The amount of Simulated Universe grinding I had to do in order to get his dumb ass.

Sorry, Ratio. I'll probably get you when you get dumped in the dupe store. You'll be a nice trophy.

Edit: @Clancee If it helps, I don't either. Usually, my priority is to get characters first because muh collection. The only exceptions were WuWa, where I got Brant's signature weapon because I wasn't interested in Changli, and I had no interest in the following banner at all. Actually two banners since I only got the flower thot.

And one W-Engine in ZZZ because there's actually quite a lot to do. Hopefully, I'll get Lighter's W-engine because I want to watch his scarf glow.

WuWa 2.4 leaks,
Few important things, two new echo sets. One for Cartethyia and one for Lupa.
New aero set: 2pc - 10% aero damage, 5pc - applying aero erosion, cr.rate increases by 10% and aero damage increases by 30% for 10 sec.
New fusion set: 2pc - 10% fusion damage, 5pc - casting Liberation increases team's fusion damage by 15% and Liberation damage by 20% for 30 sec.
All those daily stamina farming tacet fields and overworld echoes grinding for Cartethyia. So doing rogue-like dungeon for Unborn Echo boxes to prefarm instead, they should be update with new echo set next patch. Finish the first boss, reset and run again.

Carte and her sig weapon 2nd stat scale with HP. Static mist (buff ATK on outro) becomes even less optimal for Cia than her sig weapon (buff Aero damage). Also, it's gonna be harder to min-max crit stats for Carte.

Reminder Carte's three swords: Virtue, Discord and Divinity. (Haultir, Hognis and Tyrvine).
Carte's forte and carte's basic attacks. Bunch of machine translate so special sword effects are mismatch heavily to actual in game translation.
I just assume that virtue is "hearts of human" and discord is " alien" or "heterodox" in translation. Spoiler for Carte kit in my wording, kinda long.

1) Carte's basic attacks. Each special sword can only exist one version of themselves.
Normal attack string is up to 4 and damage is considered as aero erosion. After 4th strike, applying 2 stacks of aero erosion and summoning Sword of Divine Authority.

Charged attack is considered as normal attack damage and aero erosion, applies 2 stacks of aero erosion and Sword of Alien authority.
Plunging attack is considered as aero erosion and consumes all the swords summoned on the field. Damage and AOE of plunging attack are enhanced basing on amount of swords consumed and gain additional effects:
Hearts of human authority - Will of divine authority - Power of alien authority.

2) Forte
Carte uses Liberation to turn into Fleur and reduces her HP to 50%. If her HP is already 50% and below, no health cost.

Fleur (manifestation) state lasts for 12 seconds and gains 60% aero damage. Attacking targets increases her Determination (Fleur's forte bar), if Determination is at 120 (maximum), using Fleur's Liberation - she does the giant sword beam (Roaring Tidal stormblade). Using roaring tidal stormblade will restore 70% max HP and deal aero damage, hitting all target will clear all aero erosion stack on enemies. Each aero erosion stack increases Roaring tidal damage taken by 20% and up to 5 aero erosion stacks.
If Determination is below 120, she transforms back to Carte instead with Fleur's Liberation. During 12 sec of manifestation, if Carte transforms to Fleur again, no resonance energy is required for Liberation.
Both transformation can be executed in mid-air.

In Fleur and manifestation state and along with the additional effects. Additional effects also end after manifestation ends.
Hearts of human rights: 4th hit of normal attack summons a force field that slows enemies in range.
Will of divine rights: triggering interval of aero erosion is reduced by 50% and damage taken from aero erosion is increased by 50%.
Bad translation, Power of heterodox rights: 4th hit of normal attack, 3rd hit of aerial (mid-air) attack and Fleur resonance skill will trigger Aero erosion. After triggering, aero erosion stack is reduced by one. ??????????
This reads more like detonate all possible aero erosion stacks and reduces it to one.

3) extras:
Fluer can walk on water but consumes her stamina. Can't use grappling hook. Using any other device will transform back to Carte.

Tribe Nine end of service announcement, will be terminated on Nov 27th, 2025. Idk why the official website loads really slow by the time of this post. Can't read any further information about their plan til then beside no Chapter 4.

I expected this would happen, not even cause they made no money last month but because they didn't advertise the incoming character and he literally did not get a banner.

I didn't mention here but maid girl banner ended and there was no limited banner in the game for what, 1 or 2 days? No response on twitter at all. I wanted to believe the devs are shit at marketing but the only logical explanation was that they gave up and EoS was imminent. Woke up today and went straight to my phone to see this.

It's a real shame and i'll still stand that tribe nine was a good game with the only gacha story i never skipped a line because there were actual tangible stakes. It's definitely not polished as ZZZ and even other action gachas out there but it got me fully addicted for 2 weeks so it must have done something right.

(farming enemy cards is fun and worth it. The purple card is OP even. Got a double drop here.)

That being said, the developers made too many awful decisions. The internet will say it died because it was shit, ugly and greedy but it's more complicated than that.

