Why the fuck would they do that? Don't they normally go crazy for cool edgy guys in games?Or was this like tied to the "leak" of him having amnesia as a plotline thing before it was revealed he gets his memory back anyways?
Chinese and Korean incels are truly something else. In China you have killing cats, because they don't like the fact that women like Wanderer and they think that he is ''stealing Nahida from them'' and in South Korea you have men going batshit insane over Lyney, because ''they gib me no waifu characters'' and also the infamous baloon. Japanese fans seem the most chill out of the big three. Imagine if there was a massive outrage in Japan, because women like Oberon from FGO or other bishy boy.
new (old) wuwa banner, but checking the shop out of curiosity I noticed there's a single item for the new ice brat... which is confusing, since usually the shop allows you to buy resonance sequences (=constellations) up to two times for characters you already own, but that item was 20% off and only 1/1. it was also gone after I grabbed it.
if that is what I think it is, that means you can get a new 4* without having to roll (or at least have rolled enough times in the past and saved the currency), so no danger to get the 5* by accident, not getting fucked by RNG... this is huge! and since you can buy resonances as well just wait till it's on a banner again to grab those. now when I compare that to the 4* in genshin's current banner...
not sure if you can still buy it for a cheaper resonance if you already got it from the banner before (as in rolled before checking the shop), someone else might have to check it. would be ass if it requires a certain order, otherwise a cheaper resonance on sale during the banner is nice to have.
didn't hear about it before or missed the news, so word of advice for any collectors out there.
oh, btw I also noticed you can buy exp-items for pity currency, which is also very nice, since that's usually gated behind your daily stamina and events. I hardly buy anything in genshin's shop because it's mostly stuff I can either farm without spending resin or already sit on loads.

japan has porn. worst korea doesn't legally, and china is only allowed what the CCP doesn't consider subversive (probably not much until you're high enough and can have your own mistress/sexslave).
just like the prohibition you want to have the population some spank material so they can be more chill. might also prevent weird feminist cults if they can go full fujo...
The fuck is a chronicled wish? Is that some made up shit where they give you access to a banner once per millennia where pity doesn't transfer to the next banner? Like a banner designed to give access to lower power, lower demand characters that rarely get reruns, but handled so fucking poorly that it's been practically memory hole'd?
pity does transfer, it's basically a third event banner. apparently not, lol: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Chronicled_Wish
it's not memory holed, it's just there was only one so far and covering only mondstadt characters. however standard banner chars included, so very unlucky people could finally graduate from being a monalet. it's likely they gonna repeat that with a liyue version for qiqi and shenhe, however since there are 6 chars on it, I don't think liyue alone has enough low-profit chars yet. they'll probably combine it with inazuma.
the featured chars need to have at least 3 banners and can't be recent, which further limits how often it can happen.
added bonus you can also pick their weapons if you finally want a homa or sth.
I also got so spoiled by wuwa I completely forgot that banner still has a 50% chance you have to pick (you can choose either a char and weapon, and losing the coinflip will either give you another char or weapon respectively).

