Dislyte is some tranny game with a roster literally filled to make a diversity quota, it has literally 1/1,000,000 of a follower count on twitter than Genshin does. I'm willing to bet most of the people upset by this, who claim to represent the culture Hoyoverse are basing this update off of, were born and raised in America and are only related to the culture by blood. Any native person from the Middle East wouldn't give a shit about this because they've got bigger problems to worry about.

I was curious about this game's reception in China, so I checked out their social media and reviews. As expected, the game was blatantly designed for a Western audience - the global server was released before Chinese servers. There's some praise for the artstyle, but it's mostly because it's distinctly Western and thus fresh to Chinese players; some reviews comment about how it won't be popular in China because of its artstyle, too. Most of the reviews are shit, but that's because it's a cashgrab game from a known cashgrab game developer and people are fed up with boring gameplay and no freebies.
I say 'most,' but I mean like, 'ten.' This game has almost no audience in China. Their Weibo posts are getting literal single-digit likes and comments and their recent Bilibili videos have a few thousand views at best. There's really no comparison to Genshin. As one review put it best, 'yet another game to trick foreigners out of their money. Doubt it'll even last two months.'
