Giving a supply of free shit is how they retain players. Other mobile games set the tradition to give out something more substantial on anniversaries. However, this livestream was about patch 2.1, not anniversary, which will be almost a month after, so it's likely there's gonna be more. That is true, I'm just not expecting much when Genshin is easily their biggest paypig and gachatards are rarely happy with free things and start raging when they see people who play less than they do have better luck.