Grab a bunch of low power/low desire characters, throw them onto a choice banner. If the devs want to be assholes, make it so you can still lose 50/50.
Chronicled wish accepts blue fates so you don't need to worry about saving for an upcoming character (Optional).
Make the chronicled banner last 1/2 versions, not 1 phase.
When it ends, start a new one.
If you cram it with enough low power/low desire characters, you can effectively have it run constantly and not worry about it impacting the limited banners. Bonus points in that you no longer need to worry that you're throwing up a shitty limited banner nobody wants because the characters are Albedo/Eula/Tartaglia/etc. We already have this with the launch 4* characters available twice per year in the shop. Chronicled wish should work similarly.
It's one way to get a new 4* without rng gacha. But 80 glowy corals requirement equals 10 limited banner pulls. TL; DR: it takes a while for certain amount of dupes to get there.
To get 80 of them, you either need a total 10 dupes of an already C6 4* characters, Not C6 yet only gives 3 corals, same as 4* weapons. 15 glowy corals for 5* dupes before fully C6, only 40 after C6.
But...... that thing stays in the shop for two patches, it is really something, FOMO isn't that bad.
Take this another Genshin could never, many things in this game I find very neat, beside previously mentioned (skip button, infinite stamina sprinting, etc...)
First, render "blinking" distance for overworld materials. Wuwa is much further away.
Second, this is recently added in both games. Wuwa shows exact location, meanwhile Genshin doesn't.
Third, no 3-day routine time gated. Whether it's character ascension or talents/skills.
Another thing, Genshin leveling up materials are very bloated in hindsight now.
New regions mean new domains for region specific weapons, character talents. Wuwa, character and their specific weapon type, just go farm in their specific one (not two) domain/forgery challenge. Albeit, it probably takes longer/more stamina/more resources to max out talents/skills in Wuwa. No requires for such thing equivalent to Genshin's crown though. Unfortunately, weekly bosses are more limited, only exactly 3 times per week.
Forth, echo/artifact/relics, farming echo can be eye-rolling horrible rng. Echo also uses two different type of resources, one for level up, one for adding sub-stats, there is even min-max rolls. BUT, players can actually farm for 3 or 4 cost echo drop (circlet or goblet slot) without relying on daily energy cost, I think it's enough to make a huge benefit.
Though, there is no such system to reroll for exact echo with specific main stat. This is severely lacking behind big 3 MHY games.
Tacet field farming is required for echo material leveling up and the resource to roll for sub-stat. So I have no idea how people dismissing farming tacet field, probably early game version old opinions. You can't even convert trash echos into leveling exp anyways. I feel Wuwa is much more limited on materials to max out multiple echos.
Wuwa bad, not to make this post like shilling/gloating similar to youtube CC.
1.3 story feels condensed but really rushed at the end. So being vaguely with Tethys fixing and Abby being the fix.
Visual clutters from both character skills and maybe even newer bosses skills, I feel like these are enough to "Oh I miss that, now I'm almost dead". I have zero idea what I'm doing first time using Jinhsi against Jue.
Combat limited time events are made for max levels character instead. So only like players have been playing for a while can get all rewards. Not me though, only Union level 47 (2-3 weeks playing). Must have UL 60 to get max level.
Notable NPCs must finish their entire long audio dialogue even if you already click on different option. Similar things with clicking through playable characters in their loadout screens.
Still need to progress main story for couple-few bosses to unlock, rather than automatically unlocking for you. More or less, I kinda wanna to see how Kuro does with new region characters for new overworld and enemies material farm.
Game auto target system jank, more noticeable on range characters I think? Playing Chixia, girly, stop activating your "Wuxia bullshit instinct" shoot random target behind you not on screen or some random far away and not the one right next to you. Then again, she's the "cutest".
Bunch of slopes, so her sliding shot bullets get blocked by un-even ground.
Game is fine, a decent side-grade to Genshin with much less content (obviously). People may say game isn't as much memorable or immersive to Genshin, but I'd say it has some charms to it after playing through story and exploration quests.
Although, players need a PhD in reading skill to learn how to play a character. Understanding Forte Circuit/building "frequency bar" in combat is how to play, not just press skill and ult.
5* character story quests feel much better focusing at 5* characters themselves than most of Genshin quests do.
I wouldn't worry too much about the 4*. You'll probably end up getting her by just rolling.
Some characters have issues when attacking. Jihnsi's full skill can miss completely if she isn't positioned right. Some bosses can punish you really badly if you can't manage to dodge on time, but trying to dodge is difficult in itself since they're either really fast or their attacks are too cluttered (too much VFX) to see.
Their targeting system used to be worse in the earlier days and it's somewhat better now, but it's still very janky at times.
Some events let you use trial resonators. I wish they did that more often. It gives lower players a chance to get full rewards.
I'll give credit to Kuro. This game is like what, 5-6 months old? And they have managed to give it improvements that take other games longer to implement. They do screw up stuff from time to time though.
Couple that with the fact that a lot of times a material ends up being used by so few characters it's kind of a waste to have them added (Inazuma's pearls and beetles). They also do this with bosses, they went through the trouble of adding the Cryo cube and to this day Eula is the only one that needs materials from it. Aloy does too apparently but her distribution was so limited she doesn't count.

Hoyo choosing boss materials for each character is sometimes that stock image with a guy playing darts while not looking at the board. Like what do you mean that Shenhe needs materials from these Enkanomiya fishes? She's not even related to Inazuma. Same with Sethos and Kirara. There is straight up Electro flower in Sumeru and yet they choose Chenyu Vale for him.
It's even weirder because Gaming, the character released at the same time as Chenyu Vale, needs the Iron Crab from Fontaine instead of the new boss in Chenyu Vale. Like I get they're trying to make the elements of the material match the character's element, but they forget to do that sometimes as well. The Hydro Dragon Neuvillette needs mats from an electric seahorse.
That aside, I found myself falling down the rabbit hole of counting my rolls because I really do want Dragon Heng for no particular reason. Should be at 70 pulls now so soft pity soon I guess.
Then get fucked over by my horrible luck so I end up grinding another long number of pulls.
Oh well. I think I lost my shame when some unavailable character made me play Genshin. Speaking of, this is probably an unpopular opinion but the Archon quest feels really dragging.
I think the only part of the Inazuma archon quest that was good was the VERY end where you confront Raiden Shogun. Up until then it was just wasting time and pretending to be attached to an NPC I was just introduced to that looks like every other NPC introduced that version.

The cleansing of the Sakura tree and breaking the seals was actually good. I really liked Hanachirusato and her story as well.
And the segment with the ghost mikos at the shrine did well in freaking me out. Not helping was the Fatal Frame homage with the statues.
So you can imagine how I felt about the ending to that world quest. Shit really tugged at my heartstrings.
Which is a first for Genshin. And that includes that commission where you pass letters around for some kid, only to find out that said kid's dad is dead and no one has the heart to tell him because he's just a kid.
For the honor of Hanachirusato, her mask is now my in-game avatar. Rest in cherry blossoms.

This region was added to the world later, but this song still gives me the feels:
It was a very sad story.
Also, I don't know if we can consider Enkanomiya part of Inazuma, but I loved exploring that region for the first time. I miss it to this day.
I remember reading rumors that the writing team was gutted while Inazuma was in development and due to the rapid pace they just had to cobble something together for the archon quest, hence why you're required to do two character quests in order to pad for time. If the rumors are true then it was a great decision because the archon quests have only gotten better in each region, and the world quests are amazing.
