In terms of anniversary rewards, comparing to other lesser popular gacha. It's lackluster. But comparing to most big F2P games, it's normal.
Warframe gives few free cosmetics, new weapons (not necessarily meta) just for entire account level grind, maybe few extra upgraded items which can be got through playing games normally.
PoE anniversary, players get a "Thank you" message at most. There probably were some sale off in microtransaction shop.
Apex anniversaries used to be "New event" aka "new skins" can be crafted with free currencies. Then this year, nope, straight up $20 real money only. Other free cosmetics are just badges to show off on profiles.
Pretty much even big brand company games may do a sale on Steam for these anniversaries and "Thank you" too.
I know this unpopular opinion, that's why the whole in your face HSR bunch of sales doesn't horrify me.
By now, I hope more people less naive on "anniversary". I don't even mind in Genshin previous couple anniversaries.
It could be better, unfortunately it isn't. But if anyone wants to cope, WuWa was released on May 22, patch 2.3 ends before that, so coping hard on 2.4 or on Chinese complaints. From Bilibli, most complaints are "why focusing on new players and return players, not on long-time players?".
unleveled makes it kinda meh. would be much more useful to switch once you know the items isn't completely dogshit, otoh saves you from leveling more items first.
It's okay for me. Obviously, grinding echoes/artifacts is part of end game and making players play the game more.
But it seems that it doesn't matter whether it is 4-cost or 1-cost echo, it only consumes one modifier. While Genshin asks up to 3 or 4 elixirs for Goblet or Circlet. At least, Genshin has two-guaranteed rolls for ridiculous cost.
Considering I'm a freeloader, I'll take it.
