He literally doesn't owe you anything asshole.
Oh gee, nobody else would be listened to by the fandom? Gee, I wonder why that would be.

It's almost like you assholes started harassing him first and have shown absolutely no signs that you're going to stop... and are now expecting your critics to take a high road you never even considered.

All you had to do was direct your anger at the ones who recast him, rather than the VA himself and you wouldn't be dealing with this mess. But apparently part of "union culture" is self-entitled public bullying, so get fucked with an anchor. Don't start a fight you're not ready to finish.

The whole "VA referring to themselves as the character" is some crazy shit. These guys clearly hate the material they're voicing and the fandom, yet they LARP as the character.

So, if I’m getting this right, we were sold the lie that voice actors are these brave heroes fighting to avoid being replaced by AI. But in reality, their union’s just trying to form an exclusive clique, and Hoyoverse told them to fuck off? Sounds about right.

Wild that Reddit didn’t take the bait and actually sided against them—color me shocked.

Gotta say, the VAs behind Hu Tao, Yae Miko, Furina, Zhongli, Itto, Venti, and Capitano are the only ones who went above and beyond—it’d genuinely suck to lose them (and yeah, these are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head, before the pitchforks come out). As for the rest? I’m probably missing some gems, but most feel replaceable in comparison. To be fair most did a perfectly serviceable job, but hardly anyone stands out as "irreplaceable".

Finished the WuWa main quest. I really liked the expanded lore behind the legend of the Blessed Maiden. Now I'm interested in how Cartethytia's kit will work if she gets released Cantarella's companion quest is next up

Update: finished Cantarella's companion quest. Kuro really made sure she was wife material(it worked, sorry Carlotta)

This caught my attention from Little Kuribo bring it up nonstop on my feed. So many messages from him basically edging over trying to get that actor to confess that he knew a strike was going on. Like a good cop in an interrogation room telling a suspect that it's okay if they threw their baby in a dumpster, no one is mad, they're not in any trouble. Only to scream that he's a liar every time he says no, all the while his friends constantly lash out at the guy as the bad cop part of the routine.

I don't know what it is they expect to get out of this. Do they think if they can get him to crack it will make their fans stop thinking they are terrible people? What is Kuribo's endgame here? It's honestly uncomfortable to see so many adults behave this way so publicly. I would expect to see them act like professionals but it isn't dissimilar to the conversations you would hear in a highschool. Is this the Sag-Aftra mark of quality assurance?

I would ask this in the Little Kuribo topic but there doesn't appear to be one. Surprising.

Worst thing is, Little Kuriboh is neither a voice actor (he failed to professionally become one), which by proxy not makes him a part of SAG-AFTRA to begin with.

It's literally attention-whoring.

In my case, Genshin did. The entire opening scene was in English for me and I changed that shit ASAP.

ZZZ, HSR and WuWa spared me that torture thankfully. The English was already installed but at least I could change it before starting.

Speaking of HSR, finished the latest story quest and it was alright.

Now that I've seen Tribios, damn I really wanted more of her. In truth Tribbie herself actually really grew on me. Had no idea they'd kill one of them off. Mydeis story was alright. He got the douche king slouching down cold.

Anaxas being that Asshole smart guy was a little disappointing but I digress.

Now I look forward to Cas story time because she's great. Shit I'll bite the bullet and get her despite her busted ass overreaching passive.

It really doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. 0-cycle sustainless comps won't proc it, all other comps will just toss a heal unless someone else gets the "fuck THAT guy in particular" debuff(or is named Tingyun)
It's not the actual effect, but what we can expect to come. We were discussing this some pages ago.

Wow, the chinks being reasonable.
They tend to be pretty reasonable unless the government gets involved. I remember back when corona first happened they were shitposting about the lab leak and wet market before the US was. DOn't want to delve into talk about that stuff again lmao but genshin probably hit at just the right time to become a global success kind of due to being a f2p game that came out when people were globally getting kind of fucked financally and schedulng wise.

Not DIRECTLY tied to the game, but I found out recently that they have an official amazon store for the merch which is nice because they have some of those blind box figures every other seller was scalping bootlegs of the last 5 years...
I also found out that there was an entire KFC promo last year that had slightly higher budget looking happy meal-esque toys of the sea slug homunculuses born from the corpse of an artificially created dragon

Would not pay the prices some people want for these but if you can find them for cheap and you like how these characters look these are probably the closest you're gonna get to the in-game appearance of them without blowing money out your ass.
I wonder if any of the voiced ones of these style of npcs got muted. Noticed mostly it's just the background npcs that are the voiced ones in the actual voiced game cutscenes ever since most of the cast got muted and my thought immediately was "why don't they just get those guys to try dong sound-alike voices until the other people can voce the characters again" because that used to be common practice, but I guess sagfags don't allow that in the contract.

In non VA Genshin news, the moon teaser site just got updated, looks like 6.0 is going to be a large multi faction brawl over something hidden in the area.
I like how most of the factions are exclusive to the limited events. Fuck anybody joining late, this next patch is going to make less sense than usual.
