Star Rail I'm probably dropping again for a bit. Love Castorice and using her in endgame stuff, but I really can't be assed about the story for this place.

I'm just doing dailies in Star Rail and finishing building what characters I've got, but I haven't started the story and what I've read about it so far makes it seems like some horrifying confusing mess. Pretty sure the twist will be that everyone is already dead and it's just their memories trapped in some loop due to stellaron fuckery.

As for Genshin, I am pretty close to 100% finishing the game as of the current patch, just got a handful of story quests to go then I'll just wait until more content is added. While I enjoy the Genshin story and world quests my favorite bit is the exploration so that'll always have me coming back, except I hope the next area has less bullshit because I fucking hate the nightsoul bullshit and all the enemies that need Natlan characters to deal with it.

I don't think I'm gonna manage to get Acheron to E2. I'll try to get Anaxa.

ZZZ said no to Trigger, so Vivian is guaranteed. I'm forever cursed with Anby as my electric stunner. I might try to pull for Lighter because I don't care for Hugo. I doubt he'll be more powerful than Miyabi.

For Reverse, I think I'm gonna try to get Liang and maybe Portraits of Jiu. Whatever else will go towards Noire.

I'll prioritize Zani, maaaaaybe try for Phoebe. The rest, I'll try to get Ciaccona.

God bless the CN community for doing all the heavy lifting, if it wasn't for them sperging out at gacha companies, these games would be a lot worse . .

It was CN players who got Mihoyo of all companies to change a character's kit after he was already made due to massive outrage over cultural sensibilities ( Zhongli ) and iirc they were also the ones who rioted and got the fate points of the genshin weapon banner reduced to 1 after seeing Tectone lose an insane amount of money with not a single Homa to show for it .

They were also the ones who got GFL2 to change, I think — people make fun of the whole ' NTR incident ' but it wasn't just whatever perceived stuff with Daiyan was going on, but also the quality of the sequel, which has been rewritten ever since to be much more faithful to the original game and flow much better, especially when comparing the global release to how the CN version originally launched an year ago .

I hate JP players on the other hand, corps could enter their home and piss all over them and they'd just thank them for being oh so generous .. predatory gacha mechanics are so much more normalized there I assume, considering how scummy F/GO is, and the tons of other Japanese gachaslop that has and still exists .

I think it's because they were mad Zhongli wasn't stronger or strong enough to their liking as he's like the fucking national treasure of China to them.

They did however get furious when Neuvi got nerfed so they reversed it.

Yep, hence the ' cultural sensibilities ', Zhongli was the head of the mandatory ancient Chinese nation ingame and thus they were pretty pissed that a character with such cultural relevance ( they take this kinda stuff VERY seriously ) was a chump unit, which led to an outrage that actually made Mihoyo worry and rework him to make him stronger

To be fair, the nerf ruined Neuvillette would have inspired me to threaten to pipebomb the ceo. How do you make a character who's entire kit is charge attack, and then 2 or 3 patches later drastically reduce the amount of times it hits because some players were using only him to clear abyss.

Shit posting aside, yeah I don't know what they were thinking. Considering that some of the early 4* characters are really good, I can't help but wonder if they will stealth-nerf them or something.

I'm glad I risked pulling for Trigger beforehand and got her too, walked in on the patch with only 90 pulls. If only I hadn't wasted 70 pulls on Sanby who I'll never use. Trigger with Evelyn+Astra is fucking broken as fuck even without their Wengines. This makes up for losing Castorice's 50/50 to Blade at least.

Problem is if they give out something like a free limited 5 star (like all the leakers claimed) it sets a precedent that they HAVE to give 1 free limited 5-star every single Anni which means players will expect that every year or else they'll riot, and a free limited 5 star (especially if it's a female) is literally potential money flushed down the drain for Kuro. IMO they should've just given Changli or Carlotta's skin for free and not front-load Zani and Ciaccona's banners with 5 extra limited character banners (with no 100% rate up). Having that many banners running alongside the new limited characters just looks greedy as fuck, especially when they're not 100% rate up and you're only getting 30 pulls, that ain't enough to even 50.50 ONE character.

