So I said fuck it, spent 20 wishes on general and got Diluc (and bought Bennet from the store). To be honest I'd rather have had had another five star since I already specced a lot into Hu Tao, but having Chinese Fantasy Batman has its own charm. But looking at the character comparison I guess he can still be pretty good as a pure physical character (especially with the new artifact set), also it will be nice to have a dps that doesn't try to kill itself constantly.

Yeah really depends on the support. Like Barbara and Diona? You can leave at like 60 if you want, all you need to do is stack the fuck out of HP/Healing Bonus/Energy Recharge on them.
Xingqiu though? I think you would want him like 70-80, he gets a lot of chip off his burst and skill especially at C4 (or w/e con it is that boosts his skill while raincutter is activated). Support DPS in general is worth ascending
I usually go for all the guaranteed power boosts before I start going back to the artifact mines. Like level 80 8/8/8 talents level 90 weapon, THEN I start dumping resin into artifacts because I know its gonna take the longest.
And yeah for your main DPS, maybe even your most valued supports, final ascension is worth it so you can get their final stat upgrade + level talents higher than 8. I'm planning on eventually doing final ascension on my Xingqiu and Venti.
I usually keep them at 6, I rather save the weekly drops for the chars I gonna play long term and then go all in (although with 1.5 you can transform them in limited capacity). I rather do a deterministic grind like weapons/chars/talents with some positive outliers like a purple/gold drop than the shitty artifact grind where the baseline is "you get dogshit and you gonna enjoy it, now try again".

although slowly trying to work through my artifacts to make space I noticed the thing that also annoys the fuck out of me is the the whole management aspect of it - that will probably improve once your trash is lvl20 and you can just pump it in a new artifact, and if that's trash you just keep going, but seeing at a glance if shit is worth is annoying as fuck. doesn't help that some artifacts like instructor only exist up to purple, so you can't even simply dump everything below gold into artifacts and have to go through several hundred pieces by hand (I still use it on sucrose for example since her whole point is to pump EM for the team), difference between a purple/gold sand is only 48 EM, and while you can probably get that and more from gold artifacts via substats etc, you'd still loose the 200 EM from the set itself - and since I have that shit already lying around I might as well use it instead if trying to get a proper VV.
even for DD stuff you can still use gladiator, a good rolled set will make up for most set boni if it has shit stats, and it serves a nice foundation to plug any possible non-shit domain piece you find. lvl80 beidou with talents at 6 and protoype greatword already crushes shit left and right, don't wanna imagine how it would be on 89 with talents at 9 (and possible 5* sword, but fuck rolling on that banner).

also it will be nice to have a dps that doesn't try to kill itself constantly.
to properly play a diluc you need to ungabunga shit with tunnel vision so hard you outright delete yourself.

Found this, and while I’m 50/50 on if its a leak or not, considering the entirety of Patch 1.5 leaked before releasing I’d
believe they’d start doing costumes

Well shit, they actually look really cute. I'm glad that they're going the cosmetic costume route and not "entirely new character that's actually the same character you already have but you need to roll this shit gain to get it" that every other gacha game does (at least I'm optimistically presuming).

They’re thankfully labelled as Costumes, so best case we’ll just need to clear a quest to unlock them, probably get a new Key Item. Middle of the road, we have to dump some mats into unlocking them.

Worst case and we have to roll, at least Genshin’s Gacha is fairly generous? I’m just wondering if they’ll let us unlock costumes for characters we don’t have, or if they’re retarded.

However the Honkai games handle their costumes will probably be the method, otherwise a resource dump or a roll. Maybe a banner for housing stuff and costumes, people would still spend money for it. I also recommitted to getting C2 Yanfei and now I'm sitting around 30 wishes on the banner now, which I think is pretty good because I ended up with a 4* every six or so wishes. Now I'm actually going to bow out of the banners for a bit.

Wanted to say that the housing system is pretty alright, lots of neat caves and mountains you can make with the terrain stuff. Even more alright is the shop for it because of the temporary resin, money, books and the other stuff I can't remember. If you haven't gotten in to it yet I would urge you to do so, but follow the boring meta. Build new recipes for the experience and when you run out of that just keep building carved courtyard fences and pine folding screens to amass wealth and have the ultimate bitcoin mining experience.

Fuck me I just discovered condensed resin. Such a massive time saver, though it's only now that I seriously start going after artifact domains (the exp/money is at least a good way to grind monster drops).

