Sooo scaramuxe finally released and too bad for me he's fun as fuck but i have to skip him for raiden... My brother got him tho and we did some tests so if you want to roll here are some interesting trivia:
1-His normal attack projectiles go very far fast and are homing mid travel, as long as you're within target range. 4 of them per combo.
2-His charge attack is AoE and very spamable but not as fast the trial makes it look (that one has atk speed artifact). It's probably the best catalyst charge atk in the game, it has good dmg, is ranged/homing INSIDE the enemy, launches up and costs nothing during his flight. In fact i think against multi target you're better off just doing charge attacks instead of normals.
3-Skill gives him flight and personal multiplier for like 9~ seconds. You can move in normal speed or move slower while attacking, Dont expect to fly a lot tho, if you dash or go up you eat a chunk of stamina. It seems you only need to attack during flight to generate energy and he makes 4-5 per flight, which is pretty good.
4-Burst really isnt that great but it's okay fast aoe dmg with nothing special. You can actually burst during flight so you can use invincibility frames.
5-Wanderer legit has lower hp and defense than Klee meaning he WILL die very fast. Even in the trial you can get hurt.
6-A1 gives him 2 free buff on swirl which means he's to be played swirling two anemos and NOT on hypercarry comp with zhongli like Xiao. If you put him with faruza, zhongli and yunjin you're wasting his passive.
7-A4 gives him a free dash after some attacks so you can like, dodge and shit. Havent tested much yet but it sure feels like the dash still wastes stamina somehow cause it seems to end faster even with the passive.
pro tip: If you get knocked from the air and tap jump, Scara will actually wake up and go into combat in the air. This is never explained in the game and i didnt see anyone do it during beta either.
pro tip 2: tapping jump instead of holding will actually take you further up because it takes a fixed distance per tap.
Damage wise i cant tell but he's not going to be solo outdamaging Ayaka or anything so if you want a badass hypercarry husbando Wanderer is not that. Play itto trial and you'll see itto is a lot stronger but of course, that's from a 70 cost burst. Unless you have faruzan c6, he's probably not even matching Xiao either, which makes sense since Xiao is a lot more limited.
IMO Wanderer greatest strength is his zero cost range, flexibility and flight. He can pick VV and drive anything Sucrose can while doing more dmg and aoe, but he can also play anemo DPS on comps like freeze which sound highly cursed. If you want him with dps set, you can have a second anemo with VV and he can probably hit inside Venti's burst very easily altho it still sounds cursed. You can put him with yelan+/beidou and proc both bursts from very far while moving, etc..
He's wont be on the top of youtuber tier lists but he seems too easy to get value to be a bad character for me. He's also very fun of course.
And speaking of fun, weew lad the TCG is kinda fun too isnt it? I only played the tutorial fight but i really like it. Characters have their in game moveset so it's very easy to understand. A lot of room for optimization and once you get a good setup going it feels great to stomp the enemy. It's also a weekly battle pass goal btw, for now it looks cool
