Okay so I'll bite. I know little of this game aside from Gacha and anime. And people seem to move on from it due to Zoneless Zone Zero
Is it good? Also is Honkai Star Rail good? I'm mildly curious.

Also what in the fuck is Wuva?

Also I am assuming you can switch the voices to Japanese so I can avoid the shitty English VAs.

Edit_ It's Rail, not Trail. Sorry 'bout that.

Can't speak of ZZZ since i didn't play it much, but Star rail is good if you want a story heavy game the gameplay itself is basic but the characters and story are great
Wuthering Waves is a genshin clone except scifi and 20x easier gear grind
and all of these games you can switch the language

Ah good to know. I played a little bit of Honkai 3rd Impact back in the day so I am vaguely familiar with the company and the grind.

It's very nice to know that WuWA is easier on the soul regarding that since I refuse to spend money on gacha, even if it's a free game.

New players can increase their sprinting stamina from any archon statues and not limiting to Mondstadt and Liyue anymore.
Edit: words
I thought any archon statue increased stamina to begin with? Or was I hallucinating my stamina still progressively getting higher by a little each time I did the statue shit in this game?
Also oh my god I really need to wake up and get shit done int his game again as well as the other ones with timed event shit.

Only Mondstadt and Liyue statues increase your stamina. All of the others just gave you MC constellations.

Genshin is good if you like exploring BotW style, the story is okay at best and you'll want your guide to die a horrible death the second time she speaks.

Honkai has a much better story but is basically a gatcha turn based JRPG with only smaller explorable areas.

ZZZ is a much smaller world and the combat is more fighting game combo based. I personally like the story, being more slice of life than "Gather the 7 dragonballs to save the world" It is, however, the most furry based with many characters you run into being animal based. (Standard wolfman, big bear man, shark girl, rat girl and cat man.)

One thing that all MHY games have are banger soundtracks. (Side note: Wuwa also had a really good soundtrack the little I played of it, I prefered the combat of zzz over it.)

for now it's wait and see how much kuro is tightening the powercreep thumbscrews (which only really matter for ToA). apparently the new HP values and other stuff that made it harder were "bugs"
otoh if you do spend money there's less fuckery with pity and RNG (like weapon is 80 rolls max, that's it), and they're more generous (for now).

can't speak for HSR/ZZZ but genshin/wuwa are sidegames, if you keep up with the releases there's simply not enough stuff to grind all day every day.

Seeing as Star Rail is getting a crossover while Genshin still has just Alloy that can't be obtained, I'm going to blame the fans being a bunch of retards shitting on everything for why I won't be able to play as Saber. Fucking pants shitting retards, ruining everything.

The only reason Aloy is even a thing in Genshin is because they needed something to put on the PSN. No constellations available, and you can't even use the weapon and glider if you're not playing on PS.

If you don't have her you're not missing much.

good, crossover shit is cringe

I want something that's not "here, fight these enemies but with this weird buff that does either nothing at all, or kills everything instantly"

Monopoly GO won Mobile Game of the Year
No surprise there. They have better connection with the modern audience.

Fairly unimportant news, but Monopoly GO won Mobile Game of the Year over Star Rail and WuWa

I'm guessing the logic is either money payment type shit or the fact that genshin isless a "mobile game" and more "a game with a mobile version". I could be remembering wrong but I think someone earlier in the thread showed how jank the mobile version is compared to the other ones graphically, but it's still decent enough that you don't notice it too much on a small screen save for it being a console/pc sized game jammed onto a mobile device with the understandable result of doing that kind of thing.

At the highest quality settings I'd say the mobile version looks pretty close to the PC/Console version albeit at a lower render scale, but you need a flagship phone to actually run the game smoothly with those settings. My iPhone 15 Pro runs Genshin at 60fps more or less consistently but I generally only use it to do dailies quickly because I hate touch controls.

and as far as HSR's auto battler goes, it's really only good for farming because as new characters with new gimmicks come out the auto battler's logic never seems to get any smarter. 9/10 times it uses Ultimates the moment they're available with the exception of most healers where it almost never uses it, even ones with damaging Ults like Gallagher it'll just hold onto it until someone's about to drop dead.

If I'm reading this one correctly, this mean new players can access Natlan archon quest even before completing Inazuma, Sumeru and Fontaine. Somewhere between like finishing Liyue and Liyue interlude for the requirement.
Or anyone who hasn't bothered playing Genshin for a while, 1-2 years or so.

They're also adding an incentive of an extra 500 primos for completing the archon quest during the next version update so I'm guessing this is to give newer players a fair shake at those.

They mentioned during the 5.0 program one consistent bit of feedback they got was it was hard to get back into the game if you dropped it for a long time and wanted to jump straight into the new content. So someone interested in Fontane but quit after Liyue would still have to do the Inazuma and Sumeru quests first. Considering there is a significant chunk of players who don't care for the story, letting them skip straight to the new area if they want is a smart choice

That's not going to work cause the root of the problem is still here, that archon quest are mostly boring and slow and there is no way to skip them and every archon quest has filler, so people find them boring and don't finish them other than to unlock weekly bosses.

Monstat forces you to do all favonius knight character quests. Liye is 90% you setting up a fake funeral. Inazuma had the whole training bullshit and useless rebels. Sumeru is mostly you stuck in the fake time loop then gathering allies to setup "the plan". Fontaine has you get stuck on that fucking prison searching childe for +4 hours.

HSR isnt much better but at least paimon doesnt exist there to repeat everything and you switch POVs which is more interesting and lets you autoscroll while tabbed out. ZZZ does the right thing and actually has a skip button for some things. HI3 lets you skip near everything.

Hopefully it wont be a reminder of why i stopped playing genshin in the first place.
