New Mondstadt quest was cool. I'm glad that at least Eula's VA is back (she was also voiced during this year's Lantern Rite for the side stuff). That's our Queen.

From what people are saying, most of the characters in the new event are voiced, even some that weren't voiced a couple versions ago. Navia, Neuvillette, and Wriothesley are the big ones; they either haven't shown up post-strike, or were muted. Only character not voiced is Charlotte. Rate me optimistic, but maybe more voice actors are starting to break away from the collective work refusal? Here's hoping, man.

This is starting to happen now that Hoyo has started recasting, the VA for Venti has pretty much gone "fuck SAG" and rushed the record their lines for the 5.6 AQ, and going by their latest update we're just waiting on Hoyo to patch the lines in.

The one everyone is waiting for is Paimon but due to Genshin's development speed I suspect a good chunk of the 6.x AQ has already been recorded, so they are either going to aim to recast by 7.0, or try and do a rush job in time for 6.0.

Guys, I have a question. Running around with Escoffier I've noticed some sort of bright blue thing right above her ass. It appears to be some symbol, but I couldn't find a way to look at it clearly. Does anybody knows what is it or why did devs put it there?

I played escoffier story quest and i dont know if i hate or love her voice acting. In other languagues she sounds hypersweet and cutesy but in english she sounds older and brash as hell, with this dash of britbong accent ("For wha?"). Her introduction is yelling at a kid for messing up a dish and it's like at least the english direction wanted her to gordon ramsey it up, and the fanbase will definitely flanderize her as such.

Used 10 fragile resins and got her to 90 2/9/8 for now and her skill is doing 12k solo. I'll definitely crown it. But while farming her boss for real i realize her group heal isn't that great, which i consider a weakness now. Yeah, it should be enough to keep most teams alive but 8k per burst is not enough to keep my furina with 40k hp full, on top of real energy issues not letting me burst every rotation. Her ticks are also tied to passive 1 meaning they don't benefit from leveling the burst and therefore don't scale well.

She's still really strong and i dont regret rolling her but she has flaws. One minor problem is that i didn't know she ascended with crit so now she overcaps with cryo resonance... oh well...

The buffs for the incoming characters leaked too.

Does this mean the ult is AoE now? If the skill becomes blast too she'll become top tier for AS

+100% taunt is not really a lot on practice but it's nice.

This might not sound that insane but it basically doubles her detonations. Kinda lame tho.

Changing jingliu to HP scaling is kinda extreme as she loses atk buffer synergy like tingyun/robin/huohuo so you'll have to change her comps.

They'll also add relics tailor made for Phainon (get large atk% boost during ultimate after receiving 2 buffs, indicating he's a hyper carry) and hyacine (when memosprite heals, increase team speed and crit dmg).

AFAIK therta is very popular and meta so i think she did well. The conspiracy theory i'm seeing online is that Phainon will work like physical trailblazer where his ultimate can chose between single or blast, coupled with Saber (destruction) and Archer (hunt) releasing on same version we'll see a push towards single/blast meta in 3.4 where Therta won't be optimal and aglaea will be better so they're rerolling her before that.

Sounds kinda cynical to me lol but who knows.

These are the effects as of the latest beta, I think:

Warrior Goddess of Sun and Thunder

2-Pc: Increases SPD by 6%.
4-Pc: When the wearer and their memosprite provide healing to ally targets aside from themselves, the wearer gains "Gentle Rain," which can be triggered up to 1 time per turn, lasting for 2 turn(s). While the wearer has "Gentle Rain," increases their SPD by 6% and all allies' CRIT DMG by 15%. This effect cannot be stacked.

2-Pc: Increases CRIT DMG by 16%.
4-Pc: When the wearer becomes the target of another ally target's ability, gains 1 stack of "Help," stacking up to 2 time(s). If there are 2 stack(s) of "Help" when the wearer uses their Ultimate, consumes all "Help" to increase the wearer's ATK by 48% for 1 turn(s).

First set sounds BiS for Hyacine. That set could also replace the old healer one but the line about the memosprite makes me thing it's not gonna work with other healers.

