Okay so time to spit my tinfoil hat theories regarding Rememento after scouring Namuwiki. I am of the impression that the global launch was actually a desperate attempt to prevent EOS.
I have already mentioned the bad PR in Korea regarding the CBT but hot damn I had no idea it was such a mess. Yikes on bikes.

So I'm not alone in my tinfoil hat musings. Which brings me to the revenue question, and it is nothing surprising.
So the game is just barely coming along, releasd at a horrible time and has been a giant fucking mess since day one, bleeding players and money month after month - even in Korea.
Indeed, no raw data is out, not even on Gacha revenue. I thought it was due to its freshness of the global release, but since I couldn't find anything for Korea, I wondered if it was because it was barely surviving. Turns out, it was barely surviving.
Also, I hope they fix the voice issue, or those Japanese players won't stick around. I hate to be so sadistic but I am fucking loving this dumpster fire.

In all honesty, had the devs been better at communcating and not been salty fucks about how Star Rail was their idea first and the CBT issue, I would probably have pitied the situaton they are in now. I certainly pity the people who don't get to make decisions, they just do what they are told.
But whoever was in charge of this mess sounds like a two-faced tard so there's something darkly amusing to watch this blow up in their face.

So new players used to be able to nab a free 5* but they cut that. They made it a lot more stingy which...to be fair is on par for a gacha game. But the issue seems to be with communication becuase Blackstorm seems allergic to good PR.On April 16, 2025, with the 1.3 version patch, the resources that users could previously obtain were drastically removed, effectively making the system worse.
The core issue is that the universal breakthrough tickets have disappeared. In Rememento, although characters have as many as 12 breakthrough levels, the game originally allowed players to regularly and through various means obtain universal breakthrough tickets. These tickets functioned similarly to universal resources like "Goddess Stones" in Princess Connect!. However, the developers, believing that having 12 breakthroughs gave players a negative impression, decided to reduce the cap to 5 breakthroughs. At the same time, they almost completely eliminated the sources for acquiring these universal breakthrough tickets.
Previously, players could earn:
All of these sources were removed. One of Rememento's strengths was that as long as you obtained the character, you could eventually max them out just by playing steadily. But now, unless you pull duplicates via gacha, it's essentially impossible to fully breakthrough a character.
- 1 ticket per week by playing 15 matches in the arena,
- 1 ticket every 3 weeks from the event shop,
- 2 tickets every 6 weeks if focusing solely on breakthrough tickets from the pass shop.
Another problem is that, under the excuse of a "shop renewal," they drastically reduced the number of summon tickets players can obtain. Previously:
Currently, they are giving out 30 limited summon tickets and 60 regular summon tickets through an event, but it’s unclear what will happen once the event ends.
- Players received 1 regular summon ticket every day — now it’s replaced with 10 Dawn Stones.
- The weekly limited summon ticket was completely removed.
- The 300 Dawn Stones given every 3 weeks were reduced to 100.
- The 10 regular summon tickets from the event shop were cut to 5.
- The 9 regular and 9 limited summon tickets from the pass were completely removed.
In addition to the resource issues, there are several other problems — notably, they suddenly blocked the 5★ character selection ticket that was originally offered to new players and only notified users after doing so.

BUT THEY DID FUCK ALL FOR THE GLOAL RELEASE. AAAAAH THEY CANNOT HELP BUT FUCK UP.Due to user-hostile patches such as the removal of breakthrough tickets and the drastic reduction in summon ticket availability, players have expressed their confusion and dissatisfaction across various communities. However, instead of reassuring users through communication like roadmaps, the developers have effectively shut their eyes and ears—merely posting a few patch notes about bug fixes and nothing more. As a result, a large number of users have left the game.
About a week later, on April 22, the company’s representative finally posted a notice. The explanation was that they deemed it impossible to sustain the game with the previous business model (BM), and therefore had no choice but to make these changes. However, unsurprisingly, a notice like this coming a full week after the incident only further enraged the community. What made matters worse was the fact that the generous resource distributions proudly showcased in the 100-day anniversary broadcast—less than a month earlier—had now been completely revoked.
It is suspected that the company is choosing to endure the backlash and loss of users for now, betting on the release of the global server and real-time PvP in the future.
Despite all this, about a month later, they added “Path of Glory” rewards to the PvP reward pool in the patch notes—leading to even more backlash.

So I'm not alone in my tinfoil hat musings. Which brings me to the revenue question, and it is nothing surprising.
Not a fat chance in hell with how terribly they communicate. I already dropped it, and I'm just following the drama. From the time of release, Rememento faced relatively little attention because it launched during a period when major updates for similar games and the release of several high-profile new titles were already anticipated.
To make matters worse, the open version was riddled with bugs, causing even the few players who did try the game to leave. (For more details, see Rememento: White Shadow – Controversies and Incidents.) Although the developers managed to fix critical bugs and post an apology and improvement plan within the first week, gaining some upward momentum, the game ultimately failed to break into the top 50 in sales rankings—resulting in a disastrous launch performance.
After this commercial failure in 2024, the game continued to decline. By early 2025, it had dropped out of the top 100 in revenue rankings, and by mid-January, it had fallen out of the top 200 entirely—effectively disappearing from the charts.
According to a developer note dated January 6, the Southeast Asia launch is planned for version 1.4, and the Japanese release for version 1.5, so attention is now on whether the game's commercial performance might turn around.
So the game is just barely coming along, releasd at a horrible time and has been a giant fucking mess since day one, bleeding players and money month after month - even in Korea.
