEEDS off-field sub dps' to gain buffs) teammates be also event banners is just batshit insane. Especially for a character which 100% won't be out performing the lunar shilling. They are asking for you to pull him, his sig (which he NEEDS since no viable alternatives), for nicole and her cons and also her sig (likewise no viable f2p alternatives) AND also durin + his cons. Unless he manages to powercreep mauvika/citlali melt teams somehow he is actually bellow dehya tier at this point. Especially with the new big region right around the corner.

To be fair, he has a few side choices but those come with caveats.

Furina + escofie are good but by now you're playing a worse skirk.
Bennet + xiangling are good but now you're playing a worse Wriothesley (i assume lohen can't enable xingling).
Mavuika subdps is really good but now you're playing mavuika as subdps.

Weapon wise he has 3* white tassel (usable with bennet/nicole atk buff) and jade spear if you have one, can use some stat sticks too (homa, buzzsaw, arle spear etc). Nicole has oathsworn (3+ year old event weapon hope you got that one!) or atlas if you got unlucky.

He's not actually dehya tier, his numbers are still better than ayaka but at least ayaka works alone while Lohen doesn't. He mostly exist to be a cryo enabler for dps durin, and durin really wants nicole and even then this team is not even close to zibai premium.

Going back to more rambles, this is one of the stingiest patches in a long time, giving only 60 rolls in it's entirety for f2p. I also found out that they are REDUCING the gems you get from main event and moving them to miliastra bullshit events

This version also doesnt have a free weapon, it has a free weapon skin... that is the same as a previous weapon, the melusine claymore.

Instead of getting a nicole or lohen f2p weapon we get recycled cardboard now. I guess this means the old ones won't return and we won't get new ones. I will never get festering desire. Congrats to the people who whined about "event weapons were shit anyway".

I never understood why people are freaking this hard over it. That doesn't automatically mean that she's ruined forever, right? IIRC some people have issues with how Cyrene was written and somehow that would translate to the Tsaritsa? This doesn't make sense to me at all.
