Either they economy hit the shitter or a war breaks out that will get each country to ban games from the other. Probably not enough to kill the big games.

Edit 3: logged into genshin, did a 10 pull and got C3 Mona. Well Durin is guaranteed now and I am never gonna pull in weapons banner ever again so....

You know how Nod-Krai replaced Weekly Reputation Quests (Chores you do every week to slowly get rewards ending with you getting the new glider) with Selenic Chronicles (Cutscenes about Columbina you have to watch every week to slowly get rewards and ends with you getting the new glider)

Turns out if you start or finish the new AQ your progress in Selenic Chronicles is completely paused and cannot be progressed until you finish the next AQ in the next patch.

It's cause Columbina goes away at the end of the AQ. Kinda funny since when Childe was sent to prison or in the Primordial Sea during Fontaine, you could still see him in the Cat's Tail playing TCG but for this one they removed a feature for a whole patch just to keep the story straight.

God damn it Mihoyo, stop auto starting quests the second you appear in an area. Logged in next to Nod-Krai Katherine and it started the AQ automatically. Didn't mind that much because it was about 2-3 minutes of dialogue at most (unlike the tards on reddit who start crying the second words appear on screen), but yeah I'm now locked out of the Selenic Chronicles thing when it reset this morning for me. Paralogism was fucking perfect where it had the giant glowing "Start AQ" interact point, why didn't you stick with it in later patches?

I'm locked out because I always log out in front of Katherine in Nod-Krai and the fucking quest just auto-started for me after maintenance. Such a dumb system, fuck you Hoyo. I was already 2 weeks behind and now that.

Other than that, with comparatively little whaling I got all I wanted from this banner: Venti's C1, Durin C1, both signatures, and Faruzan is finally at C6. Now I'll have to save, my primo stock is depleted, but at least I'm probably not going to pull anyone until Sandrone anyway.
 
Maybe it's because I haven't caught any of the livestreams, so imagine my shock when I boot up 6.2 for the first time to see that ONCE AGAIN there is no new area to explore, and this version is just AQ + event. Goddammit, after Natlan being such a fucking shit show, I was actually really happy with how Nod-Krai started, but now they're really committing to 6.x being a fucking filler year.
 
The new beta has started, there is a lot to absorb between Columbina, Zibai (the "horse adeptus" that was leaked as verka support) and Iluga, another lantern keeper. I'll try to sumarize.

>Columbina

Columbina is an hp scaling hydro catalyst (bold) and the moon maiden. The good news is that columbina ENABLES ALL LUNAR REACTIONS. The bad news is that this means there is only 3 lunar reactions, lunar charge, lunar bloom and lunar cristalize.

Her skill gives an aura that aplies hydro around the player for 25s and her burst buffs lunar reactions. Passives give her free 8 x 3 crit rate, some lunar bonus and make her burst enhance lunar reactions (faster LC, more dew, more cristal attack).

That's uh, kinda of it. She is a hydro subdps who enables lunar and buffs lunar. She should be a huge improvement compared to Aino (who does no damage) but she ain't that beating furina in normal teams that want dmg bonus. Remember that the lunar reactions themselves aren't that great, it's the dps that are fueled by them.

Zibai is al unar cristalize main dps. Lunar cristalize is LOCKED TO HYDRO + GEO and spawns 3 geo constructs that attack enemies insread of making crystals. So yeah, after 5 years of geo sucking, they invented "yellow bloom". It scales with EM.

Her skill is a a geo infusion, do enough lunar cristalize and she charges her bar, then do skill and she does direct lunar charge dmg that scales with defense and EM bonus. So she plays like Flins but you press skill instead of burst. Her burst is a big hit like nefer's but does lunar dmg.

Fun fact, leakers hyped her as varka anemo support for a loooong time. I can kinda see why as her design screams anemo.

Iluga is a 4* geo lunar cristalize support. He buffs EM, crit and gives additional damage to L Crist. damage. Since there is only one dps who does this damage in the game, he is made for zibai and nothing else.


Anyways, i cleared theater wit hdurin. Had to rewind once because i was retarded and picked diluc over arle near the end. I forgot how i much hated consecrated beasts, better bring your A team for the arcana missions, both are single target.

I am really glad the monstat buff quests are VERY short. You basically meet them, talk a little and fight some monsters. Razor's quest is a bit longer with more fights and fischl has a bit more talking but that's it. Durin's might be the shortest yet features rhinedotir.

And i'm afraid some people about to be pretty upset cause Durin is very clearly meant to not be an adult. He's repeatedly referred as "child" through his witch buff quest and "young boy" in his own profile stories. His voice lines say he cant drink wine "yet" and he hates veggies. They want the "raising my husband son" crowd (is the the opposite of the "daughterwife" fetish?).

Haven't finished him but i find him "balanced" so far. Escoffeir must've spoiled me cause i see this kid do 11k and think it's low. But he does double as a minor shreder for 5 and has good AoE unlike her. I can tell hoyo was very calculated with his multipliers to not hard powercreep mavuika and xiangling and he has some annoyances i'll say later. After he's done i'll try more teams, wish i had albedo.

First of all, that's a weirdly specific denial. Second of all, that is NOT what he says lol. He says "Do you think i'm getting more mature? *sigh* urgh, i mean, i am not a little kid anymore, it's time i act like it. Besides, i don't want to get stuck in the past".

The real voiced line paints a much different picture where it sounds like traveler replied with "NOPE, you're a kid". Smells like lolcalizers invading the script...

Is exactly true. You don't care about the raw Lunar EC damage. Most of Lunar EC damage comes from Flins and Ineffa's skills that says "this counts as Lunar EC damage"

But the average player isn't gonna know that that. They'll see wow Columbina will let me have access to all the new fancy font reactions without pulling separate characters. She's such a steal. A reminder that this is the majority of the playerbase and the paying customers. If you’re actually thinking about your pulls and planning if you can actually use the new characters then you're in the minority.

Same with Lunar Bloom. All it does is give a resource that Nefer consumes. Except Columbina can consume it too to bait casuals into thinking Nefer-less Lunar Bloom teams are worth it.

It's a real thing, a mix of grooming fetish and unironic "i failed at life and this is the closest thing i get to raise a child" that can be played straight and wholesome wholesome but is clearly targeted at a certain crowd.

You'll see it very often in shitty isekais where the mc gets a "daughter harem" of slave girls he saved and starts raising and may or may not marry them, but we must not forget that women can be pedos too.

It originates in the Tale of Genji, considered one of the first novels ever written by Murasaki Shikibu (a married noble woman). I can't recall exactly who does this in the novel but it does happen

It can also be played for psychological horror as seen in Happy Sugar Life where the female pedo kidnapping and grooming a 6 year old is clearly batshit and by proxy, the child becomes batshit too.

Unfortunately not enough shows do this.

Because on the other side of the coin there's the one where it's supposed to be cute and wholesome like WataTen where it's some neet loser but grown ass adult getting attracted to her 12 year old sister's classmate. Unfortunately that's played for laughs and "wholesomeness".

I think I need to go back to watching more stuff like Monster and Golden Kamui.

Anyway no luck in any of my pulls except for getting Chisa in WuWa finally. I won't pull for her weapon. She can use a shitty 3* one until the day I get the 5* one from standard or Jiyan gets a rerun so I can get his weapon.
