Fairly positive. Despite being simplified for mobile peasants, combat is pretty enjoyable though I often wish characters had more than more than four attacks (light chain, charge attack, skill and burst). Elemental reactions could use a slight overhaul as Melt/Vaporize reactions overshadow everything else, as why bother with debuffs/DoTs when I can just murder it that much faster instead. What are your thoughts on this game? I'm completely fine with the gacha since nothing can be worse than FGO's, and the gameplay looks interesting.
Exploring the world is definitely the game's strongest aspect, as whenever a new area is released my priorities shift towards seeing what's there, coming back to the new related quests/plot later after I've explored as much as I can. Voice acting can be a mixed bag, but the music is well done and can really set the mood for a particular area (think of the Mist Island). Plot is generally fairly predictable if you've been paying attention, and not really mandatory.
The two negative sticking points are the endgame and the gacha. Endgame is pretty much just repeatedly grinding/storing materials that you might use on a new character someday and trying to get randomized artifacts with somewhat better stats than what you're currently using, or just waiting for a new short event to come along to have something to do. While you can complete the game as a free to play, if you want new characters you must brave the gacha and even if you're lucky and pull the rarity you want, there's a 50% chance it's not going to be the character you want. The weapon banner is best avoided, as your collection of decent weapons will slowly grow from the character banner pulls. So while it's not FGO bad, it's definitely not Azur Lane good either (where as a F2P you can reasonably pull everything from the gacha, always, without having to shell out any money).
