At this rate, I would not be surprised if a lot of them do get fired. It feels like every day now where more information comes out about the strike collective work refusal, coming straight from the horse's mouth no less. A part of me wonders if Joe Zieja, the voice of Wriothesley who made the union video, is in hot water right now. A lot of his answers were the typical, "Oh it depends, it's a case by case basis" but casually dropping that Mihoyo was never struck and that a lot of the actors are refusing to work on Genshin is a really bad look on the "striking" actors' part.
A vast majority of this wouldn't have happened if that small pool of VA's didn't go scorched earth on Kinich's new VA, and by extension the fans.
We're finally getting Mondstadt content, and the main characters aren't going to have English voices. Can't wait for Jean and Kaeya to be silent, but don't worry, Paimon will be there... shrieking like she always does... Yaaaaaaaaay.

My big cope is that Hoyoverse is just letting Corina mouth off on Bluesky so that they can build a strong case against her if/when they fire her. Her Bluesky (and her Xitter when she used it) is full of "Le Genshin fans bad, Hoyo bad" reposts. It's long gone now, but on the Vic thread, someone was talking about a Facebook comment someone made years ago about how crazy Corina was. Too bad it's lost to the sands of time, would've made for an interesting read.
 
Why tease a new Geo character at this point? And he's just a Chiori clone?

Speaking of ZZZ storytime, I finished Lighter's Agent Story. I am biased as shit but I liked it a lot.

It might also be because I really like Lighter. Fucking Ryu from Street Fighter if he was an SNK character.

And I got a kick out of that Beat 'em Up section that also reminded me of Oldboy. Good shit.
 
Not only is the special program featuring just the new VAs, but the cutscenes they're showing are using other languages. Genshin is really not giving a shit about their strike.
 
They solved the issue of being unable to sell Alice to chinkcels and asiatics due to NTR schizophrenia by making her a Big Dodoco. Cute.

Escoffier is voiced by Emily Cass (WuWa's Lumi). No she doesn't that heavy Scottish accent like Lumi. Ifa is voiced by Jonny Loquasto, comedian and wrestler announcer. Amerimutt VAs continue to get fcked.
Main event quest (free 4* bow) is festival sim-management in Fontaine. Ifa and Ororon deliver Natlan ingredients to Escoffier. Kinich is also here, something something Remuria artifact smuggling.

Albedo "causes" problem to Mondstadt - Windblume festival, so he's on trial. Varka first time talking (no physical appearance).
Dahlia is conveniently a friend with Venti. Venti "asks" Hexenzirkel for help because monsters have been increasing a lot.

PvP coin mode event with Natlan features.
Combat challenges is back, probably the hard one, since Platinum tier is there. Neat for testing non-owned characters.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, Genshin is collaborating with beauty brand Charlotte Tilbury for you nerds can be more faaaaaabbbbuuuulllooouuusssss and preeeeetttttyyyyy. Oh my gosh, limited edition too.

Edit: Seems like new Fatui enemies for Nod-Krai.

Varka JP sounds similar enough like Tomokazu Sugita. So that one (dead) user asking for Sugita dream may come true.
Dahlia JP voice actor is Kazutomi Yamamoto, actually have a few girly boys roles before. In gacha space, conveniently to be in the same cross-dressing idol group, Pop'N Star in I-Chu, with Venti - Kokoro Hanabusa, other is Momosuke Oikawa. Other prominent one, Touken Ranbu's Midare Toushirou.

Venti VA confirmed they are not voicing 5.6 content, so expect most other striking characters to be mute as well. The event will be a mixed bag, with Natlan characters being voiced. As far as the Fontaine crew go, it'll probably just be the new character, Furina and Neuvillette.

I expect the Mihoyo bean counters are already working out the cost to recast Paimon and how quickly they can do it, probably do the change over in 6.0 which gives them time to record the new lines and slowly work on replacing the old lines.

New Mondstadt Quest and weekly boss look dope.
Varesa in two special programs in a row. It’d be funny if they just kept her as a mainstay for all future special programs, or at least for the remaining 5.x ones.

Very curious to see if Wrio will be voiced in the event.
 
Which of the characters in the chronicled wish would you recommend as good in their role for someone who has none of them? I'm leaning towards Yae Miko, Yoimiya or Kaedehara Kazuha, but that is based on aesthetics and their part in the story and not gameplay.

gameplay wise Kazhuha is evergreen, Yae miko is pretty good for consistent off field electro application. Both are very comfy to play.

Yae Miko is pretty good at on-fielding, dropping her skill, and fucking off so someone else can react off of her electro output.
Kazuha is just in general a very good unit. He groups enemies together real well, and the way his kit works ensures that he fits very well with everyone.

I don't really know too much about how the others play.
