There is an irony lost by those involved here of mention of "puts food on the table" and money while voicing a stingy money and food loving inexplicably floating midget as your most current popular VA job.

Just cut out california and california colony oligarchy zones and hire people. Traveler's still muted for some reason several updates in I can voice him haphazardly on the fly and have been doing long enough since he first got muted that I'm pretty much the unofficial VA of my own playthrough now. Could kill 2 or 3 birds with one stone by using the anomaly that is my vocals coming out sounding not like a man when the vowels get jammed into any modern tts vocals generator.
Last year I rigged up some character ai chatbot abomination wth that.

Other VAs are chimping out right now because they realize their days are now numbered because Hoyo has now firmly signaled their intention to go all in on non US VAs going forward, and if existing talent don't get back to work then they will be replaced and most fans don't give a shit because SAG has done a dogshit job with the strike.

Paimon's voice actor is a special kind of retarded cause she actively pushes the idea of paimon being non binary and somehow twists the dialogue itself. In portuguese i read her using female pronouns but the english dub doesn't. It's also funny how she has the most influence against hoyo due to paimon's sheer amount of lines but she wants the money too much.

Hoyo has picked and nurtured some of the most entitled mediocre VAs and they would go on to keep hiring each other cause california industry is so "incestuous". I hope more of the bad ones leave tbh.

And creeps. Tortellinis original va was outed as a groomer. Also HSR Moze's VA was another PR disaster.

God I hate the American va industry so much and I used to love it so because of the old legends.
 
The VA chimpout continues, may it bring you continuing gatcha luck. So the VA for one of the worst 4* characters in Genshin, Candice, decided to go full retard on bluesky, cursing out Hoyo because they dared to cast someone not from the US to voice an EN character.

I expect her to be recast very quickly, as she's a fairly minor character. Also one of her fellow niggers who voiced an npc in Genshin is bitching about not casting enough faggots and niggers in general (a) but I'm not bothering to screenshot that shit.

There are a bunch of more talented, more professional, and more stable people INSIDE North America. That's the crazy part - there's plenty of native English speaking VA talent floating around inside the country already. They just don't belong to the union or live in California.
 
No matter how you feel about those VAs, Hoyo is genuinely in the wrong here.

I mean, imagine how much funnier the whole situation would have been if they actually replaced those mongoloids with AI instead of just hiring non-FAG-ASTRA actors. Can't believe they'd waste an opportunity like this.
 
I would just like to remind everyone that the last time these retarded VAs striked, not only did it sustain for barely half a year, it also backfired so hard that it nearly made the Vidya VAs get paid even less than they were before, which was honestly deserved for how uppity (Jewish, no seriously, they demanded royalties on game sales for their barely half a day of work) they were getting.

I barely remember this shit, & it's not even the full story of what I still remember.

It's like they never realise that they aren't even big enough to worth a strike. Hell, this isn't even talking about mainstream (Troy Baker could join in, & it still won't be worth shit) or AI ethics. Fucking Hollywood writer's strike happened 2 years ago & they got laughed out till the next year because they sucked.

The english cast is essentially holding the eng dub hostage because Hoyoverse does not want to sign up with their shady union.

TLDR; Non-union workers need to sign a clause which only applies three times before they are forced to join SAG-AFTRA, which would give them a monopoly on the industry and make work much harder to find for voice actors outside of the union. In other words, they want to make the english voice acting scene even more clique-ish than it already is.

This kind of bullshit is precisely why a lot of people dislike Unions. It isn't just a Republican dislike of them. A lot of Lefties hate them due to the gatekeeping they do.