Realistically the best case outcome of all this outrage is we get Changli or Carlotta's skin for free. Which is good enough for me. I have enough pulls to guarantee Zani and Ciaconna anyway. so IDGAF, but imagine being a new player starting literally in the middle of the anniversary and walking in to 6 fucking banners and you get a measily 30+ pulls to use.

ZZZ's mayor is now Dainsleif convenient plot tool. Hooking Phaethon up to Yixuan, so at least the moving-away doesn't feel that bad. Still, Phaethon is the chosen one because special power. Yixuan is a new class type, yay have fun rolling new weapon type too.

Vivian gameplay is alright, can be played as on-field and off-field. Since this is ZZZ and not WuWa, any attack move in her floaty mode has i-frame, so a whole lot. She's already two-strikes "negative" from me, even pity-bait, I'll save for Hugo. Checklist for vampire ikemen, nothing to do with Twilight.

Hugo, idea of playing two stunners is something. You can press Ex-skill or Ult with Hugo just right before tiny bit of stunning enemies to maximize his Totalize damage gimmick. Typical off-field ATK playstyle like Zhu Yuan. Harumasa, Corin, etc...
I try a 2-stunners comp with Qingyi-Trigger-Harumasa, pretty fun for me and actually strong. Trigger is good enough as secondary stunner-pseudo support and also making Qingyi gameplay less carpal tunnel with mashing basic attack 3.

Vivian, she actually prepares "marriage paper" at the end....


EN voices, Koleda, Grace and Rina get replaced. Grace's VA voices Shenhe and Rina's VA voices Clorinde. Not like Shenhe and Clorinde have that much presence anyway.
Escoffie's JP voice actor is Satou Satomi. So Genshin is currently having 4 out of 5 K-On band members now. This Friday is new program and already teases Mondstadt casts.

I feel compelled to go for Vivian if only for the absolute lack of Ether characters available. I have Zhu Yuan but her burst-heavy nature has always led me to struggle to make her work, although having Qingyi now might help a fair bit. Either way, Vivian being focused on providing off field damage for other Anomaly units means she pairs perfectly with my Miyabi or Jane who are already probably my most invested DPS. Just kicking around team ideas, something like Vivian/Nicole/Miyabi might potentially slap. Nicole's DEF shred is something I continually sleep on but after running her with my Harumasa team I kinda realized how much it can actually speed up kill times, and to that regard her team-up passive can pretty much be totally ignored and she's still functional.

Played a tiny bit more, exploring around instead of going where I was supposed to. I climbed up the mountain in the first area and got my shit rocked by some fire monsters, that was kinda fun.

story's gonna grow on you over time. otherwise just treat it as a f2p BOTW with a new waifu every few weeks. there's also wuwa which might work for you better (beginning is more loredump in comparison tho). HSR if you prefer 4 waifus in a row or whatever ZZZ is these days. can't say much about the others.

What's wuwa?

Wuthering Waves. Others can explain it better than I can but it's another open world gacha game like Genshin but with far better utility for traversing the maps, AN ACTUAL SKIP BUTTON, more helpful systems for 100%-ing areas and a much faster combat system.

Its world design however is nothing like Genshin.

Yeah HSR is a bit stupid regarding that but in your interstella guide (?) where you can check for dailies, there are tutorials although they are a bit basic and AFAIK haven't upgraded with newer systems.

Uhhh well I don't play them but some kiwis here play Reverse 1999, Nikke and Snowbreak is also a thing but the community is bit of a mess and the content is dry.

There's also Girls Frontline and Azur Lane. Think Arknights released their action gacha not too long ago and Black Braxton released this month. Be warned, no PC client.

Edit: I'm most likely 100% alone in this but I miss tv mode. Maybe I'm too autistic to appreciate change or whatever but it feels kinda cumbersome to run around with some other character constantly up and down my ass.
