But it's so good when you finally win tho. I was already happy with my first time getting 6* but reaching 8* made me too hungry for the possibility of 9*. Zhongli and ganyu helped with 2 of my greatest issues (diluc's team lacking shred and ayaka's team lacking AoE) but i'm still lacking in other areas, notably anemo and hydro characters.

That's my dillema, i need xinqiu with diluc/bennet/ZL against the cube so i cant use xinqiu with ayaka/ganyu/sayu against the pyro lector. Tried switching sides and characters around and wasnt worth it. It was a near miracle i got so close with just barbara anyway, for now i'll give up and hope i get mona one day.

Because despite my whining, i like to bash my head against a videogame wall until one of us breaks. It's not really about 50 gems, it's about seeing how farther i can get everytime, which might sound autistic but fuck it, this game is fun and even in failure i feel some level of accomplishment.

My main problem with this event is that

1-I dont find it funny. This is just paimon teaching a mascot/child and traveler making random remarks.
2-It's lazy and repetitive. No voice acting and lame directing, only talk for 15 minutes, 7 times.
3-It's a goddamn time gated event that pressures you to get it done soon as posible so i got burnt out (did 4 at once).

I'd like it a lot more if it was just a series of sidequests i can do at my own time, or even a hangout. At least it's pretty easy and not another arena event so i'll give them that.

Altho, it's funny how divisive it is. (same amount of comments even).

This entire mini Event feels like something they had an intern crank out in an afternoon, but hey - Free Primos are Free Primos.

It honestly feels like the Lantern Rite was supposed to be where this patch ended, but somewhere in the timings they fucked it up and had a dead week they had to fill with something - so why not add another “isn’t Fantasy China great, oh benevolent Chinese Overlords?” kinda deal..:
 
on one hand i think kichiboushi is cute and i kind of wish i could have a pet tanuki in my teapot, but on the other hand i agree with the feeling that this is just filler done for the sake of dangling car keys in front of us until that next update comes out.

also like what @LucasSomething said, thank fucking god it's not another whalebait arena event. they keep trying to put different spins on them but it's just exhausting because they're clearly tailored for metafags. trying to decode those bad translation jobs doesn't help, either.
 
@LucasSomething Don't forget how big a difference getting good bonus cards can make in the abyss. They reset every day (or two or something), so if your options are all bad (em, hp, def), just come back later and wait for a +crit or +atk bonus.

This 12-1 is pretty cancer though. That ruin cube has so much downtime because you can't beat it in one cycle, and the pyro lector just needs hydro spam. I am kind of happy that I got an excuse to bring Barbara-sama out of retirement after building a new artifact set for her on a whim, though.

you can't really compare and event you can mostly run on autopilot (there's even an auto dialog option) to that shit.

I have around 40~ pity built into the weapon banner so i wonder if i should risk a jade cutter. Yae's weapon is 600atk 66 critD + 3x12% skill dmg + 12% element with 3 stacks, not exactly bad but i'd still feel bad if i got it.

I have +190 rolls in gems and no plans to roll next patch so i dont mind dumping 20-40 on weps (especially with sac sword in there), as long as i have +150 for kazuha i'm chill.

The only things that can change my plans is raiden banner having 4*s i need (mostly sucrose) or Ayato turning out to be extremely hype to play. Leakers are insisting he's a water infuser and atk speed buffer, if he ends being another xiangling enabler then i'll pass.

Also not shown here but the next weapon banner will obviously be engulfing lightning and kokomi's donut, i am sorry for anyone who wanted that spear lol.

As someone who hopes to get that sword one day, I understand what you're saying. I have the Claymore which could only make sense by using with a Diluc or Sayu, I just got the Catalyst which could be used with Sucrose, Klee, Mona, (which I don't have) & if you're daring with your gameplay, Lisa, who's only played to climb mountains with fun. Seriously, even the bow has more usage than either of those 2, bit I don't wanna feel ungrateful.

The Sac sword is one of the most important weapon I can achieve as a Xingqiu player, or even as a Bennett player (I'm both). Same goes for you considering you're going for Kazoo in the future.

I'm just saying that weapon banners are a fucking scam, at least to me, but I'm F2P so it's just me. But I do have to admit that Jade Cutter may be one of the best swords in the game & could be utilised for many great characters.

I would tell you to reasearch a bit at the very least when, but you do what you want, it's your gems.
 
if you're fine with getting just about anything from the banner then go for it. i used to think it's a scam too, but doing a 10 pull here or there racks up for when you do see something you'd like and would not mind either weapon. i think the 4* rates are higher too, i seem to be getting multiple weapons/characters per 10 pull but that's just anecdotally

Because they are. If you go to weapon banner and click on details it will explicitly say the 5* hard pity is 80, while the drop rates are 0.7% and 6% (instead of 0.6 and 5.1). It doesnt say but there is also a soft pity at 65 for 5* and 8 for 4*.

I'm not gonna say weapon banner is good but i think some people will eventually reach a point where they get more value from specific rare weapons than new characters, and AS LONG as you're willing to take the worst case scenario reasonably and not spend too much then it's not THAT bad.

Like, i've seen people getting 2 kokomi donuts trying to get jade cutter and then crying about it, when really that's on you for taking that risk you moron. If you dont want BOTH 5*s then you shouldnt be rolling at all, unless you got 0 pity and wanna try a few pulls on a 4* (which i did and worked out since i got a sac sword this way).

Like, dont go weapon banner if you're casual, f2p or a newbie because those fates are better spent guaranteeing new fun characters that you take too long to save. The worst part of weapon banner is that path points dont carry over so it's the only true "wasted" thing in the game, presuring you to swipe if things go wrong. Only roll if it's a stacked banner and you really NEED this weapon, but dont overspend.

tl;dr: Gamble responsibly or something.

It's based on the "kagura suzu", essentially a tiny stick covered in bells that very slightly resembles a tree. It's an instrument shrine maidens use when dancing and stuff. Thus, why it's called "Kagura's verity". (fun fact: "miko" means shrine maiden, in case yae's name wasnt symbolic enough).


I know it looks like garbage and i've seen people online making fun of it but that's how it actually looks in real life.

i'm still assblasted about how they treated ei. she had so much potential and they chose to take the safest, most pandering route instead. even her being a gigasperg womanchild could've worked if she had to face the consequences of turning inazuma into a shithole. her character quest sucked hard too, it was nothing compared to venti's or zhongli's.
anyways sumeru when.

Me to. I just hate how it glosses over thr fact her decades of neglect led to a civil war and opted to spend the last half waifuing her as a boomer.

In the end of the day the question is: what are you gonna do about it? She's a god and an uncontested monarch with an ability to disintegrate whoever she wants. The best bet is to rip her a new asshole in her consciousness and pray that at least some important things leak in there.

why hasn't yae done that yet? she's her one fucking friend and for some reason she didn't seem all that bothered by how ei wanted to stay in her mind palace for five decades while inazuma collapsed on itself, aside from when she whined to traveler like "oh nooooo eternity is too lonely for ei she has to take care of herself :("
