Finally finished Keqing's build (artifacts are below average). She doesn't have the fuckhuge numbers Hu Tao does but she's far more consistent with her damage over time and with Black Sword she's surprisingly tanky. Guess I'll continue grinding artifacts for my supports and hope the next 5 stars are more interesting.

The new Archon quest is filler but seeing Beidou and Kuzuah is nice. I have a feeling that they'll tag along most of the way into Japan land.

Genshin encounter design seem to shit the bed whenever there's two or more tanky enemies on screen. Dual Maguu Kenki has an annoying tendency to follow up each other's moves and blow up anyone with average HP. I got through it on expert, but only with a lot of abusing I-frames.

I don't mind these events where you choose how difficult the fights are, but they did it best in Energy Amplifier when they at least offered some boosts to compensate for the difficulty spikes. You could play around your team's strengths to make the encounters more reasonable.
Man I fucking hated it so much. The revival mechanic, the cryo field, literally every attack one-shotting you. Put me on tilt so bad. I think I had to crank it down to hard mode and turn a bunch of the modifiers off.
Ironically the one with 3 kenkis was actually easier

Black Sword + Kaeyas first ascension skill made him a legit self-healing unit. Also apparently a refined Black Sword is going to be really good on Ayaka, luckily I already have it at R2 so I guess for the rest of my BPs I'll just keep refining it. I would really like Mona now so that I don't have to use Xingqiu on an Ayaka permafreeze team.

Saw that build too on Genshin helpers ? Read Mona's bubble burst effect lasts as long as the target remains frozen. The build also relies on the dragon slayer book as well.

Couple of things:
1. Kazuha has potential as support and as main dps. Good with crafted weapon Iron Sting, so doesn't need a gacha weapon to be more than viable. He doesn't play exactly like the past anemo units but rather a hybrid of the current existing ones.

2. I have been keeping up on leaks and it looks like Inazuma is going to have stupid amounts of free primos floating around, but don't get too sucked in by the newer units being released. My guess right now is that Baal will be as broken as Venti/Zhongli so I would make sure to have enough to pull for her if you care about good units more than hot bitches at all.

I just hope the devs update the game to make world exploration more interesting again. Pretty much every treasure chest in the endgame is pointless besides the primos you gain. Money and upgrade materials are pretty easy to grind.

It would also be pretty nice if the game had enemy material grinding points where you can fight shitload of enemies from specific types. Like Abyss Wizards.

They should just drop unique furniture for the pot and maybe some other cosmetics.

electro support, and going how past archons are handled I fully expect it to break the game in some way or another, especially if it goes bonkers with dendro. who knows, it might even make lisa viable (as if).

for now it's not out yet if she'll show up in 1.7 (which will probably have the first part of inazuma, else they'd have to do another area to farm drops for kazuha and other inazuma chars released in 1.7) or to spearhead 1.8 which drops in september right for the first anniversary. there's rumors they want to go all out for that but that might just be wishful thinking.

I wouldn't count on ayaka, yoimiya etc to show up anytime soon, their announcements were mostly to fuck with leakers, and there is still dendro coming which will most likely have it's own free char + banner companion (probably yaoyao and baizhou, and given the money the klee banner made dendro loli will probably be the 5*).
shit's gonna be busy, yo.

that's not limited to chests, 9/10 rolls are literally trash weapon exp you'll find more of just stepping outside. same as your double compensation, you get one extra roll if you have already maxed that char, and since 9/10 rolls are shit it's a complete waste.

drops are easy to farm tho, I think now the book even jumps to the next target automatically (and with the cicin mages there are even more than it will list, so if you know those spawns you can get even more daily).

Ayaka will be the first banner of 1.7 with Yoimiya and Sayu as the 2nd. 1.8 is going to be a rerun of either Ganyu or Xiao, possibly both. And then 1.9 will be another Inazuma patch is the assumption, but that one isn't sure yet. Part of how we know this is how beta testing works with testing new units.

Dendro isn't on the horizon atm.

which is where I'd usually agree, but ayaka has been in beta test since forever, meanwhile we get chars like eula who hardly anyone knew about.

migoyo has their own schedule they seem to change constantly, that's why you have to take leaks or even their announcements with a boulder of salt if there's no confirmed date attached.

We knew about Eula, actually. She was tested. We had all the details about her before she dropped.

