I got excited when I saw this leak, but Ive ALSO since learned he said there was going to be a livestream on the 28th for the anniversary so...1-People were expecting Bennet 2.0. She was not bennet 2.0.
2-She is janky as fuck. Like, her backdash doesnt work half the time and her optimal playstyle is literally "teleport -> shoot your own foot -> switch" until you get c2 which then becomes "teleport -> switch -> snap burst -> switch back -> shoot own foot -> switch".
She's still the only non bennet atk buffer so she has a few niche uses, which is being Raiden's cheerleader, but she's not worth the awkwardness to play, unless you actually love that kinda of playstyle. From what i see, even some of her fans dont like playing her.
At least you see people picking Sara to give Raiden big damage per screenshot, i never see anybody talk about Sayu. I blame that on people dont knowing how to build her since she is an ATK/EM split scaling healer but unlike others, you actually want to be hybrid, especially at C6.
In other news, the guy who manages the leak translation discord is saying the next banners will be Albedo+gorou and Ittou

Be aware, this is the guy who said 2.2 would be Ganyu and Yae so a bunch of people hate him right now.
They have, and massive fines for the Chinese leakers, not sure what happened with those. This game might leak like a thimble, but I’d imagine that the devs are getting sick of that and trying to patch said leaks.
That and I’m moderately surprised they haven’t thrown lawyers at the leakers - yeah, I know, long shot, but there might be an argument that the leaks are hurting their bottom line, and people are retarded enough that I could see that going through…
I'm of the opinion that you don't build Sayu for Healing/damage/shred or anything related to combat. You just get Sayu so you can use her skill to zoom around the map at a cost of 0 stamina.Yes, it could be better but i'll take it. If anyone wants to grind sayu i'll warn you already that she's a lot fucking worse than bennet but she's not a dead weight.
She's pointless if you have Jean but otherwise she brings VV shread, healing and claymore coverage which is good for a 4*. Her real weakness is energy issues (low gen high burst), high effort to build, mediocre dmg/heals and being an anemo support with zero CC so you'll probably rather use anyone else.

Its actually insane. I've never had a character that I use this much thats also this underbuilt. I still have her at level 40 with a throwaway lvl 80 archaic and 1/1/1 talents but I use her all the time in the overworld. She is actually like 4 QoL features in one character, it's great.I'm of the opinion that you don't build Sayu for Healing/damage/shred or anything related to combat. She's slightly faster than Mona/Ayaka but yeah its not going to blow you away. And yeah she does get stuck a lot. Its easier to get her unstuck compared to Mona/Ayaka but its still annoying as fuck when you're on terrain with lots of knicks and edgesFrom my experience, she's not that fast either. You dont use stamina but dont recover either and she get stuck on uneven terrain and wont drop from ledges. I've heard many mobile players rolled her just for her passive that makes catching cristal flies easy. Also helps with eels who are hard to see from far.
Never thought about it but yeah very true. I think at C6 you might want to aim for a pure EM build, but before that ATK and EM are both equally valid options. She's a split scaling character who can be built either way isntead of being cucked.

