The day theme in Nasha Town where it's some dudes doing some acapella thing is like crack to me for some reason, as well as the day theme for the Frostmoon Scions, which was in the initial web event.

Already got Lauma so I'm good there but if a character is bad without other characters I'll still pull for them if I like their looks or personality as I don't bother with end game stuff so I dont mind a bit of jank. Which boss does Nefer counter? Because if it's one of the existing ones then they get utterly destroyed by my current team of "Furina and the Cryo Wife Squad" (Ganyu, Ice Coffee, Citlali)

No one! That's the problem.

They made a pink crab boss that requires you to bloom the mushrooms in a circle around you and Nefer cannot counter it because she disables bloom and only deals lunar bloom on enhanced charge attack that is single target. Meanwhile Lauma hard counters it cause her skill does lunar bloom dmg around her and she solo stuns the boss with one button.

Well, you can say Nefer will be played with lauma anyway so it's not an issue but if Lauma is solving the problem here then Nefer is not actually doing anything unique. She does much more lunar bloom damage than lauma but doing more is irrelevant as only the AoE matter for this boss. You could replace Nefer with neuvilete, haitham, nilou or hell even cyno.

This is different from Ineffa vs Flins because the higher damage Flins does matters against the cactus and fireblade fatui, he should stun them much faster.

Nefer also has other small but notable issues. Her burst is considered a dps loss because it's not lunar charge dmg so it's kinda there for decoration (at least ineffa gives EM buff). Optimizing her dps requires jump/dodge cancel charge attacks which is always tiresome. Her strongest team has no sustain Lauma doesn't sustain like ineffa, she can't use xinqiu (no normal attacks remember) or anemo/xilonen. Hell, zhongli is considered a good sustain for her due to shred and shield. A geo unit supporting a dendro dps.

That said, it's kinda of a cynical way to look at a new unit through the lenses of "IF IT DOESN'T COUNTER THE ENDGAME BOSS WHAT IS THE POINT?!" but i guess this is the current state of genshin community and i'm part of the problem. She'll probably be fine and Columbina should hopefully make her a lot better.

I see a LOT of expectations put on columbina as a "archon level support", but it's funny how every harbinger so far has been an enhanced normal attacker... Just like mavuika was "obviously going to be 5* bennet". So if she ends up being a dps it will be funny.

The video is inoffensive as it gets, I just wanted to sperg on the Limbus Company argument, since their point buy system is so good I have all the characters and only pay for the season pass. It's the usual case in gaming where god forbid you actually praise a company for doing the right thing, but complaining about bad things is so overdone repetitive that people just tune out, losing the whole point.

If he had done some tier list of predatory games, that would have been far more interesting and beneficial. The Tribalism argument is also common to basically every fanbase, including non gaming ones. If anything not having a fanbase doing retarded shit means your game is on the way to EOS, not to mention that fanbase can quickly turn against the gacha when it gets over greedy, like the meltdown over Infinity Nikky.

Entire video of him is just a intellectual wannabe mentioning all monetization schemes have been used before not even exclusive in Gacha games. Except he makes them somehow being only thing in Gacha despite he mentions mobile games at the start.

He lists a bunch of reasons (monetization schemes) here as something can be easily generally agreed upon. Then moving into something else, that isn't quite on topic to make "naive" or idiot audience getting more agreeable on the idea. Happens twice in video, not once just at the end about triablism.

I don't want to rambling much, so I'll say the main point here. He puts triablism at the end not because he really thinks triablism actually really really is a monetization tactic. He puts it there because he was salty about other people calling out on his trash or horribly wrong criticism on certain aspect of the game once. He paints it generally fandoms being fanatic so even a valid criticism (read his opinion, not necessarily true or right) is denied by the fandom.
The people who giving proper complaints about negative aspects of their games already made videos before this faggot's "reviews".

So it's a basic bitch video of "kids don't do drugs, smoking, drinking and gambling" but without actually encouraging people to be more responsible with their spending. I'm saying this entire video is as shallow as culture war grifters or any form drama CC.

Character usage in abyss is basically the same as last year for me, since I quit the game anyway (the second pic date). I accept of not getting Dehya to C6. No I'm not interested in any upcoming Chinese games from TGS.
I'll stick with WuWa til collab and otome (because unfortunately the genre aren't that friendly on Steam) on switch emu.

I'll add that 99% of the time, Gacha companies don't give a shit about any communities outside of Asia. So it's an argument that is completely pointless to the audience listening.

Finally finished the Archon quest. I really liked it, and I'm looking forward to the story continuing, I really like how the Traveller is now speaking for themselves more rather than Paimon doing all the talking, although Paimon's new voice makes life a lot easier. Can't wait to beat up that edgelord loser for weekly trinkets in a future version.
 
Didn't realize that the Dreamscape change also applied to Lucidscape. Neat, 900 clear drops for free every reset
 
I really love events like these on anniversaries, Arknights does them too and they're a treat, my stats kind of suck but I barely started this new account some months ago, got the stats of my old account too but they're ancient and I haven't really played on it since around 2022-23.

Also wow the lantern quest thing was pretty underwhelming compared to what I thought it'd be, and you unfortunately need flins to even do it despite you having cutscenes where you're talking to him. I didn't even get an achievement for getting all of them, that's a fucking first. You'd think they'd have done more with shit hinted as some blatant quest element but eh.

The duck being his boss is great, he hard counters it and it drops electro gems. I hate how i don't have anemo gems to level mizuki, ifa and lanyan because their bosses aren't anemo. Not giving him wild hunt mats is questionable tho.


BTW It's first of the month so it's gacha agenda/slander day. Who is ending service tomorrow? Who is killing genshin?

The gacha is the least of GFL2's worries. Balancing, lack of an endgame/improved gameplay and a watered down story.

Consider GFL2 on borrowed time. In the meanwhile, I'll enjoy watching it burn.
