I skipped Yunli, but got her LC and put it on Clara. She's heaps better.

I'm saving up for the fox dude even though I don't have Acheron since he can play with Kafka. Also, I'm planning on getting Acheron when she comes back.

I really hope that we more get healers for WuWa. I don't have Verina and I've been using Jianxin as a healer basically. I rrally despise how Baizhi plays.
 
The voice actor of Sucrose and that fat shit Venture from Overwatch, Valeria Rodríguez, is having a raging meltdown today. All I know is that she's on strike and attacking fans over her shitty modern voice acting.

She was also HuoHuo's voice actor in Star Rail but that was changed in this patch. Huohuo, Tail and Argenti vocie actors changed all at oncewith no warning, but knowing Hoyo also cut her from ZZZ means it wasnt a random small thing.

What i mean is, dont be surprised if/wuen Hoyo gives Sucrose a new voice actress in 5.0 too.

Until proven otherwise, I’m going to assume Genshin is facing more competition in China, for games made and marketed specifically FOR the Chinese audience. MHY is still sitting pretty at the top of this particular mountain, don’t get me wrong, but if something local has them spooked I’m not going to complain about Global getting benefits for it.

It's weird, because I do play wuwa and enjoy it, but not for the same reasons I play genshin, and I dont think it ever even crossed my mind that the new kid on the block would dethrone anything.

It's unironically the best shit ever. 99% of the time the best use of self modeling resin in HSR is on energy rope or speed boots because those are the most rare shit where the main stat alone is worth it even with bad subs.

In genshin tho, crafting a piece with fixed main stat at all is absurd because you can spare an off piece so having an onset elemental goblet AT ALL is massive. Like, imagine a world where you press 1 button and your Xinqiu gets a hydro Emblem goblet with CR/CD. Even if it rolls into shit, the onset matching goblet alone is worth it.

The only downside is that it seems to cost a significant amount of artifact exp and you're limited to 1 set piece per banner so it's not going to yolo stop farming.

This is enough exp for 1 elixir and you need 4 for a goblet. According to my calcs this is at least 654k art exp which would be around two level 20 artifact + one level 14 artifact. Multiply that by 4 and you need almost ten level 20 artifacts to craft 1 custom goblet. Hoyo really doesnt want players to stop grinding.

The paid battlepass track gives them too btw.

Dawei addressed the crowd at hoyofest and was breaking down in tears over how the doomposting about the state of genshin and the dev teams direction finally started to get to him which got them actually put effort into getting back on track. The competition is a factor but Wuwa numbers are less of a threat then having your core players drop genshin for HSR and ZZZ or quit altogether, especially when genshin is in the period of its life where there isn't going to be a substantial new influx of players.

there's more competition coming up, any competition is "bad", no matter how good or bad the a so called genshin killer does. in some regard it's worse when migoyo gets constantly bombarded with "fucking wuwa manages to do X, why can't a literal billion dollar company like you?!?". wuwa is generous with their 5* to the point giving away a new one for free and has a no bs weapon banner, suddenly genshin catches up after 4 fucking years and a nerfed weapon banner literally everyone back called shit and whalebait?

HSR/ZZZ also another selfmade competition, but unless you like 4 niggas in a row etc. there won't be much overlap - and even if you do, most people don't play 2+ gatchas, let alone pay for them, least of all the big casual crowd genshin has attracted. I wouldn't put it past them that they expected the opposite...
 
As I was playing WuWa yesterday, I noticed they implemented their reserve energy system. It reserves around 480 energy and regenerates once every 12 minutes after your main energy is full.
 
Funny thing is ZZZ also getting a similar reserve energy system soon too.

It's pretty fair that lots of players considering Genshin dev team or vision is more arrogant and stubborn with the whole feeling not as rewarding to play. They are 100% deserved the criticism, being so lazy on QoL. Now they decide to give more primos for exploration milestone (archon statue, depth shrines, "trees" or fountain) in Natlan. Now whether the primos amount is enough to bump a F2P having from 60ish pulls per patch to 90ish pulls per patch like HSR and maybe ZZZ, that remains to be seen. Probably not.
Also this, completing Natlan character tribal quest gives character ascension materials up to phase 3 (LV60). So a bit more stamina cost reduction. Along with, every world mobs drop more materials and new WL9 (these two stacks), so it should ease the tedious grind a bit.

New players can increase their sprinting stamina from any archon statues and not limiting to Mondstadt and Liyue anymore.
