both brands need to get their shit together *a lot* more to contend with the new games in town.
Too bad they don't have some easy to film, cheap to produce thing that could take up lots of TV time and still carry an international audience.

WWE showed slight sparks of greatness with a pretty good WM card, and TNA *can* have good matches when they put effort into it, but both brands need to get their shit together *a lot* more to contend with the new games in town.
I was kind of so-so on the last Wrestlemania. These days I find the dark matches more entertaining than the main events. It's kind of the same way how I tend to enjoy MMA pre-lims rather than the names... Mostly because the guys are working hard to get noticed, while the top tier seem to be going through the motions.

...Also, I'm ashamed to say that I'm now a Total Diva's junkie. I never liked the girls wrestling since Alundra Blayze left, but the quirkiness soon got to me and the marketing worked. I do hope it's a precursor to the girls getting their own show on the network.

So I'm watching Carlito's dad's shitty promotion from PR. I left the room when it went to commercial (although PR local spots are charming) and I might rewind it when I get back. At least they had a mic at the arena this time. One time they just had commentators talking over dead silence.

WWE and TNA both built up a lot of ill will over the years and damaged their brand in the eyes of the viewers. The only thing that can turn their ships around is time and commitment to a quality, believable product, and actual hype for the weekly shows.

It's likely too late for TNA. They just don't have a good platform anymore, and aren't paying their crew properly. There just isn't enough time to change the perception. WWE'll be fine for as long as they have their TV deal, but they'll be a lot better off if they right the course of their sinking ship.

Believe me, I've seen my share of "exceptional individuals" at shows for the indy fed I support.

One night, one of the heels came out to do the "Heel challenges anyone in the back to an impromptu match" routine, and some meat head in the audience kept trying to climb into the ring to answer the challenge. Literally, they had to stop the show to convince this dude that audience members couldn't answer the heel's challenge. (This guy was a really stubborn, Jersey Shore-esque type, so he was obnoxious about it the whole way through).
That's how the wild Samoans got their start, trying to kill Pat Patterson by jumping the guard rail. That sperg might have been the next Zack Ryder!

omg Lucha Underground went full Dragonball.
They literally had a match where the winner won one of the seven legendary Aztec medallions, which when assembled, will grant immortality.

Steen on RAW, in a feud with Cena?

Is this the real life?

Kill Steen Kill and so forth.

Two big pieces of TNA news today. One, they're getting sued by Bischoff for $114k and change in unpaid wages and two, Destination America has decided to cancel their show in September, when it becomes legally possible to do so.

e: More exact figure

And only Dixie Carter was shocked by this news.

Apparently the show gets better ratings than anything else on the channel but, for some reasons, advertisers aren't keen on a program called "TNA Wrestling" and won't even take ad slots there as make-good spots. Who'd have thought the name would make them seem almost as trashy as their angles do?

NXT Unstoppable was great. I can not believe I am saying this but overall WWE has been fantastic lately

That was the intention from the beginning. The original business model back in the weekly PPV days was an attempt to trick people into buying porn PPVs.

I wish I was lying.
