Shenhe is a fun character both in-universe and kit wise if you like cryo units and she can enable mono-cryo. I dunno if I see her ending up on the standard banner because she is so niche and cryo as an element is in a weird place where its most prominent reaction, Freeze, has become irrelevant in higher end content by putting more bosses and unfreezable enemies into the game. Shenhe does help by making up for the lack of freeze to some degree by offering more damage.

What's funny is that both HSR and ZZZ allow freeze to function as intended on most enemies including bosses.

iirc tao was hyped for being the first OP pyro dps, mondstadt batman was a standard banner char thus very elusive (unless you wanted to whale) and can't remember if he was already outclassed by klee at that point even if she was clunky.
also same VA as takagi-san among other favorites EXPLOSION, hoyo really knew how to pick their japanese VAs. just check who voiced fischl.
so it was more about the stats, camellya is all looks (and probably powerful as well, there's no other havoc 5* besides rover yet).

ning was one of the first chars, their design/powerlevel/everything were all over the place. however ning wasn't that bad in the beginning, and 4* are easier to get depending on your luck (possibly every 10 rolls at least for example), so it wasn't that bad. dehya getting gimped hard and then dumped in standard was a much bigger fuck you to a hyped favorite.

similar to wuwa, those are all "old" characters that just release now. new ones will be designed with the current status quo and experience. apparently there's also 2.0 coming after 1.4 (I assume that's the playstation launch), who knows what they cook up for that inb4 another male.

I don't play snowbreak (using fucking edge as a launcher is so fucking 2005, might as well install internet explorer 6 again) so don't know how it affected the game or all the details, apparently after messing with snowbreak he/she started to write for wuwa, which went as people know. it might be execution again, iirc in a game collecting waifus and building an implied harem, if you divert from that or give the wrong allusions (like hooking up with another male that's not the MC or even another male char) causes quite among of butthurt (I think the girl's frontline sequel is getting shit for it right now).

numbers dropped hard, to save it I've heard they went all in on fanservice, seems to work somewhat getting it at least talked about.

Best the game gave me was Danjin. Think I triggered the Monkey's Paw twice when I pulled Burnice and Xilonen. Even R1999 fucked my 50/50 with Ezra(little shit essentially guaranteed I'm missing Kakania)

Worst part is I had him on the Selector banner, which he dodged. There was also his rate-up banner, which he dodged also. Little bastard ruined my plan of using the Anniversary item to get him. At least I can look forward to the first round of 2.x characters

Honestly it's not that bad, it's probably based on most recent abyss pick rates that people post on reddit, the main outlier there is Wrio/clorinde (good but were never that popular) and xinqiu being kinda low.

As someone who started Snowbreak back on release week (kinda bizarre to me in hindsight) and watched it goonify in real time, the game was kinda dead on arrival and it was the jump to horny bait and extreme chinese pandering that saved the game. Devs would legit retcon the entire game story the entire story, remove male logistics (equipment) and morph the self insert protag into an overpowered harem protagonist. I heard rumors that one of those writers went to work on wuwa beta but WuWa writing apparently had/has much bigger issues, especially the intro.

Fun fact: There was a recent "controversy" in snowbreak because chinese fans whined about one of the cosplayers they hired for a con being allegedly a feminist (probably liked a "problematic" tweet once) and the devs promised to not work with cosplayers again, at least without doing a history checkup. Really makes you realize how all gacha fandoms are messed up, especially the chinas.

Just dropping by but this is somewhat tangentially related since Honkai Impact 3rd was HEAVILY lesbian-oriented. Of course, Mihoyo at the time, perhaps pressured by the CCP, retconned the entire story, I remember this because I still know a time where Bronya and Kiana were an official lesbo couple (among others).

When Wanderer was announced as playable, I heard nasty rumors that CN GI players, particularly women, killed their cats over the announcement. That one from Snowbreak is childs play compared to the shit I hear from the GI CN playerbase.

Why the fuck would they do that? Don't they normally go crazy for cool edgy guys in games?Or was this like tied to the "leak" of him having amnesia as a plotline thing before it was revealed he gets his memory back anyways?

It's men, not women. Wanderer has in game fairy tale depicting him as a cat, so it's Chinese incels that are upset over it. I've talked about the entire thing on this thread.
There are loads of Wanderer as cat merchandise selling at convention or fan arts on social media.
Like it's so easy just to google "Chinese Genshin killing cats" and you can find the original post to look for proper information.

Not mention here, like few months ago, HSR writer Shaoji was doxed along with assumingly his girlfriend. The narrative was Shaoji being really doting on his girlfriend, so entire Firefly was design based on her. According to the dox photos, Firefly colour, other evidence like "3 suicide attempts", etc... But with follow up, all was just made to spite the game and MHY. I'm not sure the whatever anti-LGBT in there was part of it or just reddit.
If anything, it just makes anytime Western social media screaming "death threats" being a nothing burger. There probably more people died to swatting than death threats.

Surely doing a strike helps these people in EN industry a lot and truly proving a superior gaming experience from EN audio.
From the main event in Sumeru, there are few Genshin around Sumeru city for interaction. It's Sumeru, so Nahida mind reading works.
Nilou - Grand Bazar, Layla - coffee shop on upper right of Catherine, Wanderer - left side of Akademiya main entrance (don't go inside Akademiya).

Y’know, it was hilarious in a roundabout way during this patches Archon Quest, where both Kachina and Kinich were just completely muted, now it’s just sad. All because - checks notes - there’s no black characters, when clearly the blackest character exists as an NPC in Pascal.

Welp, guess I’m finally switching to JP Audio. The silence throws me off WAY too much.

E - Fuck. Should’ve switched way earlier, the JP voices are throwing me off even MORE. Welp, headphones and treating this like one of the Muted Events it is.

As for her gameplay, she's fun and she's a break character like my busted Feixiao so I will probably put time and resources into developing her.

There's no monkeys in her ultimate whatsoever. She's like a cyberpunk VR Naruto fan rather.

Anyway, time for Dan Heng the 2nd and watch my luck run out. At least new Es for Xueyi.

It's about Sag Aftra strike against Western AAA video game companies (protection against AI) this year and studio handles Genshin EN dub, Fomosa, is part of it. Other MHY games don't get affected while Genshin has to deal with this, because they have different studios.

But imo, these EN voice actors are lazy and taking excuses. If some NPCs are voiced normally in game, meanwhile playable characters don't. They need to check their ego. I mean as in they latch on voice of X in Genshin in their twitter profile and Genshin is world wide well known brand now. It's not like they are in deep trouble of no income, they still work on other stuffs and active on social media.
Like Sucrose EN, beside her whatever culture war bitching, recently casts as Akane in Ranma 1/2 remaster. So no, none of these self-absorbed theatre kids will or should deserved respect, even from their so called EN audio fans.
