That's not going to work cause the root of the problem is still here, that archon quest are mostly boring and slow and there is no way to skip them and every archon quest has filler, so people find them boring and don't finish them other than to unlock weekly bosses.

Monstat forces you to do all favonius knight character quests. Liye is 90% you setting up a fake funeral. Inazuma had the whole training bullshit and useless rebels. Sumeru is mostly you stuck in the fake time loop then gathering allies to setup "the plan". Fontaine has you get stuck on that fucking prison searching childe for +4 hours.

HSR isnt much better but at least paimon doesnt exist there to repeat everything and you switch POVs which is more interesting and lets you autoscroll while tabbed out. ZZZ does the right thing and actually has a skip button for some things. HI3 lets you skip near everything.

Hopefully it wont be a reminder of why i stopped playing genshin in the first place.
You don't even need to do archon quests to unlock bosses anymore. All the weekly bosses can be fought immediately from the adventurer's guide even if you haven't unlocked them. Normal bosses still have to be physically located but I don't think any of them are gated by Archon quest progress although a number do require side quests to unlock their respective areas.

There's absolutely no reason not to give a skip button for dialogue though with how long some of Genshin's yap sessions are.

Hey guys. Serious question. I keep remembering there being a picture of Dori drawn as a happy merchant, but all my attempts at finding it turned back nothing. Have you guys seen it, or am I just imagining things?

I've seen that too. Probably censored from the algorithms or something online. Didn't save the image but I remember the edit vividly.

I mean she's blatantly built upon a variation of that kind of merchant steretoype minus the jew factor.

Ok, I am not crazy. That's a relief.

I've used a few different search engines, and haven't found what I need. Seen lots of other happy merchants: doomguy happy merchant, pepe happy merchant, Sargoy happy merchant

arab, irish, soyjack, Spamton, turk, submarine, supersayan, jew wario, jewwario, reptilian, shark, goblin, news reporter, spy vs spy, nazi skinhead, arbok, cyberdemon, somebody from attack on titan, mongol, Dracula, aussie, Chewbaka, pikachu, alien, vulture, trump, another goblin, dolphin and a lot more. But none was genshin-related.
I remember the edit vividly
The one I remember wasn't an edit. It was drawn digitally. Without nose and such. Just Dori in the same pose and aproximately same facial expression.

Oh, the one I remember was an edit with the nose and everything. I mean she does a similar pose and expression in game even without the nose so I figured that edit was what you were talking about.

Okay so I tried Genshin and it's actually not bad so far. Note that I'm still fucking around in the Mondstadt shit so it's not like I'm hundreds of hours in. Got a few rolls so my base team is main player character, Amber, Lisa, uhhhhh blue haired eyepatch guy.

Due to more rolls I got a secondary team in the works of Beidou, uh Chinese water boy with the sword and Noel.

Got Mona but she's put on the back burner because I like to have different elements on the teams. If you got any build advice, hit me up.

The gameplay loop is fun but some of the quests are kinda eye rolling with running back and forth and talking to eyepatch guy for that dungeon. I wish the run speed was faster or that the sprint was longer or there was some kind of steed on the off chance you can't fast travel. And the less I say about Paimon, the better. She's slightly less annoying in Japanese than in English. I heard one fucking line and muted that shit until I could get the Japanese voices as soon as possible.

Since I play on PC with a Playstation controller, the fact that X is cancel and O is confirm fucks me up because I'm so used to the opposite.

Finally: good lord these games are stupid massive. Maybe that's just pc gaming standard and I know fuck all because I usually play on consoles. But the download time and size is insane.

And I wish there was a way to skip the Hoyo Launcher / WuWa launcher since it's just adverts for gacha shit and events anyway.

go into the game folder/Genshin Impact game and you can make a shortcut to GenshinImpact.exe and launch it directly. just remember that you still need to use the launcher to update the game when new patches come out

I've been playing on ps4 this whole time, download time and size isn't that massive when it updates anymore, but that might be due to the fact they added a patch to the ps4 one that requires you do download "dlc" that's basically just the full game's base info so it updates normally instead of having to do massive re-download of the game each time it updates which makes me wonder why more companies don't do shit like that these days. It's like every game i own with online access/update shit the last6 years or so does this retarded shit where it's blatantly erasing the original game and basically re-installing it instead of just adding the extra file data on. Horrible standard to become the norm honestly.

Whenever you get to Inazuma make sure to do the optional world quests, some span several real world days in small chunks and exploring various locations but if you don't want to have to deal with killer trees, lightning hellfire spam on the one island every 5 seconds, or the fog, you should probably put up with the little extra time completing those.

The auto scroll is slow as fuck and even pressing buttons doesn't make the dialog go faster. WuWa and Reverse 1999 lets you skip almost everything. I don't get the point of Genshin and HSR being like they are.