Amos' Bow on Ganyu is extremely fucking busted. It spooked me when I was spending my free blue fates yesterday and while I only have enough mats to take it to lvl 70 right now, it can match the DPS I had with my lvl 90 Blackcliff Warbow. It almost feels like I'm cheating.

bro what the fuck have you never used the crafting table

Yeah Ganyu is busted with just an R1 Prototype Crescent, let alone a 5* weapon basically tailored to her kit

Any tips for Azhada ? My teams are melee oriented and the few tries feels like a long fight, longer than the 3 other weekly bosses combined. Zhongli still ain't ready yet.

Feels Ganyu can easily make fun of it though. Don't have her yet.

it's probably straight buy for crystals (or the whatever the honkai equivalent is), apparently cosmetic stuff are not allowed behind rng, but no idea how legit that is.
good for those that saved them from the welkin pass.

also summer style/beach wear does absolutely nothing for me. I get it's good bait for a lot of people, but if mihoyo wants my money they need to put in some proper armors or styles that look more realistic. female mc being a sword fighter in a dress triggered my from day one (enough that I considered re-rolling).

it's pretty nice in bridging the gap between being casual enough but still rewarding that everyone wants to do it without becoming tedious. worst case it will looks like a junkyard with dozens of pine walls, but whatever works.

ganyu will make it easy for being range alone, there's a reason I bring fischl as main everywhere. melee needs to be even more aware of the move patterns, and azhada has some nasty ones with pretty much no safe zone, so it comes down to choosing the easiest to dodge. would say side but that's hard to miss, and not sure if the range is shorter.

plus you want to bring shields even more than usual for the mechanic, or get really good at not getting hit. alternative would be to try to cleanse it, but not sure if that works.
even a lowlvl zonghli will probably make it a lot easier, just dump some spare HP artifacts on him and use him as shieldbot. noelle could work too, but her cooldown might be too high, so maybe alternate it with diona (also helps with 2 cryo for more crit), however non-geo can get fucked over by the elementals the boss is running, this week it was pyro and something else for me (dunno if it's global).

or you could level barb to fool the tards from reddit (because MUH LEVEL) and just autoattack for heal support in coop.

Ganyu basically makes anything in Genshin into easy mode at the moment, but basically any archer lowers Azhada’s general difficulty.

With Melee, your choices are basically git gud at learning when to dash for invulnerability frames, or just say fuck it and cheese it with Noelle

only for shield, geo is a shit idea (assuming it has the same resistance as other vishaps).
Oh it’s entirely for the one button shield, but it’s easier than hoping the Shield Gems or whatever they’re actually named don’t spawn underneath the big fucker.

i'm pretty happy i got good artifacts for zhongli in only one day's worth of farming, archaic petra is easier to get in comparison with crimson witch, which i still don't have a single good 5* for even after a week

I dont think I even had to farm for Zhongli, I was stuck in the petra domain for so long trying to get stuff for Ningguang I ended up having some good pieces for him.
Helps that HP is both useful for him and has one of the highest likelihoods out of all substats (I dont have the exact breakdown on hand but iirc HP/DEF are most common, then ATK, then Crit, then EM )
And now I am back in the crimson mines finally trying to get rid of my Diluc's garbage artifacts
Personally I find the Petra domain way more fucking annoying to farm than Crimson but I guess it depends on your team. It was downright painful before I built Ningguang, I actually had to depend on co-op a lot. But now I have a busted-ass Bennet with HP/Healing artifacts that can just outheal the bolts lol

Never had much luck with artifacts, at least it is better than TF set. That one is just terrible with a week resin wasted on DEF%, FDEF and FHP.
Took several days fully dedicating to AP. Doesn't help RB appears 70% of the time as well.

Rates in my world are wack. While Crit is often as ER/EM, they often appear on artifacts with wrong main stats. Get HP% ? Here is EM ! FDEF is there too, say HI.

For CW, I threw half a month at it. sword boy and spear gorl got good headpieces ( i think) but no good sands. CW fire goblet is rare, and none of the DPS can use it due to its largest substat ER and both already have too much ER :story:

Yea, though with Pale Flame set out, I can try farming Fischl's DPS set while waiting Ganyu. Venti doesn't work well against it, it seems.
Still going to try soloing it until I beat the suck out of my fingers.