I'm disappointed in that everyone was like "WOW YOU CAN PAIR HER WITH XIANGLING/KAEYA AND GO TO TOWN" when she first came out, but I've yet to see any crazy damage/abyss showcases where she just destroys everything with kaeya and xianglings bursts active.
If you've played enough you should have literally all the characters you need to play the game. You should more or less focus on building up stats of characters you have/like to play as. The blue flower orb challenge things dispense level up books but you can only do so much within a day if you grind for those or other things. Best strategy for grinding the things you want is pick a thing and just go to town gathering shit in once or twice a day. I have literally never looked at any guides and just gone with whats effective for me. Everyone went on and on about how shit Amber was but for a good while she was my only useful archer because I fucking loaded her with crit and attack shit. I use fischl now when I need an archer because of the fact it became slightly too expensive to rank amber up further with the items I had. Certain character's special attacks do variable extra damage depending on shit like health attack or crit rate, on top of being leveled up using books from domain challenges. What you want to focus on gameplay wise in terms of enemy combat is is elemental weaknesses and elemental reactions. Overloaded is fucking great as it works on almost any enemy and it's my personal favorite due to that. people say electro is shit but it has certain gimmicks to it that when used correctly it just kills everything faster than any other element somehow. My guess is everybody out there's following the same "guides" to shit as each other. Hydro is a valuable element to have SOLELY because of the fucking pain in the ass shielded fire enemies. For context, most other sheilded enemies can have their shield killed by multiple elements, but somehow the fire ones, specifically shit like the fatui skirmishers and the hypostasis, ONLY REACT TO HYDRO FOR SOME DUMB FUCKING REASON. The only hydros I have are either too weak or not fun to play as, and the hydro healers for some stupid reason afflict the people being healed with hydro which causes YOU to take more damage if you get hit with other elements. Due to this I barely use the hydro guys and mainly just keep qiqi, ironically the FIRST FUCKING CHARACTER I ROLLED, on the party at all times. Cryo and electro effect pyro enemies that aren't the fucking shielded bitches. So a friend got me into this weeb bullshit not too long ago, and I have to say while its fun I have no god damn clue what I am doing, I'm a bit fuzzy on how to build a team with the characters I have. Most guides are just telling how to make super high dps big-peepee teams assuming you have all the characters, which is well and good, but I need to put together something viable with the harem I can work with now.
I got in at the tail end of the last banner so I was able to snag a few characters before being told to not spend shit on the current fishwoman banner. Mostly I've just been tossing resources into characters I like (Xiangling, Chongyun, Fischl, Noelle) and I've been making do so far, I want to make sure I am using my resources (which I've been a bit stingy with) building up a team to drag my baby ass through the game and get to the point I can actually start farming artifacts and the like (Especially as my world level is going up).
I know I'm not doing something right as sometimes combat goes ok, but often I feel like I'm flailing around wacking mobs with a pool noodle and getting my ass handed to me until abilities come back and I can go back to doing damage again.
(Those characters not counting the free unlocks being Xiangling, Chongyun, Fischl, Noelle, Sucrose, and Beidou). I'm just not sure what my dumb ass should be focusing on.
The other thing I am wondering: as a new player should I invest some rolls into the childe/hu tao banner or wait even longer for the Thoma banner? I was told to save everything as Drifting Luminescence was "god damn garbage" and all the free fates and primos i've been sitting on are burning a hole in my pocket.
Of the characters you listed, Xiangling, Beidou, Fischl, and Sucrose are all really good. Chongyun is really situational and it's usually best to only use him if you have a plan for him (like a melt team with Xiangling). Noelle is really only good if you get her constellations and build a team around getting her lots of energy, because she doesn't really generate much herself but relies a lot on her burst. Also, of the free characters, Kaeya is actually really good, and Barbara is a solid healer at any level. All that said, play who you like the most and don't worry about meta teams unless you want to try-hard the spiral abyss. So a friend got me into this weeb bullshit not too long ago, and I have to say while its fun I have no god damn clue what I am doing, I'm a bit fuzzy on how to build a team with the characters I have. Just coming in as well to remind you that as long as you are having fun, you are doing things right. If you like a character, by all means, invest some ressources into him. I had Kaeya in my team until world level 52 or something, just because I liked his lore and design. So a friend got me into this weeb bullshit not too long ago, and I have to say while its fun I have no god damn clue what I am doing, I'm a bit fuzzy on how to build a team with the characters I have. Early game, I'd focus more on coverage than optimization, so the first thing I'd recommend is looking at your current roster and pick one character for each of the six elements that you gravitate towards gameplay wise or aesthetically. Once you have your characters, designate one as your main DPS and feel free to pour your resources into this character as you see fit. This is the character that is going to get the most field time, so you want them to hit the hardest while having enough HP to surive enemy attacks. So, it's generally okay to level up your main DPS, give them your best weapon, and level up any of their talents. So a friend got me into this weeb bullshit not too long ago, and I have to say while its fun I have no god damn clue what I am doing, I'm a bit fuzzy on how to build a team with the characters I have. It's a PlayStation only issue; notice was just posted.Anyone else having issues trying to get Genshin open? Keeps giving me some shit about “Third-Party account not registered” - have a Mihoyo account linked to my system, and the PS5 is really the only thing I play GI from (phone is potato).
Mostly curious if shit’s down, or if I need to deal with the hell that is Customer Service…
Due to an issue with PlayStation™Network services, some Travelers have been unable to log into the game normally.

Yeah I think at least getting 6-stars on 11 and 3 stars on 12 (and 9/9 on 9 and 10) is really fucking easy. By doing that you're getting like 900 extra primos a monthAnd in speaking of saving up gems for characters/weapons you want to pull for, the Spiral Abyss is honestly a pretty good place to get them from. Most players hate it, but you should make an effort to clear at least the first eight floors (which are completely doable when you follow the tips people posted above).
My F2P account didn't start out strong but I've fully built 6 characters to lvl70 (my Raiden is at lvl80) and I was honestly surprised how strong they were just because of specific small decisions (i.e. being picky of which artifacts to keep and which to trash, focusing on leveling up only two characters in a week).
The Abyss was made to be, and is still, the most endgame of endgame content in Genshin, but it's a blast to complete when you surprise yourself getting 9 stars with a half-baked team.
