Okay so time to spit my tinfoil hat theories regarding Rememento after scouring Namuwiki. I am of the impression that the global launch was actually a desperate attempt to prevent EOS.

I have already mentioned the bad PR in Korea regarding the CBT but hot damn I had no idea it was such a mess. Yikes on bikes.

Shitting on Rememento part 3!
As translated by ChatGPT.
On April 16, 2025, with the 1.3 version patch, the resources that users could previously obtain were drastically removed, effectively making the system worse.

The core issue is that the universal breakthrough tickets have disappeared. In Rememento, although characters have as many as 12 breakthrough levels, the game originally allowed players to regularly and through various means obtain universal breakthrough tickets. These tickets functioned similarly to universal resources like "Goddess Stones" in Princess Connect!. However, the developers, believing that having 12 breakthroughs gave players a negative impression, decided to reduce the cap to 5 breakthroughs. At the same time, they almost completely eliminated the sources for acquiring these universal breakthrough tickets.

Previously, players could earn:
  • 1 ticket per week by playing 15 matches in the arena,
  • 1 ticket every 3 weeks from the event shop,
  • 2 tickets every 6 weeks if focusing solely on breakthrough tickets from the pass shop.
All of these sources were removed. One of Rememento's strengths was that as long as you obtained the character, you could eventually max them out just by playing steadily. But now, unless you pull duplicates via gacha, it's essentially impossible to fully breakthrough a character.

Another problem is that, under the excuse of a "shop renewal," they drastically reduced the number of summon tickets players can obtain. Previously:
  • Players received 1 regular summon ticket every day — now it’s replaced with 10 Dawn Stones.
  • The weekly limited summon ticket was completely removed.
  • The 300 Dawn Stones given every 3 weeks were reduced to 100.
  • The 10 regular summon tickets from the event shop were cut to 5.
  • The 9 regular and 9 limited summon tickets from the pass were completely removed.
Currently, they are giving out 30 limited summon tickets and 60 regular summon tickets through an event, but it’s unclear what will happen once the event ends.

In addition to the resource issues, there are several other problems — notably, they suddenly blocked the 5★ character selection ticket that was originally offered to new players and only notified users after doing so.
So new players used to be able to nab a free 5* but they cut that. They made it a lot more stingy which...to be fair is on par for a gacha game. But the issue seems to be with communication becuase Blackstorm seems allergic to good PR.

*Dawn stones are your resin.
*Breakthroughs are your cons.
*Tickets are your pulls

In addition to that....
Due to user-hostile patches such as the removal of breakthrough tickets and the drastic reduction in summon ticket availability, players have expressed their confusion and dissatisfaction across various communities. However, instead of reassuring users through communication like roadmaps, the developers have effectively shut their eyes and ears—merely posting a few patch notes about bug fixes and nothing more. As a result, a large number of users have left the game.

About a week later, on April 22, the company’s representative finally posted a notice. The explanation was that they deemed it impossible to sustain the game with the previous business model (BM), and therefore had no choice but to make these changes. However, unsurprisingly, a notice like this coming a full week after the incident only further enraged the community. What made matters worse was the fact that the generous resource distributions proudly showcased in the 100-day anniversary broadcast—less than a month earlier—had now been completely revoked.

It is suspected that the company is choosing to endure the backlash and loss of users for now, betting on the release of the global server and real-time PvP in the future.

Despite all this, about a month later, they added “Path of Glory” rewards to the PvP reward pool in the patch notes—leading to even more backlash.
BUT THEY DID FUCK ALL FOR THE GLOAL RELEASE. AAAAAH THEY CANNOT HELP BUT FUCK UP.
:story: :stress::story:
So I'm not alone in my tinfoil hat musings. Which brings me to the revenue question, and it is nothing surprising.
From the time of release, Rememento faced relatively little attention because it launched during a period when major updates for similar games and the release of several high-profile new titles were already anticipated.

