I'm gonna do a little tangent of my own:
Honestly I'm glad LaDS is selling well, as someone who plays both kinds of games the main difference is the emotional investment and marketing. And fuck yeah for them telling fujos to not post gay shit on official social media tags. It's really fucking difficult in this year to find anime/2D adjacent media targeted at women where the fandom isn't turning everyone into crying gay babies.
But anyway, the reason why I think the normalfag audience loves to shit on coomer games like Azur Lane, Brown Dust 2 and Nikke is because the main focus is THE MEAT. Breasts, asses, thighs in bizarre outfits and in silly proportions (Yes, I also think the lads guys look silly kpop bug eyed). Yeah, you get some tearjerker stories like Cinderella and Rapi's recent events but they're kinda surface level and limited by the nature of the game (cue image of Cinderella crying while her big uncovered boobs take up the bottom part of the screen). The female audience games have fanservice that is less straight up fetish oriented (compare your video examples vs Brown Dust 2)
Now the interesting thing: LaDS is actually crazy manipulative and I think that's a point that male audience gacha games haven't tapped into yet.
The characters ask you about your day and comfort you, there's an emphasis on emotional closeness and sweet PoV moments. With the current amount of single men in Asia you could easily advertise a hostess type game where a hot character is not just there for fanservice but also for comforting the player, you can blatantly see the love for that type of idea in "waifu" communities where nerds get so attached to a character even without the romantic content.
Anyway, thanks for coming to my gacha TED talk, I personally recommend Arknights, R1999 and Limbus Company.

Unlike Clorinde, at least I can see where this is coming from. There is SOMETHING to stretch.
They do separate apps for that shit. I've seen ads for a few, where an AI girl replies to you. Never tried one, and personally don't approve.

A lot of the first characters from HSR look like they were directly influenced if not ripped straight from Honkai Impact 3rd. In this case, directly ripped from with some tweaks to appearance and place in story.
In that game they're something like adopted sisters. But since it's Impact 3rd that gets thrown out the window for the lesbian shipping autism in that fandom.

In less irritating news, I've now met story Furina and she's really delightful as a character. Time to pull double duty for her and Wrio because I'm weird.
Also am ready to give up on the Chronicled Wish. Sorry, Xiao and Childe and Ganyu and Shenhe. I'll wait a blue moon or fifteen for your reruns.
Next time MHY better not out the Chronicled Wish right on top of other limited banners.

Careful, both Furina and Wriothesley work optimally on C2 and C1 respectively, assuming you're concerned about performance.
Mihoyo has purposefully gimped character kits and added features that suspiciously seem ripped out of the base kit, although they have ramped this up ever since Fontaine.
Take Furina for example, her kit involves healing/taking damage during her ult, which builds up stacks for a powerful buff. She's good enough at one copy, but you'd need a powerful team-wide healer like Jean to efficiently build her stacks to the maximum amount before her ult expires, and it can be a pain sometimes. Her C1 and C2 however, increase the total stacks and make them ramp up faster respectively, thus baiting you if you don't happen to have a good healer.
As for Wriothesley, one of his talents is kinda useless unless you have his C1, I'm not sure since it's been a while since I saw it. Neuvillette and Hu Tao also have the same thing, with the most egregious being Chiori, where she's extremely mediocre and purposefully doesn't synergize with teams like Navia without her C1 removing her arbitrary restrictions.