I'm guessing the second set will be for Phainon. By the looks of it, it seems like it's meant to work on single skill buff?

Phainon is allegedly "acheron but for harmony" where his passive requires him to receive direct individual buffs and 90% of his damage is going to come from his big nuke ultimate that lets you pick between single or blast (or aoe??). This means phainon heavily wants energy batteries and action advancers like sunday.

His set works in a way that Sunday can give Phainon 2 direct buffs at once (skill+ult) so the relic gives him +48% attack next time he ults. Some leakers say Cyrene will he a harmony that gives extra turn instead of action advance and will be phainon BiS.

If this is true he'll probably rerun with sunday.

He'd be more like the jiaoqiu to acheron. And turns out he IS "harmony acheron". I was wrong about batteries, he doenst even have normal energy. His ult state increases buff duration for 1 turn.

This mean sunday ult battery is wasted on him lol. He's still the best for now but it's clear a better dedicated support will release later. Kinda hilarious to see the lenghts they go to limit sunday and character specific synergies lol. Unironically very complex and out EVIL game design.

And for something unrelated but promising, 5.7 will allegedly start a new Endgame mode for genshin except it's coop.



The unknown reward is theorized to be a "weapon skin" (unclear). If primogems are only on lower difficulty and it's not limited to whales then this has potential to be an actually fun endgame mode and being more resin efficient for artifact farming is great (edit: it actually isn't 60 for 3 is same ratio rip), even if 1200 resin in 10 days is too much imo (sometimes you want to take a break).

If this is permanent i can only pray it doesn't become thrash after one year of nonstop hp bloat and some new reward exclusive to perfecting max difficulty (like elixir in the next theater).

I did this final main story quest in genshin and boy do i hate it so i'm gonna vent a bit. It feels like the ultimate culmination of everything wrong with locking lore in limited events. It's like hoyo originally made this quest as a limited event but realized they need to end Albedo's plotline NOW and forced it into archon quest. It's a rushed mix of disconnected plots. I guess this is what they meant when they said "We've been too slow with story and we need to tie loose ends before schneznaya".

Remember Albedo's doppelganger trying to replace him? The one where albedo describes as "The nasty abandoned projected. If we switched places... I would've done the same as him"? Turns out he died. Offscreen. Albedo killed him right after that cutscene because he was evil. Albedo says he wasn't a "person" so he doesn't care anyway. No one cares. Fuck that arc.

And i must say, this quest isn't even good at tying loose ends because beginners will not get it at all. If you started in 5.0 or later and didn't do Albedo, you probably have no idea who is Albedo, much less Alice, Gold, hexerkiel, Durin and mini-durin.

In fact, i have no idea either! Who the fuck is mini-durin?? Where did this creature come from?? Why does it talk?? What does paimon mean "oh nice it's mini-durin" and leaves at that? I didn't play the 4.8 event so why do i have to google that he is a mini copy of durin (?) from an alice's toyland simulation (?) who befriends and stays with wanderer (?) at the end of the event?

And i guess it's on me but for some reason i thought Alice was mona's master but it's barbeloth who is introduced on this quest out of nowhere and leaves. And then hoyo has to gall to never explicitly say that but be cheeky and keep keep mentinioning "my stufdent". It's too late for this!

And the entire windbloom festival and boss were pointless! The festival begins and you instantly go to Albedo's trial and then the questends and you get the big fireworks cutscene, when we never got to see the festival. It's like the festival was originally going to be another event but THERE WAS NO TIME so it simply happened offscreen during this quest because it needs to happen every year. Aren't you glad monstat got "focus" again?

The boss is completely out of place. Reminder that the only weekly bosses you get in archon quests are literally the main story threats. Dvalin, Childe, Signora, Mech-Scara, Whale and yog sothoth. The chess duo is some filler bullshit you only fight because Alice randomly wanted to test albedo as a joke. Traveler didnt need to be here and they will never be mentioend again. I'm 99% sure this boss was intended to appear much later in someone's character quest but they throw it in because "it's been 3 versions since last one, there is no time".

tl;dr: Terrible and rushed conclusion to albedo's arc that requires playing multiple events to understand.