To make matters worse, the open version was riddled with bugs, causing even the few players who did try the game to leave. (For more details, see Rememento: White Shadow – Controversies and Incidents.) Although the developers managed to fix critical bugs and post an apology and improvement plan within the first week, gaining some upward momentum, the game ultimately failed to break into the top 50 in sales rankings—resulting in a disastrous launch performance.

After this commercial failure in 2024, the game continued to decline. By early 2025, it had dropped out of the top 100 in revenue rankings, and by mid-January, it had fallen out of the top 200 entirely—effectively disappearing from the charts.

According to a developer note dated January 6, the Southeast Asia launch is planned for version 1.4, and the Japanese release for version 1.5, so attention is now on whether the game's commercial performance might turn around.
Not a fat chance in hell with how terribly they communicate. I already dropped it, and I'm just following the drama.

So the game is just barely coming along, releasd at a horrible time and has been a giant fucking mess since day one, bleeding players and money month after month - even in Korea.

Indeed, no raw data is out, not even on Gacha revenue. I thought it was due to its freshness of the global release, but since I couldn't find anything for Korea, I wondered if it was because it was barely surviving. Turns out, it was barely surviving.

Also, I hope they fix the voice issue, or those Japanese players won't stick around. I hate to be so sadistic but I am fucking loving this dumpster fire.
:story::story::story:

In all honesty, had the devs been better at communcating and not been salty fucks about how Star Rail was their idea first and the CBT issue, I would probably have pitied the situaton they are in now. I certainly pity the people who don't get to make decisions, they just do what they are told.

But whoever was in charge of this mess sounds like a two-faced tard so there's something darkly amusing to watch this blow up in their face.
SEIIMORE, TECTONE, YDCB, SEANB0605, VOLKIN0605, TIMAEUSS0605, ZOXASKUNX0605, GACHASMACK
Thanks, I hate them. *Uses anyway*

Open ZZZ, claim rewards. Total of 30 pulls. Blitz them, result? 2 Pandas and a wasted 50/50 to Nekomiya. BRB, hanging myself with piano wire

Edit: Got Yixuan off a stray single

The current genshin coop event is so funny in a way i'm not sure i hate or love. It's one of those "everyone runs around grabbing coins and the winner got most" but in this case, the person with less coins become a Dino and their job is to straight up attack and throw bomb at other players so they lose coins.

We had pvp events before but i think this is the first time your goal is to actively go your way to kill other players??

Genhin 5.7
MasterSkirk0618 - YourSpaceTime - VoidStar0618
Phase 1: Skirk, Shene - Dahlia
Phase 2: Mavuika, Emilie

Archon quest, players get to see Dainsleif helping in combat.
Main event, free Sethos give-away. Combat is "team fight tactic/autochess" with Sumeru fungi. The more casual game mode, matching fruits.
Coop PvE game mode, not just kill mobs anymore, there are objectives to complete. There is Dire difficulty for even more challenge.

New permanent event (the new endgame thingy), Stygian Onslaught. The Dead Assault copy from ZZZ and every team starts at zero elemental energy. There is coop option, because being able to farm artifacts as reward by using resin. But the most important reward, Dust of Enlightenment, can be used to rerolled substats. As in, gambling to amount of enhancing times rolling into the substats again.
3 DoE can be obtained for free in Stygian Onslaught. Having paid battlepass gives one more DoE. Players can get 2 DoE for free in mailbox just by logging in version 5.7.

Beside her, there's Dottore confirmed to be leading Fatui in Nod-Krai.
Conveniently seeing supposedly Fatui base in Nod-Krai in background from somewhere in Liyue.

Seems the brief Skirk showcase clip where they zoom in on her thighs and books briefly has the leaks subreddit sperging out per usual. I clicked on one of the users who was talking like they were planning to quit in protest, and immediately saw a recent post where they collected literally every single chest in genshin. Just fascinating to see some people so obsessed with a game that makes them have a mental breakdown due to fanservice which is literally a pillar of gacha moneymaking.

Dainsleaf attacks with blue fire in the beta btw so people are already theorizing he's going to be standard pyro dps but blue, which sounds retarded but after skirk it's obvious. Very lame if true. I wonder if this is a prototype for characters who can be "summoned" from off field like a few in zzz.

