Grabbed a Yu Jun or however her name’s spelt Constellation - have every other Liyue character except Yanfei at C6, and she’s at C3, so I figured I might as well improve Opera Girl

I'm going with Yun Jin because she's new and I have everyone else at C5 or C6. Really wish they'd do an equivalent event with Mondstadt 4* because my luck on that front has not been as strong.

I wasn't supposed to pull for Ganyu (I already managed to get CEO of GEO during his re-run) but seeing the damage my friends does with her and how I'm lacking a good cryo dps I decided to go all in...
And I managed to win the 50/50 ! I somewhat managed to be quite lucky in this game since I always get the characters I want (granted, the chara I wanted the most was Klee and Zhongli and I managed to get them both!).
Now it's gonna be the time for the difficult path of farming good artefacts for her...Apparently the wanderer set is quite good on her but I want to get a proper cryo set in the future !

Wanderers for Melt comp and Blizz for perma freeze comp I think would be the best but I know one dude who just uses WT for both and his damage seems fine (I already had both by the time I got her so I switch them around depending on what Im doing)
I think the best thing to do would farm the blizzard strayer domain and turn in all of your trash pieces to the artifact table for WT pieces.

I think I'm going to grab Ning, because I don't have her yet and her event skin is cool. (I actually managed to get my C6 Yanfei by rolling so I don't need that anymore!)
I feel kinda torn on my team's direction right now. I was gonna go for a freeze comp after getting Ganyu, with Mona and Diona, but the 4th slot feels wasted since I don't have XL or a good anemo unit. So right now, I'm running Yanfei-Mona-Ganyu-Bennett, with Yanfei as DPS. It feels kinda bad running my shiny new Ganyu as just an ult button though. I'm hoping the rumor of a Venti rerun next patch is true, since then I'd have all the pieces for a full Morgana comp!

I did the same lol, it was going to be Xingqiu, but I got him & then later got him to C2 in Zhongli Banner alone. Also hot my Beidou to C1, so I thought I'll use this banner to make her E better. But then I just wanted the Ninnger because I got the skin & well Geo Mommy.

You don't need anemo to run freeze Ganyu. You have 3/4 of a meta team, but it's not unusable without Venti. In fact, if you want to grab Xingqiu instead of Ning, you would have a pretty great team. Plus you have C6 Yanfei, so the role that Ningguang would fill is kind of covered if you're not specifically looking for geo.
I wouldn't blame you for getting Ningguang though, she's one of my favorite characters and was the star of one of my abyss teams for months.

Got c6 xinqiu but i kinda regret it now since i only ever see xinqiu twice per month at abyss anyway. Probably should've gotten yunjin since i dont have her or ning who i want to play with ZL.
And congrats on ganyu woo, she's really braindead strong and her only real weakness is being made of glass, which is easily fixed with zhongli. I did coop azdaha with my brother and it was just me and my shield, i almost felt bad.
Now i recommend going back to saving for someone you want a looot next.
You dont have XL (xiangling)? Did you mean XQ (xinqiu)? You cant use XQ with ganyu btw, only someone who normal attacks. He's the core of any pyro dps team tho so yanfei kinda needs him.
If it helps, you can use anybody in the normal game as long as they're all strong or at least one is a hypercarry. The closer you get to "endgame", the easier it gets and you can simply ignore reactions and play whoever you like.
My enkanomya team was Diluc (favorite), ganyu (ruin guard sniping), sayu (sonic) and zhongli (pillar) which is not optimal by any means but everyone is competent so i kill stuff fast anyways. Hell, i finally benched bennet for the first time ever cause i feel i cant play this game without sayu anymore. I'm afraid kazuha will be the same.
I'm aware of venti rumors but a bunch of leakers are doubling down on the next patch being Yae miko and Kokomi+raiden (heavy implications), and potentially surprise kazuha. Until you get venti, you can use sucrose or sayu, it's not going to be the dream freeze team but trust me, it's viable (i use barbara).
Also, someone leaked the advertising for the next stream which will be on Feb 4, so we'll know the next reruns soon.