The main reason is because the director absolutely does not know how to make a gacha game. Reading his interviews, he's suicidally honest and admits having no experience with gacha games. Says stuff like "I didnt make dailies give gems because i didn't want players to feel bad for not logging that day" and i can't tell if the man is trolling, naive or retarded. Even the rates in hindsight feels like they didnt think about it at all beyond "people like hoyo gacha, lets do hoyo rates". He says there is no stamina so players can play at their own pace and catch up with new content in a few days if they want.

This is terrible for a live service game that must FOMO players into logging everyday and pad out content. Like i said once in this thread, Tribe Nine released content way too slow for a modern gacha. It got a significant 2 week delay to 1.1 and from 1.1 to 1.2 it had 3 banners planned across 3 months. This is a game where you can finish an entire city story in 4-6 hours. It should've been a city per month.

(me posing while my friends deal with it)

This means if you're insane like me you'll play like a maniac and then run out of things to do and feel bummed and burned out. The only true timegate was money and everyone on the subreddit hated it but i disagreed cause chests respawn and the problem would solve itself when more content released.

Then the devs "listened to feedback" and made domains give money and card fuel. Then then changed PAR (equipment optimizer) from 10 to 25 uses and limited it to 3*s. Then they changed the endgame to be a repeatable linear hallway and you get potentially 32 chests at the end. This fucked the game further as there is no real time gate and you can farm top gear too fast now. I'm simply too stacked in money and gear to care about anything but dailies.

But the worst was the change to pity and currency plus the refunds. The game is simply too generous that you don't need to spend money to get anything. I have every limited unit, two limited cards (both dropped early) and almost 200 stashed. I only bought the monthly vip twice (10 dollars) and that gives premium currency to buy the battle pass (do they hate money?).

This isn't how you make money with a gacha game. It should never have been a gacha game. Maybe it wouldn't sell, but at least it wouldn't disappear forever.

Another thing is that the game had, ironically, too much wasted effort on some things. One of the characters has a full kit ingame but isn't playable because he canonically dies in the tutorial. THEY MADE A FULL CHARACTER JUST SO HE CAN DIE. And another boss has a full unique boss moveset that you only fight once in a scripted unlosable fight. Are they insane? This is a gacha, you must milk that content forever!

Rest in piece tribe nine. You did a lot of things wrong but you tried your best and it was good while it lasted.

It's damn flashy, but still gorgeous

so I got back into Genshin for the first time in ages because I saw the new quest was going back to mondstadt and dealing with characters I'm actually attached to, and while I'm still way back in the Sumeru questline I saw there was a quickstart option to jump straight to this

then I play the first cutscene and find out Kaeya's voiceless because of the strike, I'm going to fucking kill myself

Well it sounds pretty neat that a good hearted game dev was able to become a director, just sad that it had to be a live service game where the lights have to be kept on rather than a one and done box purchase game. Or a subscription game. Interesting about him seeming not to know about the rates. How many hundreds of millions of dollars are being poured into the marketing of these gacha games? You would think for that amount of money spent, it would be trivial to hire one guy or an economist or a marketing firm to figure out what the other gachas did, what the controversies on their gacha systems were, do some math and calculations and present some different rates or schemes for the director to peruse. Apparently the Sakura Wars Kakumei gacha had a similar issue where their rates were apparently very generous (like 2% instead 0.8%) which led to F2P being able to acquire all of the characters they want and never needing to spend, and then that game got shuttered within months. Though apparently that game had other issues going against it such as the game being technically behind the curve compared to contemporary F2P games (Genshin launched that same year).

I think the game had a very troubled devolopment and marketing because it wasn't intended to be gacha. AFAIK the game was announced FEB 2020 and while in SET 2021 it was announced to be smartphone game, i cannot find any single mention of it being gacha, only that it's baseball themed death game. Everyone though it would be a paid game. Even in the gameplay trailer reveal 11 months ago it never said it was gacha, only that it was going to be free to play, with people in the comments being surprised. It took until the first beta 9 months ago for people to realize it was gacha. There is no way it was originally planned as gacha.

You know what game released in 2020? That one. In the title of this thread.

This obviously hurted the marketing but the game's marketing is underrated in how terrible it was. For some reason the devs specifically sponsored a lot of female v-tubers and i find that retarded. V-tuber fans will spend money on v-tubers and forget what they play a day later. It should've targeted the action JRPG crowd instead. Another is how the trailers did not explain what the game is about, it was ONLY the protagonist fighting something and a little bit of baseball. They made 2 youtube channels and 2 twitter accounts and failed to upload trailers on time.

Genshin had a great reveal trailer and it didn't need too much besides "Breath of the waifu", a premise that sells itself.

I want to believe the executives pointed a gun at the devs and forced them to twist tribe nine into a gacha to chase after genshin's sucess and they had no idea how to do it. And then ZZZ released and made their work look like shit too.

Even now, the way the game announces End of Service is so cold and cynical. Shop is closed but the ninja character is fully playable in the game as a guest and they cancelled his banner. All future content is cancelled. The game is simply frozen. They could at least, ya know, rerun all banners and give everyone 200 rolls or something, a lot of gachas do that before they die. It's like they already fired the devs and there is only one guy left waiting to turn off the servers.