I doubt that is Alice's final design because it's too simple and tame. No detached sleeves and cleavage in the current genshin economy? Impossible. Varka was also revealed and he turned out to be just be literally aventurine.

(Varka fans still in denial that he is a twink, me included)

>Highest difficulty doesn't have rewards on coop
>You can farm artifacts but it takes much longer cause you gotta tryhard and wait other players

What the fuck was the point then? This is just abyss with 3 different teams now. At least the artifact reroll sound nice assuming it's not ultra hard to obtain. Finally being a hoarder who refuses to throw away my wasted pieces might pay off, as i kept 99% of my level 20 pieces to this day.

Oh yeah, If anyone cares, if you retweet this tweet from genshin official page you have a chance (lets be honest) to obtain 10 rolls but only 50 winners. Hoyolab keeps linking me the brazilian twitter automatically.

They are stupid twitter slacktivists, not understanding that it's a chinese game that's going to appeal to chinks first, not stupid fucks on reddit.

That's why the stupid boycutts never work. That's why there's no nigress in Genshin...or any MHY game, and the darkies we do have are just recolored anime people.

But it is funny how they flip-flop with the game. Albeit mildly annoying because they have to make a big song and dance out of everything as if it matters. It does not.

Give it a few days, and they'll tell on themselves like they did when the Natlan boycott happened.

Also, I gotta take some of my comments about Etheria back. The resin cap is very low and it's very draining when you run out but can't do the other things because you need more resin to build your team properly.

It's also really hard to get premium pulls. Standard banner pulls? Nah, you're drowning in the things but preminum? Jesus fuck, 300 not-primos for one pull? Fuck me. I'm never gonna get Massaiah.

If I'm not mistaken, every character is in the standard banner. However LD characters have a lower rate than RBG.

I'm gonna have to reroll for the second time. Thank God this game has a skip button.

So you haven't had a chance to say hi to my Bloodborne OC?
i love bloodborne.webp
I'm not sorry. Bloodborne was the literal first thing on my mind when I saw this dude.

I don't know how I feel about ZZZ 2.0.
It's stuttering worse than ever, typos everywhere, freeroam map is boring, miasma shield is barely noticeable, bounty/crafting/shop management system like some Facebook game of old...

But I got Yixuan and her engine!

Some of us actually enjoy difficult content.
But this isn't even NEW difficult content. It's literally the same boss time attack but you start with no energy, the boss gimmick is upped to 11 and you need a third team.

Lava dragon with 200% resist instead of 150% before stun and slower charge? Overseer with 270% resist instead of 210% before cooling? Hydro tulpa but the mini tulpa has bigger gauge and gives 200% resist if absorbed (still oneshotted by cryo)?

What is the next version, Papilla with 100 hit shield and more resist? Geo golem but the shield is 2x bigger and more resist? Aeonblight but you need to snipe the wings 8 times instead of 2 (and more resist)? Is this literally the only way to make "difficult content" now?

It's not even "harder" because the boss and optimal team stays the same, it just made the character check more extreme and the first rotation garbage (fuck cyno). You didn't need a "new endgame" for this. You could just make the abyss version harder, which they already did anyway so what makes this unique?

At least theater, for all the hate it gets (me included), requires a completely different mindset to win which i respect. HSR endgames are hard but i like how different they are. One is AoE, one is boss, one is break focused. AS bosses get reworked too.

The idea of "you need 3 teams and the element check is stronger" sounds nice but current abyss already does that with every new boss. This new mode could be easy as hell, i find it an underwhelming addition anyway...

1749245423790.webp

>historically the lowest amount of rolls ever
>they removed one small event worth of gems (420~) for the new endgame mode
>new endgame only gives 450 gems every patch (not every month)

Abyss isn't a challenge if you are past a certain level of power in your account, IT needs buffer units. There's no permanent scaling high HP bosses to push out high damage team outputs against. Its highest difficulty is for accounts in vastly different positions then people who still struggle to clear abyss.