Ayaka was tested in the original closed beta, way back from before the game was released like Xiao. She hasn't been in any beta since then and only came back in during the testing for 1.7

didn't say no one knew, but people still expected a re-run before getting her that soon. ayaka is an inazuma char, so of course the test her again to get her ready. point is they constantly shift things around.

you also have to remember the waifu factor, if they run ayaka/yoimiya/ganyu/baal in a row you can only extract so much money out of waifufags before they throw in the towel, and that doesn't even consider sayu for the lolifags (gonna grab that klee money). makes much more sense to space that out so you can milk several paychecks over time and I doubt they gonna push 3 banners again during the anniversary when you can do it after christmas to milk the bonus. wouldn't surprise me if they throw in an albedo re-run and possible qiqi banner for people to save and get hyped up again.

I'm thinking we hang out in different areas as far as leaks go.

Nobody in the leak area I am in expected anything but Zhongli/Eula, just like its pretty clear whats going to happen in 1.7. Going forward though things can shift around, but once leaks start coming from the coming patch those are pretty solid. Chasm for example kept being expected for 1.5, then 1.6 but once the CBT for those dropped it was obvious it wasn't coming anymore. The dataminers/leakers are pretty good about what they do so its pretty clear what is going on.

Right now we know 1.7 is going to the first few islands of Inazuma w/ Ayaka/Yoimiya/Sayu running. 1.8 is more of a guess as is anything coming after.

maybe, it's mostly speculation anyway till we get the official announcement.
in retrospect I should've worded it differently. they won't put inazuma chars indefinitely on hold when we finally get there, but yoimiya looks like a filler char that might go with 1.8 in september instead of ayaka/yoimiya back to back, it is the anniversary patch after all and a ganyu re-run seems too soon and wouldn't really make sense in that context. same way a re-run won't be in CBT to leak since that char is already finished.

EDIT: about the chasm thing, that's one of the things I mean with mihoyo moving things around, it would've made sense for 1.4 or 1.5, having a new area every second/third patch and "finish" liyue, and finally get dendro out the door to design and balance upcoming chars with it in mind. the more stuff they release inbetween the more headaches it will cause because they can't nerf chars people paid money for without causing a PR clusterfuck (and chinks being chinks already). and at this point who cares about the chasm when we're knee-deep in inazuma, while trying to make the game fit on phones?

1. We know Yoimiya and Ayaka are both on the beta atm, they have never tested a unit early and when there is a rerun going on there isn't a unit present to be tested. Thats how we knew Childe would run with Venti. Its also usually pretty easy to predict who the rerun is because they run an event or quest with them centered around the character like they did with both Venti and Klee, and then Zhongli got the introduction of his boss. Childe is the exception, but he ran with Rosaria. Both waifus being tested means they will run in 1.7.

2. The big reason chasm matters at all is that its heavily linked to the dendro characters. Baizhu, the pharmacy guy that Qiqi "works" for had a storyline that disappeared centered around there and he was the first 5 star dendro character. The whole thing disappeared though which is why dendro is completely up in the air and a bit confusing. So, chasm matters because dendro has to be released at some point.

The thing though is that we do know when things get moved around before it really does. The only change that I think happened super late on the beta was the big changes to Zhongli, which happened around a week before he dropped and remain the most confusing thing this company has done which is saying something.

EDIT: Forgot to add something earlier, was actually looking at something and thought I'd share it here. 1.7 is not going to be the full Inazuma. It'll be 3-4 islands with the tree you level capped at how high you can get it instead of letting you max it. The area is bigger than that but they're only doing a partial release for now. Also 2 new artifact sets. Can add info about those if anyone wants.

I don't even know what dendro will be for in game. Hydro is already the healing element, geo defence and ameno is dodge. The few ameno enemies seem to make traps, but it's not really feasible for the player to do against boss enemies.
Likewise Chasm seemed to be an area only to end up as a shitty boss arena.

Anyways, I hope the game will start having 2 simultaneous event flags because it takes forever to get a specific character you missed.

Poison status(?) Or more severe debuffing

So, we already know that Dendro and Pyro leads to a heavy burning DoT.

I guess some elemental combinations could lead to reduced elemental resistance, or extra damage, the usual stuff.
I would love to see some form of life-leech/lifesteal so I don't need to always bring a healer/support with me.

Dendro has a grassy theme to it, no?

OP stuff like binding mobs/bosses and immobilizing, ripping pyro defences and absorbing hydro to slow the target further may be a possibility.

Curious to see how it reacts to electro and cyro. Not everything has to work in harmony.

Noice ideas. How about Earth and Dendro to immobilize enemies (spawn some vines to hold the them) or ground flying enemies. I hate those water birds and flying insect thingies.
