I've already seen youtube recommend me some random gachatubers talk shit about tribe nine, i doubt 99% of them played it, even a genshin tuber did a video about and it was more "the gacha industry is doomed man, too many games". None of these fuckers care, they'll just make their own propaganda like "lack of sexy waifus" or "it was japanese so it would die anyway".
>the impossible downfall
Oh no it's that guy again... He actually did play (or did he?) tribe nine and made a review video about it but i think he only played the first city.
In fact, i clicked his tribe nine video at random and instantly got another case of illiteracy.
("nothing to indicate break meter at all")
What do you mean "nothing at all", it literally flashes red and goes faster the closer it is to break. It's not perfect but it's there.
Going back to his new video
>There is now an option that lowers hitstop, meaning you can interrupt animations to dodge or counter
That's not what the word hitstop means. It means the game stops when you hit something. They should've made lower default tbh, the normal one slows it too much.
>Let me say other content creators who didnt play tribe nine are mischaracterizing the game
Actually true. The launch was terrible yes, but a bunch of gachatubers who didn't play are jumping on this to shit on it for their own reasons, i'm glad he's aware and he should've talked more about this.
>The issues were bad player retention and gacha inexperience
That's... fair. Like i said, the content was too slow and endgame too pointless, while the gacha turned too generous. He even mentions the battle pass being 10 dollars ("free" with 2 monthly passes lol) having 3 very good skins is insane to think about (and then you can get them free). He doesn't mention the director interviews that really highlight the inexperience..
Another thing he's right is that chapter 1 is HARD and only those who played will get that. Not ninja gaiden hard or whatever but it was hard enough to genuinely filter scrubs. I'd see many posts on the subreddit calling the S.H.A.R.K. boss impossible and i admit it IS a significant difficulty spike. You don't have your second passive and good gear yet so you're not bruteforcing.
I never died until shark went to kill me +10 times. It's not that hard but it's moveset is so frustrating and anxiety inducing. It has some simple melee attacks but then it summons water rings that drop on stage and will intentionally go under them to shoot at you, a homing bite that one shots and sets up mines that you need to make him eat or else you take unavoidable damage.
It's actually super easy if you knew what to counter and where to stand but if you don't know what you're doing you'd get molested. And this game doesn't even have a boss tutorial or tip unlike genshin (and genshin players don't read).
(this is after they give you the choice to make the fight easier)
The way they pushed the red elite bosses to optional and made endgame easier also alienated the hardcore fanbase and it still wasn't casual enough for casuals.
This video could talk more (like the director interviews) but what he says isn't wrong and doesn't sound like second hand doomerism. It's probably because the guy genuinely enjoyed the game and wishes it wasn't gacha. If it's his gameplay then i believe it because he has all limited banners meaning he DID return to the game to roll for them. The genshin and wuwa video feels like he was only making them out of obligation for views, which probably made him not care much.
In fact, i searched random BAD youtuber (saintomas) to make a comparison, and i heard people hate this dude. In this video he literally admits not playing and reacts to a different youtuber who player T9 for 30 minutes.
(dont give him views, its to get an idea)
This motherfucker does like 8 WuWa and 12 hoyo clickbait videos per day.
(Nightmare cancer rotation.)
This next guy (Stix) is apparently hated too and i can see why. He literally starts pretending to be a fan, then saying "i didn't play cause it's japanese so it was probably shit anyway and i heard the launch was bad" and reads the patch notes for 10 minutes and calling it a scam and "Good riddance".
He also fucking shits on hoyo nonstop and praises WuWa, i'm not sure he even plays the game and looks more like a reaction dramatuber. Do all WuWa tubers have no personality like this?
Psychie's video looks like a masterpeice by comparison. He should've talked more about the terrible launch and director interviews but he wasn't too positive or hyper negative and he's not spreading misinformation, it was allright.
Fucking instead of building pity to grind less, I should just hoard primos instead.
lol from my (own) experience "building pity" is code for gambling addiction, gotta learn to save bro.