they have a story connection with chlorinde killing navia's father in a duel, some people take the following emotional interactions and twist as a justification to ship them. not that they need one really.
don't think it will work on males that well compared, and they probably already tried that. the sexes are just wired too differently imo.
sure there are waifufags going off the deep end, but they're not looking for the "attention" a game like LaD gives women on a much broader spectrum. in general there's a stigma where males spending thousands on an escort or even falling in love with her are considered retarded, whereas women tipping hard in some butler cafe are just considered "fans" asf.
people whining about sexy designs are not much different from fujos really, at least fujos are happy at some point and usually stick to their corner, while the former is half grift/half attentionwhoring. there's a reason sex sells and always has, most mainstream casuals enjoy cheesecake (but like everything moderation is key).
there's also a lot of current year shit involved, where dudes can still run around shirtless for women to flick their bean to, but woman in western media need to be average and "identifiable" to the point you get fat fashion models and shit. if you want something else you're an incel that should "just watch porn". "gooning" or anything "coomer" is just an over-reaction really, 20 years ago no one would've given a fuck, but with all the idpol shit and listening to fringe groups on social media it's suddenly a "thing" to be outraged about (which in turn only makes others go in harder in shitposting and unironically).
heterosexuality often means you're a cuck if your waifu hooks up with another dude, to the point even having a male in your game riles people up. asians for some reason are super sensitive about it, just look at the korean hand thing, instead of laughing it off and turning it around they got super butthurt thus making it worse.
yuri is ok because it's another woman and it's much easier to headcanon they can dick her straight later. don't ask me why, but I think even islam treats gay and lesbian differently, it just one of these things that are what they are I guess.
however most people outside the extreme can emphasize with a good (love) story no matter who or what, even with all the pandering in wuwa (necessary evil, everyone has a different waifu but they all have to be for you as MC, which as a whole makes it look more like a harem).
thread tax: roccia cleaned me out after losing the coinflip to calculator (again). was about to save till changli (zani is apparently dedicated phoebe support, and I already got jihnsi as spectro dps), but then remembered hard saving is worse than slowly building pity with a few rolls here and there and maybe getting lucky.
also collecting stuff in chengyu vale for lan yan really drove home how different natlan is. I don't even hate it and can appreciate hoyo tried something new instead of going with the usual tropes, but the atmosphere really is different. same with wuwa 2.0 which was a lot more fun to explore and made me eager go keep playing.

two 4* in 10 rolls isn't that bad tho.
it can always be worse, I only got 1 yuanwu in 100+ rolls.

Got C1 on Arle. She doesn’t really need it - as long as you stack Attack on her, maybe pair her with a Shielder to make up for her only being able to Heal by using her Burst, she can wreck face against most anything not immune to Pyro.
Hopefully I get lucky and get C2 before she rotates out - next patch looks shit enough that it’ll legit be the first patch I don’t roll for the new character, and I view this game as a character collector more than anything else. Guess that’s a downside of them trying not to step on too many toes regarding Genshin’s Power Creep…

I feel the same way. If I knew Anby was coming, I wouldn't have build Harumasa and continued to use Anton until she came along.
RE1999: I suck at the moth thing. I guess the idea is to chip away at the shields and then nuke with your substitutes. Probably go with a follow-up team and your strongest Ults once the shields are down.

I fear later 5.x will be stacked, skirk alone will make people open their wallet, on top of 2-3 other chars that were teased and a possible fatui (mavuika still has her gnosis).
and the next wuwa patches will be even worse, cantarella, carthethyia (rumored to be double element) and phrolova... not counting zani which JPs seem to go apeshit over

Ah yes, his "health must be between 60 and 70 percent but his health drain drags him down to 50 and his heal brings him back to 80" gimmick. Not frustrating at all to almost never trigger both of his talents.

Starting to rebuild my Genshin primo hoard again after burning most of it this patch. I'd like to get Arle as well, but the problem is I have so many characters I just don't use that I don't want to add one more to the pile. Lantern Rite finally got me to get off my ass and finish building Hu Tao so I have a decent 5* pyro that isn't Mavuika. (I've got Yoimiya built but she lives in the bow squad team permanently)

For anyone wanting to pull future characters in WuWa, do note that leaks allegedly claim that Zani is heavily dependent on Phoebe, and Phrolova on Cantarella (dedicated supports). Plan accordingly!and the next wuwa patches will be even worse, cantarella, carthethyia (rumored to be double element) and phrolova... not counting zani which JPs seem to go apeshit over
Skirk is definitely gonna be the newest 'must pull' waifu bait after Mavuika, can't wait for all the overworld bosses to die three times faster only if you're using her
