This guy gets it. I doubt anyone who plays this are actual gamers who have taste based on entertainment value and monetary value but are """gamers""" who want to be a part of a social crowd that thinks grinding for an Adventurer Rank is peak game design.
I think it says more about the overall state of the game industry. Groundwork for this was put by the western companies that put same kind of monetisation into their games. Genshin and other stuff like this wouldn't fly otherwise. And that became possible because of paid horse armor thanks, Todd.

Now, Genshin is kinda the same grindslog as any ubisoft-like open world game. But it has a pretty anime wrapping, none of these hardcore realistic graphics to empathise serious plots, no non-binary vikingx and all that. Also, it doesn't have a downpayment of 60+ bux from the get-go.

Gotta love how they never realize people don't hate the fandom because there's gay people in it. People hate the fandom because it has a group of retards who won't shut up about a ship that's basically this game's version of Bumblebee nowadays.

Mobile games are pretty low on the gaming totem pole. Which is to be expected as they were initially, and to some extent still are, made to be on-the-go time killers hence why some of the first few mobile games were stuff like Brick Breaker.

With that said, I think I'm one of the few people here who would argue that mobile players are "gamers". Like it or not, mobile games are still games you play regardless of the quality of a lot them recently. Although, they definitely shouldn't strive to be up there with console or PC games.

"Gamer" is such a retarded term and I'm surprised there are people who use that word unironically. Especially in this case when it's used for a "no true Scotsman" statement.

At the end of the day, these are video games we're talking about here and all this venom being spewed at mobile players is just a more autistic version of the console wars.

what's that old adage? "if you have to say you're better than everyone else, you aren't". we're all autistic losers at the end of the day, so i don't know why gigaspergs rip on genshin fans as if they're somehow superior just because they move a different set of pixels around on a screen.

I mean, I like this game and everything, but from a game design stand point it's a complete mess

>Poorly written main story
>Weird, janky, low budget cutscenes that look worse than games made 20 years ago like Final Fantasy X
>Open world lacks interactivity
>Quests usually just involve going to a place, having some npc gush at you for 20 minutes, do some basic combat, leave
>Co op is level gated and not fun or useful anyway. It can also be deactivated if you start a certain quest line
>No real end game content besides abyss which sucks and gives awful rewards
>One of the worst fandoms out there

Though to be fair, it also has

>Interesting and varied cast of characters to choose from
>Surprisingly F2P friendly
>Fun, unique combat system
>RPG system is complex enough to make team building fun and interesting
>Free regular content guaranteed for years

Genshin's co-op has always been ass. 90% of randos in co-op drop like flies, and you have less interactivity if you're not the host.

Genshin fanzine dedicated to the maybe-brothers/maybe-lovers Kaeya and Diluc “fired” a mod for “coming out as pro ship.” All of this is nonsense and something nobody who isn’t terminally online will understand. None of these words make sense.

True. I always thought that I knew what pro-shipping means support to the concept of shipping, a.e. attributing romantical/sexual relationships to characters, who are not in this kind of relationship in canon of their story. Dunno what 'fanzine' is, but definetly sounds like a breeding ground for this stuff. And here I read that they are expulging one of their own because he stands for, what I assume, their entire collective is created for in the first place. Shit's confusing.

the pro-ship vs anti-ship debate is retarded. the base argument comes down to pro-ship believes that anyone can ship whatever and if you don't like it, just block and move on. anti-ship believes that if someone ships something morally reprehensible (ranging from pedophilia to just toxic relationships), they should be told not to. the discourse comes with many associating pro-shippers with being pro-ship automatically makes them support pedophilia and the like. both sides are stupid but even claiming things like "it's just fiction" to the idiots on the anti-ship side will get them to think you're pro-ship and harass you because "fiction ALWAYS affects reality".

as for fanzines, they're just collaborative projects made by fans of a particular media. they tend to be books (hence -zine, coming from magazine) but some are purely digital. it's just a bunch of artists (and potentially writers) making content centered around something. in the case about, it's a fanzine centered around kaeya and diluc's relationship as brothers.

tldr: pro-ship/anti-ship retarded, fanzines are kinda ok.

so basically the maybe incest shipping fans have a problem with maybe pedophilia shipping
we must stop the degeneracy! cried the frog, as he posted more degeneracy. lol. lmao.

Gotta love how the one person who goes “I hate men” has Xiao, a male character, as their pfp and is trying to roll for Venti, another male character.

Clowns make on average $51k annually, and these retards are doing it for free.

Thanks to Twitter now I know calling a female chink tsundere is the equivalent of calling the KFC customer base nigger.
