inazuma is very very very fun, altho i'm struggling a bit to figure out a few of the mechanisms like with the electrograna and passing through barriers (not high enough level? that wasn't explained i don't think), and i haven't unlocked the other two islands yet. it's weird, it's smaller than liyue and mondstadt combined yet feels so big and there's so much to do
third page where electrograna are explained iirc.
basically it works like the tree in dragonspire, collect stuff, level it up, the higher you go the more powerful etc electrograna becomes.

just follow the first worldquest with the cleansing ritual, it's kind of a tutorial and unlocks something you want to have for exploration.

also lisa is MVP for exploration now.

Apparently it'll be coming to PS4 and PS5 first with 2.1, then to the other platforms with 2.2, and you'll need AR20 to get her in the mail. What an odd choice for a collab, why not get someone from Honkai?
Also, Aloy's weapon appears to be another PS exclusive (can be used on other platforms if you get it on PS, but the ability only toggles on PS). Not sure about her wing cosemetic.

Wasn't expecting Horizon as the first collab, but that's neat. I was sure it was going to be someone from another gacha, but I'm glad they went with an action game instead. It blows open the doors to some real wild shit down the line.

I’m already dreading the salt if they ever do a collab with Fate/GO. From both sides of that collab...

Genshin impact first collab.
The Chinese actually make her look cute. Also Hydro bow can be pretty neat.

Edit: Apperantly she's a five star frost bow. Wonder how ascension will work on her if she's a one time gift. Will be nice if she's a good replacement for Ganyu for non-whales.

I'm holding off on doing the lore quest stuff for a few more days due to personal reasons, but Minor update on my situation in terms of items. I managed to get the fucking samurai guy like a day before his banner ended, same situation with how I ended up with Klee. Much like Klee he's fucking insanely fun to play. I slapped random spare artifacts and shit that into his items and somehow despite him not even being max level yet ended up making him broken as fuck. I'm wagering it's because of the fact swirl is just that fucking versatile because there's a similar kind of fun factor with the default "not link" guy. Nothing like engulfing a torch weilding goblin in his own flames whle having a bird shoot electricity at him from the side.

Started the second act in Inazuma. The expansion went over all my expectations in terms of quality. The island and new enemies are well designed and fun to explore/fight. I highly recommend doing the quest with the fox masked woman one you leave the starting area since it unlocks entire areas of the island, some of which are pretty cool.
The annoying thing is that I need to grind pretty much everything for Ayaka (at least the sword handles are really plentiful), including the ice artifacts. I have a feeling each set has its own distribution over major stats. Since the thunder set gave me multiple EC items.

Kind of overwhelming how much content there is when I'm so used to a routine for dailies. Taking my time on the first island and it is dense with stuff to do. Got two Yanfei and I'm hoping for two more to finish the constellations, Ning would be nice too.

My Eula is gonna be loving all these electro supports that give fuckton of energy, though I think I'll stick with Xingqiu 2 electric boogaloo aka Electro Lumine. Kind of feel bad for anyone who ended up building her with like 140+ ER when she absolutely doesn't need it now.
Also damages this banner: 82 total rolls, Started at 40 pity. Got Ayaka at 80ish pity (won the coinflip which is kinda poggers). Then did about 40 more wishes chasing C6 Ningguang, which I did end up achieving. Unfortuanetly got no popsicle boy along the way, but got 3 Yanfeis who I'm honestly probably never going to use and a bunch of random 4* weapons. Ended up back around 40 pity. Kind of just waiting on a Ganyu rerun, but Raiden, Yae, or Kokomi could change my mind.

Also yeah Inazuma is fucking awesome. I think I spent like 3 days JUST on that first island. And even now, I'm sure I'm missing a fuckton of chests and collectables there

The Sakura Tree big ass questline was top notch. Inazuma has this melancholic barren feel and a really nice atmosphere that I'm enjoying a lot

Haven't played this game in about a month, wondering if I should go back in to it after these changes.I got a bit bored before.

Well, the third major region just got released, which offers a lot of new and interesting content. A minimum of 10-20 hours of new stuff to discover and at least a week of content if you want to collect/unlock everything.

Plus new bosses, new enemies, new artifact sets. And ye, it's free, you can always give it another go without losing anything. I am just a randy sperg on the internet, but Inazuma got my seal of approval and I would recommend everyone to check it out.

I wanted that new sword really bad, so of course it ends up giving me Aquila Favonia instead and I don't even have Keqing, fuck. I don't think I'm going to pull anymore until Baal drops. Anyways, Inazuma is sick and what we have is only three of the six main islands so I'm already excited for when the rest come out.

Finished the second act of Inazuma, it just sort of... ends without anything happening. Guess the budget ran out, at least it wasn't slow as hell like the first act. Now the only thing left is grind some sidequests so I can do bounties. Also need to understand how planting works.

Speaking of grind, I never had such shit luck like with the ice set. Literallly 8/9 artifacts I got today were the hydro type and I have a feeling having a water user in the party skews the rng towards him. Maybe I'll replace him with Diona as a test.

A friend of mine used all of his fragile resin (about 2000 resin in total) to farm 1 piece of the ice set. A Crit Chance crown...

Remember, it could always be worse.

nah, desire sensor is real. i have enough now to rebuild my xingqiu from the ground up if i wanted, and the ones i do get are decent to sub-par with terrible substats when upgraded.

but tbf i've only done a week's worth of resin, i have 50+ fragiles that i've stocked up that i really need to dig into some time

that's why I don't bother with that shit till I got everything else maxed to the point I'm happy with it, in the meantime I just use the stuff that drops alongside it, even if it's purple (doesn't matter much for supports anyway).

I played through that when I saw a thing that said I needed an item from an optional quest thinking it was going to be just a quick quest one and done optional overworld deal only to find out it was a long ass entire loredump style plotline with it's own designated exclusive bossfight. Took me by surprise too considering there's 0 voice acting. It's surreal because compared to other optional quests like it have dedicated voicelines.

Another quest thats less intense but still high quality I ended up just stumbling on is the quest with the amnesiac samurai that's just standing around on one of the mountains. The entire quest is just you helping him regain his memories by doing shit like getting him wine and sparring with him. His model's identical to the enemy samurai NPCS but he's not really an enemy despite being a guy thats dueled countless other swordsmen to death before you got there. Why the fuck is it that some of the best plotlines in this update have come from characters made from slightly tweaked or completely unchanged NPC models? Not that it's bad, it's just interesting. Can't really envision the characters looking any different than they do in this specific case so I can't say they chose poorly in terms of model usage.

You can really see how the shit going on with inazumas just fucking horrible. The Archon's gone mad with power, though clearly recent, the effects are fucking seen throughout the fucking region and the land itself is becoming festering toxic corruption shit in some areas. The purification quest doesnt even fucking do jack shit to the areas with the poisoned water that kills you if you so much as go within a certain radius of it or th wilted trees that rain hellfire levels of electricity on you if you walk too close to them. It does howver bring up a very interesting thing which is the "residual filth manifestations" that have been showing up lately are purely violent malice tumor type shit which is abnormal. The other interesting/fucked up shit is the fact that when they confiscate and lock up visions in the statue it literally steals their memories and emotions, and unlike the samurai guy I mentioned earlier, it's much harder if not impossible for those to return. The "arrogant sounding lady" the archon apperently speaks with sometimes mentioned in the main story dialogue is probably if not definitely the same fatui bitch thats been manipulating shit and yoinking the god power crystals.

Rambling because I meant to get some shit done before going to sleep and it was a longer process than I intended lmao. I wanted to get these thoughts out too before that so here you go.
