Mane is up again. We made it to the 29th round before dying (although I think this was my fault. I did Anjo's ult and we died). I lost 37 on the 28th turn.

Almost an even distribution of DPS.

Shitting on Rememento part 3!
As translated by ChatGPT.
So in regards to the user hostile practises, it's much MUCH worse than initially thought internally.

"It’s unclear if this is due to the incident, but according to a rumor posted on Blind in June 2025, the company is experiencing financial difficulties, such as delayed employee salaries, and employees are pointing to the CEO of BlackStorm as the root of all the problems."

Not enough with that but there's a ranking graph too and it's not looking good.

Purple refers to free ranking and red is sales ranking. Free ranking means the popularity ranking of free apps based on downloads within a short time combined with player retention and engagement.

Sales ranking refers to how much money the app made. Not in numbers but note so in relation to other apps. Blue is paid ranking, for apps you need to buy. It's wholly irrelevant.

Above the graph, the table refers to both sales and and free ranking. So in short the game hit #1 of downloads back in December when it was released in Korea.

But it peaked at #62 in sales so while lots of people downloaded, not nearly as many people wasted money there as other games.

It made so little money that it fell out of the rankings for sales altogether and player numbers have been dipping.

I am fascinated by this, especially with that rumor about the CEO running the company into the ground.

Edit: Did Nannas side quest in Black Bacon. Well did and did, I had to restart the first stage three times because you can very easily softlock the entire mission.

That's annoying.

Seeing Gacha get pumped out at the same rate as GaaS AAA Slop is rather funny - yeah, every new one will probably find a niche and a handful of whales to keep it afloat for a while, but I'd assume most are just chasing the dragon that is "Genshin"s Total Player Count is HOPW HIGH?!" without realizing Genshin's launch was lightning in a bottle or that people that don't have gambling addictions will pick like, 3 Gacha's at most to actually spend on.

At least Gacha is upfront about wanting your money and doesn't try to pretty it up with buzzwords. Or maybe they do, idk I can't read Chinese or Moonrunes

Uninstalled ZZZ again, only installed to get the freebies and once the week was over it is out again. Will install HSR for Saber and Archer then see what they do about the balance.

Wuwa I'm still having a blast with, the Anniversary was mid but I ended up getting what I wanted and more so I can't complain too much. Next couple patches look awesome as well

Does anyone know what are the top most popular Genshin characters and the top most popular HSR characters, and why? Are there any general trends here, ie character design, personality, story writing/screentime, playstyle, marketing, etc? I am having difficulty finding good research for this online. It does not help that the site that was tracking banner revenues stopped updating (ie, Mavuika, Castorice, and Hyacine aren't tracked). Also, do we know how popular these characters are outside of the game? Ie have any of them attained Mario or Pikachu household name status, maybe not in the West but in Asia?

I was surprised to learn recently that Raiden Shogun has her own Wikipedia article. There are only a few Genshin characters with dedicated articles:
Yun Jin is unexpected, but the rest make sense to me for being what are probably the most popular characters. There are countless metrics you could look up to get hard numbers, like popularity polls or booru tag counts or subreddit memberships or even just sale numbers, but my bet is that the top characters are archons and women who are "cute" or "pretty" (but not "hot").

Tbf, I don't think I could have at least day 1 semi-build Carte without echo modifiers and abundant amount of overworld local specialty mats for Cartethyia.
Echo modifier is god-send for 4-cost echo. I can only need two 1-cost echo with double Crit stat for better tuning.
Anyway, according to my luck, I'm definitely gonna lose 50/50 next time.

Imagine stop playing ZZZ, only to see this girl having the same voice as JP Belle. And she's even a TAOIST, wuxia intensified. THE PAAAAIIIINNNNNN.

I'll try rolling for her despite 4* status and "happy memories" keepsake.