I wish the run speed was faster or that the sprint was longer
Some characters have passives that increase movement speed (Rosaria,Dehya) and others decrease the stamina cost of running, you can also build a team with 2 anemo characters to get a movement speed buff and the statues of the seven let you turn in oculi to raise your stamina cap
I heard one fucking line and muted that shit until I could get the Japanese voices as soon as possible.
Why not the Chinese audio? It's the only one that matches the lip movements and it's slightly smaller in size

Gotta be real with you, it's because I'm a weeb and I recognized a lot of the voice actors on the Japanese side and it's just more pleasant to listen to.

I don't care so much about lip syncing since I'm reading the subtitles anyway for normal dialog boxes.

Edit: with the above being said I might get the Chinese voices ust out of curiosity

Edit 2: getting the Chinese voices for Honkai too and especially WuWa because that game is filled to the brim with Chinese names and if playing Dynasty Warriors has taught me anything, Chinese names are most certainly one of those things you should learn phonetically in the original language.

You'd expect the left stick to gradually ramp up your character's movement speed when playing on controller, but only the right camera stick works like that for some reason. The left stick is limited to like 2 speeds. Genshin has a lot of questionable design choices.

You can increase your stamina by getting collectables to level up the Anemo and Geo Statues.

I would say you don't have many characters so play whatever you like,. Xingqiu is great late game but really needs stats and constellations, Mona is alright just because she runs faster but won't do a ton for you now, Beidou has her uses and would make early game more comfortable but isn't really meta, Noelle could help as well but is pretty weak later on.

Twitter fags want mihoyo to put niggers into the game, so mihoyo responds by putting in a white rapper to make them even angrier.

It took over 3 years and i still forget they did this.

Inazuma bosses are gated by archon quest, and it might be a problem in because if people get kazuha or raiden and rush natlan they're not gonna be able to train them.

I mean, i just don't think this is sustainable long term and people will get spoiled. HI3 lets you play the most recent story and i did that for rewards and i regret cause it's impenetrable. Genshin is more straightfoward but we already have a ton of MAIN LORE locked behind limited events and FOMO shit that make the game not beginner friendly.

New character for HSR 2.6.

What the fuck is this?

You see, one day Riot Games gave a rapper skin to a ninja girl in league of legends and an entire generation of artists was ruined forever.

This is what every "asian rapper gamer girl" looks like now.

The game's meta revolves pretty heavily around the Spiral Abyss. Most of the advice you'll see is written with that in mind. If a character performs well or fills a specific niche in the Spiral Abyss, they'll be highly rated. If they don't see much use in the Spiral Abyss, they'll be poorly rated. The reality is that most characters are perfectly fine for clearing story content, events, overworld exploration, domains, and world bosses. Here are some thoughts from a guy who avoids the Abyss:

Mona is good at applying constant Hydro damage. Looking at the characters you currently have, Mona would pair well with either Beidou or Lisa. Beidou's ultimate skill gives your normal attacks an Electro element, and Lisa's ultimate puts down an Electro turret. If you then switch to Mona and spam her basic attack, you can rapid-fire the Electro-Charged elemental reaction, which can make most overworld enemies disappear pretty quickly. Mona's unique dash animation allows her to sprint on top of water, which is useful for overworld exploration. For her build, Hydro Damage Bonus% and/or CRIT stats are good to focus on. If you level her up, you'll unlock a passive skill that increases her damage by a percentage of her Energy Recharge stat, so later on you may want to build that up.

The Dragonspine (ice mountain) area has an artifact domain that has two good artifact sets, Heart of Depth and Blizzard Strayer. Heart of Depth is good for Hydro attackers like Mona, and Blizzard Strayer is good for Cryo attackers like Eyepatch Guy. I think you can get to that domain pretty early in the game, like before even beating Mondstat.

Beidou is fun. From doing wishes, you'll probably end up with multiple copies of a claymore called Sacrificial Greatsword, which is good for Beidou early on. It's not the max-damage-meta-chad choice, but it allows you to use her counter skill more often, and that's just fun.

Noelle is a great beginner's character. She can shield, heal, and do decent damage. One of her passive abilities allows her to create a shield for your active character if their HP goes below 30%. Her usefulness falls off as you go through the game and get better healers and attackers, but she's never really a bad character. She's well worth investing in early. Noelle is one of the few characters who really benefits from a high DEF stat, since it increases her healing and damage output. One of the Mondstat domains has the Retracing Brolide artifact set, which is a good fit for her early on. It increases her shield strength and increases her damage output while her shield is up. You'll probably end up with multiple copies of swords called the Bell or Whiteblind. Either one is a good choice for Noelle early on.