Ahh sorry that was a typo, I meant to say ZL (Zhongli), who seems to me like he'd fit in the team pretty decently. I actually do have Xinqiu but I'm using Mona in his place for now, since I'm indecisive and already feel like I'm leveling too many characters at once, though I'm aware that Xinqiu is probably technically better.

Xingqiu is inconvenient with Ganyu but not unusable. Like Lucas said, you need to use normal attacks to get his burst swords to proc, which means you need to drop out of aim mode often to apply hydro. Compared to Mona whose skill acts like a turret, he takes more work to get your enemies frozen. If you're struggling for a fourth on your freeze team, though, more hydro couldn't hurt.
As far as levelling priority, there's not really a right answer, but there also kind of is. If you really want to be efficient, you would go for the most universally useful characters. Bennet, Xingqiu, Diona, or any other high-value support that do at least two things well will always give you more options for team-building if they're levelled and built. If you have a good damage dealer that synergizes with your supports, that's also a high priority.
But you don't have to be optimal either. If you want to shower Mona with all your resin because you like her big round hat, then you're playing the game as it's meant to be played IMO.

I've been through the pyro domain for 2 months and rng is shit so I haven't found anything really that great so far. I was trying to get a good pyro dmg goblet for my hutao but it never showed up so im going to give her an atk goblet instead since she gets the 33% bonus for low hp anyways and start lvling her up since I need to get some artifacts from the cryo domain now

I tried that for a bit, looked at it after a week and went "lol nope". put my spare berserker stuff on her (don't care it's purple, still works for what I'm doing) and started dumping my resin on leveling talents to 8 (except the new two new ones all my chars are already all lvl80).

A few tips:
1-Never aim for an elemental goblet that matches it's artifact set, the chances are incredibly low and 90% of the time you'll be using an offset goblet. If you play long enough you should have a 5* pyro goblet (maybe).
2-Please, give Hu tao a pyro dmg goblet even if the substats are thrash, that's +46% elemental damage.
3-Hu tao has the lowest base atk in the game and her whole gimmick is converting hp into flat atk. She gets way more value from HP% than atk%. What i mean is, if you're not giving her a pyro goblet, at least give her an hp% goblet instead of an atk% one. She's also better with hp% sands and even EM sands (if not using dragon bane or albedo).
4-The cryo domain is really annoying since the lawachu can one shot lower lvl people. I recommend hu tao+bennet+xingling+shielder/anemo if possible, you dont want to be at low hp there.
5-If you hate the crimson witch domain that much (i sure do) you can try farming shimenawa or bollide (needs zhongli) for hu tao, both work and get close to CW (allegedly).

Absolutely this. By far, elemental goblets of a desired element and decent substats are the hardest and rarest artifacts to find, so even if the substats aren't really what you want, if it's the element you want keep it around and use it until you maybe eventually find a better one. For any character that deals the overwhelming majority of their damage in their element, a %element goblet is a must and nobody plays Physical Hu Tao for a reason.

Yeah my pryo goblets are trash and I only have one that could be useful on her with 14% hp. I'll try out em/hp and if I'm not satisfied I'll give the hp/pyro a go. My hutao has 34% crit rate and I'm trying to figure out if I should give her death match or dragons bane.

Deathmatch will give you versatility over damage ; vice versa with dragon's bane which requires xingqiu and a bit of EM for results. For both weapons, you can also try double pyro which works well.
A temporary substitute is trading the trash artifacts in to chance a WT Pyro cup as part of a 2 WT 2 CW set until you complete full CW at your leisure.

You are not missing anything significant not getting Ganyu since you have Ayaka, skip her.
Ganyu's advantage is her BiS weapon(s) is from the general banner, a taunt skill and a long lasting burst along with her FF arrows in exchange for being as squishy as Klee and awkward to use on mobile.
I say don't waste primos on Ganyu unless you planned to get her from the start.

If Primos are a concern yet you have Ayaka, you can skip Ganyu. Ganyu is much more versatile than Ayaka, but unless you enjoy obliterating everything from range or want to build the perfect permafreeze team she's not really mandatory. That said, if you're not on Console/PC you probably wouldn't use Ganyu for anything other than a support.
If possible though, try to pick her up the next time she rolls around. She's good for easily soloing every domain/boss that doesn't have cryo-immune enemies.
